I am really enjoying these chapters. The right blend of comedy and drama at the end. Excellent stuff.

And I wish we'd get a full on anime adaptation.

Hey guys, I've been looking for hours about some info about this manga and light novel so if somebody with information about them could help me out I would be grateful.
1.In terms of story where is manga compared to the LN?
2.How does the 4th LN end(and is it the last LN since it came out in 2008)?

I haven't read the LNs but from what I have been told, the manga is pretty accurate it just has some more harem comedy and filler chapters thrown in.

I didn't read the LN either. But if it is indeed as gruesome as it was told then I'm actually glad I didn't read it since I don't like that kind of story.

I'm so glad the scanlations are picking up again. I wonder if J.A.C is using the Chinese raws, I can't seem to find the Japanese scans for the latest chapters. Hope they keep up the good work!

Where is the best point to start reading this, for someone who watched the anime?

Start from the beginning. It's slightly different where the story starts and how it tells how Shinkurou and Murasaki met anyway.

I feared you would say that.
How many chapters to recap then, before I get to fresh material?

Mangaupdates is good for things like this.

Anime Start/End Chapter
Starts at Ch. 8
Ends at Ch. 17

Like I said before though, it tells the story in my opinion much better and Shinkurou is much less of a worthless fighter in any case compared to the anime.

MangaUpdates is wonderful! And I second starting from chapter one. The anime is quite different (not in a bad way) after all.

I agree most heartily!! I loved the anime but the manga is quite different but also very good in it's own way.

The chapter released in June (06/04) will be the last chapter, so two more chapter to go.

That's most disappointing. I take it there is more novel story to tell and the manga is getting axed?

If the wikipedia page of Kure-nai is up-to-date then only 4 novels has been released and the last one was 4 years ago. It's possible that the manga has stopped following the novel from some time now and they simply have decided to stop the manga (not all manga are axed )

Actually, If I'm not wrong, the current manga is following the novel. In chapter 50 of the manga, there is a page that is very similar to an illustration in the fourth volume of the LN. I think maybe they run out of material, maybe the author will finish the manga for now so he can go back to the LN to continue it.

What will happen to Shinkuro when he thinks that Benika is dead.
I hope Benika is still alive.

The manga is following the LN...Mostly.

Lets just say that the LN is more violent and grim dark; a certain person on the good guy side didn't survive the events of the second volume, the one involving the guillotine girl. For spoiler sake I won't reveal who, but she did survive in the manga version.

Also, the manga adds alot more character development to all the characters in my opinion. The whole arc with Yuno's 'brother' never occurred in the LN.
