This Week's episode:
In Attendance, the Six Paths of Pain - ペイン六道、見参 ~ Pein Rikudō, kenzan.

Description:

Jiraiya blinds one of the new Pains, and Lord Fukasaku suspects that all three share the same eyes and vision, while Jiraiya realizes that each of the bodies has only one specific purpose. Jiraiya stalls for time while Lord Fukasaku and Lady Shima prepare a powerful genjutsu to defeat the bodies and are successful in doing so. As Jiraiya leaves another Pain ambushes Jiraiya destroying his left arm. As Jiraiya looks up he sees six Pains, including the three that were killed. He stands horrified wondering just who and what Pain truly is.

But good fight.

This episode was pretty impressive. The Genjutsu used was pretty cool and so was the speed of Jiraiya's Taijutsu.

But once again all Jiraiya's efforts were wasted.

It's a shame they don't have a really good battle music for this series. It would of made the mood a lot more exciting.

They have quite a few good battle tracks, and some times they even use them. But I agree the choice of tracks for this episode was bad all around.

A good episode, liked the genjutsu part.

But next one seems to be far better

Sorry I should clear it up. I know they have good ones I just meant they didn't use them in this episode.

And I'm surprised of the combined attack they used at the start that Ma used the Katon jutsu!

I think they didn't use the up beat battle music because of the mystery surrounding Pain pretty much the entire episode and the fact that Jiriaya was in deep shit pretty much all through the episode.

I did not care a bit when Asuma died but I can't watch this... Jiraya made a mistake by not cutting them to pieces and just stabbing them.

Now he doesn't stand a chance against 6 and him having lost 1 arm.

I bet he has some nasty pervy tricks up in his sleeve, like frogs coming from his severd arm or whatever.

THey have a resurrection justu. It wouldn't have mattered.

What Freya said. I was wondering when I read that comment prior to watching the episode that if Jirayia would make such mistake. He did not. He killed them as confirmed by those toads. Their summoning technique was able to bring three deads back. They truly has attained immortality.

I guess we start preparing for Jiraiya's funeral.

While the animation wasn't as good as the previous episode, the dialogue and the information that came out of the episode was so good. Looks like we find out the true story behind Pein next week.

These episodes feel so short. Doesn't feel like 20 mins at all.

If it is in regards to Pein, I guess it shouldn't be too hard to work out what is in store for us. If we assume this is Yahiko, then it makes a lot of sense at the change. Perhaps Nagato's death has triggered everything. And he probably died when trying to save those two.

Anyway, I'll go read what Alchemist has to say. Don't say, "yes" or "no" to the above to confirm or deny if you are a manga reader. Okay? We will find out soon enough.

Yeah I agree, I don't think we can say it was a Mistake from Jiriaya...

Im really surprise that we are already in the part where Jiriaya lost his arm, the anime team sure have covered this fight rather quick. Cant say if that's is good or Bad....
