oh, I think Sylar is the bit where everyone loves and hates. I mean he kills his mother, girlfriend(I don't have to spoilerize cuz I never said who the girl was :P), everyone he knows.
Plus, its wierd how much of a b**ch Claire is.....I mean she complains when she can feel pain and then when she loses feelings.

I used to kinda like the show (if just for Sylar), not so much now. It seems the writers can't decide what they want to do with the story and go off on random tangents, only to totally ignore it later.

I hated Arthur and his overpowered power. Sylar/Peter were one thing, but stealing people's powers is just cheap. I especially hated how he randomly popped out of nowhere, then "LOLZ I GOT UR POWER TEEHEE~" and went back to doing whatever. Lame. I was so happy when Sylar killed him, and I hope he somehow survived getting stabbed. Next season looks kinda meh again, but they could redeem it if it was nothing but Sylar hunting down the hunters. I know he wouldn't have a problem killing the bastards trying to force him in some facility, bwahaha.

The thing about Heroes is this...It's good when viewed thru the lens as a straight suspense-filled comicbook, but bad when viewed thru the lens as a realistic comic book...There are so many unspeakably bad plot-holes and contrivances, but somehow I still find myself enjoying it...It's kinda like how I would enjoy an ep of Code Geass, because the actors were good or some scenes were really freakin' cool...Heroes has alot of actors that I like (Peter, Sylar, Parkman, The Haitian, Horned-rim glasses guy, The Professor, etc. all have perfect actors for the characters)...Oddly enuff not many great women characters, but they are all hawt to look at (Maya for teh win!!)..The cheerleader is pretty much an overkilled character at this point (Basically she's just the all-American blonde hawtty and that's it) and I hate how they killed Micah's whole arc and turned his Mom into a 3rd twin played by the same chick (and her story arc is wak too)...But with Heroes you gotta take the good with the bad, and the good to me is provided by the actors for certain characters and the simple dramatic and suspenseful moments that when they work, they really work (Like when the painter got his head chopped off by Peter's dad )...All in all when you use the power of suspending belief it's easy to enjoy at times...Obviously it has lots of problems if you don't suspend belief (Sylar's constant changing of sides, Claires' mind-boggling lack of growth, Hiro's ability to clean-up any $hitty plotline with his time power), but overall it's still a fun, action, comicbook that does engage the mind as well as the eyes..

But those who think it's as good as LOST, need ...Maybe season 1, but that's it...The story just isn't woven together with any sort of consistency that's even close to LOST's story...That doesn't make it trash, but it's just not that strong from a story-structure perspective...Meh, I like Supernatural even more than Heroes (I'm actually lying I friken love Supernatural), but the promise that the story can get better is another reason to watch aswell...I just hope it's incredible twists will one day be met with a consistent story just as incredible (I still think it has a chance to do that)...

i can not agree with this statement. because yes X-men has some similer powers but in X-men it is all about the people with powers and in Heroes it has a lot of characters who don't actully have powers anymore and the show is sucessful because of the fact that it is strong at merging the two things together. yes the main focuse may be on the people with powers but, thay are only able to have tis sucess because of the people supporting them. the ones who don't have powers and sometimes act as a moral compass for the ones that do.
also teh obivious one is that there are some similer powers but, not all. by a majority it has a lot of people who have different powers.
also in X-men it is about a school so the storyline stays in one place in a sense, there is no need to have it to integrate all the different people as they are all in one place. in heroes that is one of the strong points, as it finds ways to have everyone link into one main plot. it's not just the goody and baddy but all of them have some sort of bad side to them and can be menipulated.

OMG!!! I'm shocked.J/K I'm not a hardcore Heroes fan,but the show really make me interested to watch it. I'm glad they do something different with the storyline & the characters.People can easily get attached to the show & to me it's more realistic than X-Men.

I love this show, fan of Peter... He shows alot of heroics, more then most of them. Though I did like season 1 and 2 much more then season 3.

i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. there were so many questions that could have been solved so many different ways. i always knew that Peter was going to take the injection so that was coming a mile off.

i was kind of sad that clair;s mum died. taht was unfortunate. she had a very good ability. we now know how the formula was in two pieces. though i find it kind of weird that Hiro's dad could not tell in the future that it was his son that cut the formula in half.

it's going to be very intresting to see how Hiro will get his powers back as he did not take the injectiona. and the roles are reversed now that Ando has powers and Hiro does not. also Hiro is like most people's favourite character so they will think of some way to get it back.

loved Ando at the start as he was trying to discover what his powers were. that was sooooo funny. though his power must have something more to it as it would not be a very powerfull ability to himself. also the future that Hiro went to where him and Ando were fighting and Ando killed Hiro is still possible as that Red thing that emits from Ando was the power used to kill Hiro.

also Mohinder could stil have abilities as he did kind of take the formula. there is still that possibilty. hope we also get to see Micha(can't spell(Nikki's kid))again as his photo was in the file.

just watched episode 14 and i must say that Heroes has caught my attention again.

great episodes but, the main question would be that is Nathen trying to segrigate them or is he trying to recruit them. from the looks of it he went after some of the most powerfull ones, but, i highely doubt that Scyler was getting caught to be recruited.
also they might have some sort of ability or it could be that they made a material resistent to Tracy's ice. though that would be unlickely IMO. or that could have been the Hatiean.

overall the episode was very good and some of the things i saw coming but, not all. also what is with Peter's powers now. can he only have one ability at a time or is it that he got his dad's powers. also before he only needed to be close to people to get there powers but, not he had to touch them. also Parkmen has a power up or just a moment. he has the future sight as well??

questions have risen, which was going to happen if they wanted to keep the series fresh and keep the audience. i guess we will start to get some answers, hopefully soon.

I have to say I really liked the new episode. I liked the earlier episodes of the season but I feel this episode has set the story up to take some really interesting twists and turns. Though I liked volumes 2 and 3, they just weren't up to the quality of volume 1. I think they have a chance to bring the show back to greatness depending on what directions they take this new season in.

I agree with you. One thing though, I hate Claire now, she is just some whiny kid. Peter is just ehh.. I like Hiro first and second season, but third season made him a bit more annoying (especially when he was a "kid"). Good thing about the season is that the Sylar I liked and enjoyed is back (instead of that "oh there is a reason I'm evil" thing from season 3). Lets hope this season improves.

I would rather poke my eyes out with a fork than watch one more f*cking episode of Heroes. The character writing is probably the worst I've seen in years of bad tv shows. Everyone changes their personality from one episode to the next. In one episode, the evil bitch will be evil, and in the next, she'll be a reformed saint, and then suddenly evil in the next one. Motivations are just so. . .temporary. . .it's like the characters have no real souls.

It's obvious to me that the writers sit and listen to the internet after every episode and then they'll change their writing according to what the fans liked.

That's a soul-less way to write a story.

There were a lot of points I agree with.

aohige's summary of Heroes' plot is pretty accurate. Also, I'm fairly tired of good-guy vs. bad-guy stories. It's too elementary. There's no mystery or suspense. Yes, there can be plot twists, but that's not the same thing. In addition, real life doesn't work that way. Rarely, if ever, can people's biggest obstacles and problems be unified in a single entity. It's just doesn't make a believable or interesting plot. Examples contrary are: Lost, Journeyman, xxxHolic. All of which I like much more than Heroes.

ezara's point about characters switching personalities is also true, and very annoying. The first season didn't have this issue, and that was the only season I liked overall. The rest is largely just a confusing muddle.

Finally, reincarnation is a huge no-no in my book. I don't understand why directors or writers can be so incredibly stupid to include reincarnation. First, it's a cheap re-start tool. "Oh, we already shot an inconvenient scene in a previous episode, but now we changed our minds. So let's just reincarnate the guy!" Second, it completely destroys the dramatic effect of death. Someone died? Oh whatever who cares, they'll just be reincarnated later. As mortals, death is a powerful event that anyone can understand and relate to. To discard it simply because the storyline became inconvenient is just... unbelievably stupid. If played right, death can greatly enhance the overall story (FFVII anyone?).

Heroes started out alright. But the writers producers w/e quickly showed that their skills aren't at the elite level quite yet. The ancient Japan arc was funny though.

Daphne getting killed was the most rushed through and insignificant death in this entire show. I mean I never liked her character anyway, but now they decide she's not useful after not even a full season and kill her off. I guess its a motivation for Parkman to want revenge but he doesn't even look that consumed by rage or anything. Writers get a fail for that.

Peter needs some real work as a character. Suddenly he can only take one power at a time now. I mean this would have made much more sense if they did that at the beginning of the show but instead the writers finally figured out that maybe its not a good idea for Peter to be able to absorb everyone's powers and become a super bad ass. Otherwise, Peter needs more as a character, I know he is supposed to be cold now but he needs work.

Hopefully this new kid won't only be around for the rest of this season. I hope they really flesh out him being Sylar's apprentice and make him into a new villain. Because Sylar is the series only real villain and its kinda weak for there to be only one villain and a bunch of heroes against him. Props to Sylar though for still being a bad ass and wrecking shit on his own.

Last week's was a great start, I'm definitely liking the tone and it beats Villains for me anyday. Volume 3 just felt weak and the plot didn't really go anywhere. =\

Daphne isn't dead, Brea Grant has already filmed episodes around 3x20 and 3x21 if I recall correctly. She's just being kept somewhere captive and Matt will go to save her later on when he finds out.

honstly Peter going "oh yeah i can only use one at a time now, i don't know why". what the hell were the writers thinking that just because they add one line in it would mean that they solved that issue. please, and the way he said it was like he just had a fart and out the line came, cause that is the only way the writers would have thought of it.

also those guys don't need to take take arms, lets face it all they would need is some sort of bullit proof jacket and some of them don't even need that. parkmed could have made an illusion and made all of those soldgers think otherwise, but, no he had to let her get killed. then goes on about wanting revenge. also how stupid is Daph, getting up in the middle of the sight, being as visible as she could be and putting up a huge flag saying oh! hear we are.

the series is getting a bit silly, also Hero was bound to get his powers back so now it's like the 1st season where he needs a blade and suddnlly everything never happen. the writers need to step it up so much if they want this to be a quality series. the thing with Scyler was sooo predictable as well. one of them had to have poweres if not both and then he lets them go which was coming a mile off, (because of the whole trobled past thing, the way he was talking it was so obivious) then goes on a journy. the writers are digging themselves a hole that is predictability.
