I hope the project gets approved. Angel Beats was a fantastic show that became Key's best selling anime easily and quickly. A visual novel is bound to be even better, because it is a terrain they know very well.

Wonder how this is going to turn out though... Ever since the things that went out in episode 13 where Otanashi was left behind in that world all by himself... Or they might change everything...

Judging from how that blog post was made all the way back in June, and yet I haven't heard one word about this anywhere else, and the fact that I could find no mention of a second season on the Japanese wiki-site or the show's homepage, I'm inclined to believe that this is fake. Besides, what would this second season even be about? Everyone already passed on. There's no more story to tell unless they make it take place in the middle of season one, or completely replace the entire cast.

Yeah, that's fake. In the Japanese link posted on the blog, if you scroll down to the bottom of the post, the guy writes "でもまだガセかもしれないから次の情報にきた" -- basically "but this could be fake, so wait for confirmation". It's fake.

The rumor, back when it first popped up, was that it'd be an animated version of the manga/novel. Ie: a prequel.
