Queen found in Jaegu someone to whom money in and of itself took a backseat to other things in life. Coming from her corporate conglomerate world, that was what, I believe, first made her notice him. He didn't see her as a means to obtain money, or as a prize, or influence or prestige.

Then visiting his home, and seeing his struggles to raise and feed his siblings, was likely a unique experience which impressed her. He is very different from the vast majority of people with whom she grew up.

Just my take on this story.

daldal on the other hand just wanted a good grade so she deliberately got close to him but since he initially rejected her, daldal took it as an offence to her feminine charm and as she kept trying to woo him, she started to really take an interest in him and fell for him all completely

If there's any character I hate now, it's Jae Gu. I'm conflicted with the fact that he had his younger siblings stand up for him. Worse, it takes his younger siblings to be in danger for him to start defending others. I thought he was over his meek self.

Not that I really mind her at all. But with the rate the manhwa is going (beach episode after closing into the 200-chapter count, ) I'd love to see more stuff happening outside the fighting.

Why do people only think of the plot as moving forward when romance starts to progress?

I don't read this series for the angsty romance, I read it for the lol's and occasionally to see someone get their asses kicked.

What I call the plot moving forward is whenever Jae gu's mom decides to come back into the picture, or his family situation in general.

Nah, his friendzoning her is him having an incredible inferiority complex. We all know that it is nonsense and that he wants to be more than friends, even Dal knows that and that is the reason why she is so mean towards Queen.
It's just that this dude has no self-confidence at all and I think he shoud try to learn to love himself first before he can accept that someone likes him too.
