hmm ... Fma series? Wolf's Rain? RahXephon? DTB? And Eureka7 was also pretty decent actually. There's also movies like Cowboy Bebop KOHD or Sword of the stranger.
EDIT : Oh, I still feel bad for them, but that's better than anything.

I guess I will give this a shot because of the staff involved but the PV didn't exactly peak my interest at all.
Gainax has Gurren Lagann & Gunbuster, they don't really need anything else from personal perspective. So they aren't the same studio that made NGE, things change. I am sure this same discussion will happen about Kyoani & Shaft in the future.

I wonder why Shaft isn't revealing the format of this animation or when it will air. Like said before, it may only turn out to be a series of shorts or OVAs, but I really want it to turn out to be a series. Anyway, what is the possibility that this will air in the fall? Seriously, think about it. There is already quite a bit of animation that has been done, and the trailer seems to have two pieces of theme music. Two! OP & ED, anyone?
On the other hand, the Nendoroids are pretty suspicious. Another theory I have is that these Nendoroids were created first, and then Shaft was hired to make an anime out of them. Or OVAs, at least. I don't know how likely that is, but if it's true, I'll be kind of disappointed. |

Since they put "reference exhibition" in sculptor credit, I'm sure those Nendoroids are printed from 3D printer. The way GSC's staff put it make me think it's not for Nendoroid promotion ("we're producing figurines for much anticipated Kantoku x SHAFT works!").

I'm sure she's pretty much alive. Likely Itaru's little sister.

The third one sounded like Imai Asami to me so it's probably her or some new voice actor who has a similar voice to hers. |

Okay after watching the preview I don't know what to think. For something that's following in the foot steps of madoka it seems plain but I know its going to work because magical girl stuff sells. However I will wait for the show to air before I hold my final judgement after all madoka had us going for a minute as well before the WAM! Episode.
