Just give us the damn studio and staff info already. I'm gonna give up on anime if they don't do this right. BONES is the perfect studio for this anime. Just look at the artstyle. It right up their alley.

Takuya Kirimoto (Dynasty Warriors' Zhuge Dan, JoJo's J. geil), Tsuyoshi Koyama (BlazBlue's Shishigami Bang, that bald guy in Hanayamata) and Katsuhisa Houki (Gecko Moria and Jimbei in One Piece,) joined the cast.

Airing in Summer 2015

Director: Shukō Murase
Series Director: Koichi Hatsumi
Series Composition: Inotsume Shinichi
Character Design: Ueda Hitsujiichi
music: TSUTCHIE
Studio: Mangalobe

Welp, Mangalobe means this show is pretty much doomed

Staff list looks decent but it's been a while since they've put out something good looking and it's probably going to be single cour now.

It's your personal opinion. Samurai Flamenco and new Hayate was a disaster but calling KamiNomi or Unlimited bad is only your personal opinion.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. I started reading the manga, and I like it, it's nice and everything, but at volume 5 I feel like it's getting too long and has too many characters for its own good.

I have a suspicion that was more in reference to Manglobe being the kiss of death for any series' commercial prospects.

It's still subjective cause their manga adaptations made a bump for original material sales but yes, unfortunately no of their series sold decently.

I don't think their shows are bad per-se but their adaptions usually have issues and pretty much everything they've worked on has been a commercial failure which doesn't bode well for this series.

Pssst, guys - it mostly depends on how much money Manglobe gets to spend on animation. It's not necessarily Manglobe's fault if they have to work with a shoestring budget...

In the meanwhile I'm still trying to find out what fandom I remember the mangaka from. I'd swear she's done doujinshi before...

Only reason that turned out great was because of Watanabe and the talent he brings to the table. I agree that Manglobe definitely isn't the best pick for an action anime.
I was really hoping for BONES. Especially considering how much alike the general BONES art is to Gangsta's art.

The problem with most manga adaptions by Manglobe as of late is that they feel lifeless and mediocrely directed. I can vouch on that for Hayate (Having read the manga), but I've seen a good deal of criticism from manga fans of their other works (Most noticeably Kami Nomi and Deadman Wonderland) House of Five Leaves was great, though I'd contribute that to having one of the best directors in the industry working on that.

The staff for Gangsta looks decent at the moment, so I wouldn't call this out just yet.

I don't remember much complaints from Kami Nomi fans. Most of them were satisfied. Only some radical ones criticized it. As for Deadman Wonderland... yes, that adaptation was bad.

As you see action shows need studios that are better at it. Champloo was long time ago and with good director.

Action shows need producers who are willing to pay a studio that does good action animation, or pay enough to a studio to be able to allocate enough resources for better action animation. If you cook cheap you won't get a five-star meal.

For what it's worth, though, technically this is not really an action story at the beginning (which a 1-cour anime would cover). Sure, there's action, but it's not what I'd call an "action show". More along the lines of Gungrave.

good action comes generally from free lancers and star animators
so we can get good stuff like this shit from akira H.

The character designs have strong visual roots of Deadman Wonderland considering it's Manglobe, but with this and Genocidal Organ movie of the Project Itoh trilogy they're currently working for, this is going to end up a decent year for them after a long break in a while. I seriously hope they won't go bankrupt with their current financial track record though.
