Because when people say they take an entire month to clear a Raid, it also includes repeated attempts.

For example, say a Raid Instance has 8 bosses in total. In the first week you've only manage to clear 3/8 of them, the Instance restarts and you do it all over again, but this time your Raid party is prepared for it, the first two bosses go down relatively easily while the third still requires getting used to. Then you hit another wall with the next two bosses and burn up the entire week like this.

You repeat the cycle until you beat the final boss then you cleared the Raid.

Over time your Guild well starts get better at it until you can clear the whole thing in one or two session. But until then it's a long way to the top if you want to Raid

I understand that it's their first time challenging this dungeon that's clearly new content. Trying again and again and learning with every try, no matter how long it takes, is one of the better sides of games after all. The problem is, Shiroe said that it's pretty much the norm to take a month on full raids, no mention of whether it was the first time or not. Plus, they haven't been going in and out--they finished two bosses and have been wandering the instance since, looking for the third one. Or else they would just restock their dwindling supplies before entering the dungeon again. I was pointing out that the average time per raid in Elder Tales is clearly on a different scale than other MMOs, which I found weird, since all previous aspects of the game seemed to be pretty casual friendly.
That's because even after clearing it the first time, it doesn't mean your guild can breeze passed the content with little difficulty. In general most guild would still continue to fail to clear in under a week for a long time.

(Don't forget, you have to teach the new guys the ropes)

This episode had me thinking, while the existance of the golden wirlpool does explain how monsters drop money, but doesn't explain where phantasmal equipments, items, etc. came from.

Explanations of the nature of phantasmal equipment rarety, I'm not sure if anime went into detail about this but this is general fact from LH wiki. In any case, I don't think this can even qualify as a spoiler.

Spoiler for But just in case...:

These items are so unique and rare that I can't help but wonder who craft these items and put them inside raid bosses?

The novel doesn't even give a proper explaination, so no I don't think it's a spoiler as of yet?

They're part of the raid boss themselves, at least that's how it is explained in every other mmorpg game there is. Money though, well that's an entirely different thing, considering that most animals/monsters don't have a need for currency.

^It's amusing, how something like Bloody Axe of <insert boss name> drops from a boss, which is clearly double the size of your character, but when you equip it, it's just a normal size axe.

not to mention getting low level swords from insects or rats but that explanation makes sense for say "+4 yellow-red seven-eyed ostrich monster feather" or similar items

Ok, say that Bloody Axe or whatever is something monster originally possesses, do they craft the weapon by themselves or they received it from someone or something else?

using the explanation from s1 it would seem that monsters are spawned in, then they craft the items themselves like what happened in that goblin event before, if not then they're spawned in with the monster itself.

Having never played a MMO I really didn't know anything about raiding so this episode was really informative about how hard and time consuming it can be.

It seems like Demikas is going to continue causing problems for everyone.

Next episdoe is apparently going to be Akatsuki and Lenessia centric. Hope Akatsuki can find what she is looking for and that Lenessia can regain her hope that People of the land and Adventurers can understand each other.

Heart was pounding throughout the episode.

William's passion as a Guild Master is so touching. Great character building episode.

The Grind is real!

Oh man, this show really causes that itch to MMO to flare up again, eh?

*starts to think about his raid nights he went to on a weekly basis*

Ah, the good old days.

Just for the record, no instances in EQ.

I can't wait for the OST to come out for this season. Definitely getting it.

Great action in the latest episode. Hell, even Tetra impressed me a bit. The wyvern kick was awesome as well.

Nice episode, like how they explain the raid and also when they show more about William's character.

I have mixed feeling about first two episode, however I'm impressed by this episode. They capture the essence of raid, a real MMORPG raid, perfectly. At very least, way better than SAO SS1 EP2 lol.

Also, Demikas is surprisingly entertain to watch

If they die so often shouldn't they forget more and more about their old lives till only their past in this new world exists? I would be scared as heck to forget my family and friends on earth. Even if I could never get to see them again, forgetting about them would be much scarier than being sad to not be together with them.
