Eps. 6, again a standalon story...............

No Mainstory at all, and i can't see anyone one coming up.......

Dante as always has no problems at all killing the boss........

Another standalone episode again, although it's pretty good.

But it seems that the next episode is connected to this episode, since it mentions about wishes and how to pay for them. The wish thing is also mentioned in this episode too

As I had heard this episode was up to the mark. I was happy to see a cold Dante the one I am longing for but I was not disappointed seeing a caring Dante. I liked the them it was love that too forbidden love. I was expecting a sad ending to that love but luckily, for me it was not so

Also this arc has a good story the tale was combined into DMC format pretty well. Kudos to the writers and the director for executing this episode. This kind of episode leaves you wanting for more unlike Episode 1 and 2

Sad to see some people not really that into this series.

Me? I am loving it.
Never really gave the games a chance, Watching this show makes me want to give them a run now. Maybe I'll pick up the one that is coming for the xbox360 >_>

Also, This series has one hell of a soundtrack, Has an OST been released for it?

Before the episode commentary, once again the show carries some great music. In addition to the OP and ED, the inserts and background music have been solid since the beginning and continue to be solid.

The episode itself (6) was alright, once again a standalone episode that had a decent story. I'm not sure when, if ever, they are going to get around to a main storyline. They really don't have that many episodes left. Now there's nothing wrong with a primarily episodic format (see Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo as good examples), however you have to get to more of an overarching story at some point. Anyways, here's hoping to something new like that next week.

WTF................

Patty (=kawaii xD) is getting older quite fast! She much more older now than in the first episode. I think, i can see her playing a major role in the final when she is an adult then........

Perhaps time-jumps?

Man i think they will keep this one-episode-arc-format until the end...........

There is no character-developement at all, nothing changes at all.

Every time the same........

I was wondering if any has seen this series yet and they think of it so far? I seen some of the episodes and it is a real awesome anime based of a sweet game and great novels.

I actually like the series, but I didn't play the games.

I just wish that he would do one Devil Trigger before the series ends.

Use something other than Rebellion, Ivory and Ebony before the title ends.

This series has a heart. It even had nice water effects in ep. 7. The insert songs are great too. I'm also impressed with the details that were included for Ivory and Ebony in ep. 7. And whatever is brewing in the background since ep. 1 is starting to surface imo.

Yeah, Patty is really cute

, I like her since the first episode. I hope like you say that she play a major role in the final arc and a also see a kickass fight for Dante.
Well the anime right now is advancing slowly with standalone episodes but I'm really enjoined, I suppose that with only 12 episodes it could be a possibility make another season.

Episode 7 seems to be the beginning of a wider arc, or actually episode 6, with the demon that gave whatzisname the bell, who is the same one who grabbed the split mask at the end of ep 7.

That demon appears in episode 8 too, and episode 8 explains a bit of Dante's childhood. (sort of)

I don't really understand episode 8 though. Is Dante the same Tony whom Ennis knew in the past?

Little bit of DMC history for you. When the first two DMC games were released, a novel was written for each. These novels detailed the events before the games, prequels basically.

For the DMC1 novel: After the demon attack that killed his mother, Dante developed amnesia. Thus he takes on the alias of Tony Redgrave. The events of the novel detail how he regained his memory.

If you look carefully at Ebony and Ivory, you will see "For Tony Redgrave" engraved on them.

Now, the novels are no longer canon due to how much the contradict the events of DMC3, mostly due to Vergil's very different involvment in each. The recent DMC manga has replaced the first novel.

Nevertheless, the anime has brought back some elements of the novels. The most prominent at first was Dante's love of strawberry sundaes, which he comically ordered at a shady mercenary bar in the novel.

It seems they have now revisted the Tony Redgrave alias.

I think that there is more to that demon then it appears. This is the second time that he dodged Dante's attack after all. He collected that mask in ep. 7 for a reason too.

The anime is promising, but it is kinda lacking story.
I used rather many days of my life, beating the crap out of my PS2 with DMC 1 and 2 and my keyboard with DMC 3, and these games are so good, they deserve a good anime :3

I love DMC. There doesn't seem to be a plot at all, just Dante owning one demon after another. I really hope to see Dante at least struggle in some of those fights. It seems like that will happen sooner or later, and the weird guy who stole the mask may just be Dante's first ( or last) big challenge.
