It seems the UI has been remade with a higher resolution and an Japanese language option has been added.

Um, it's complicated. Some of which I can talk about, some of which I can't. There was a change of translator/editor part way through that complicated things. At some point, we decided with 07th Expansion that the steam version would include both English and Japanese texts, which made things more complicated and required additional changes. The new version can switch at any time between either language. During some of the downtime, we additionally undertook re-doing a high res version of the UI. The original game you'll remember plays only at 640x480, but we made it so that the new art is native to a higher resolution so that it looks better when scaled up. It turns out that this makes everything that isn't higher res, like the user interface, stand out pretty badly, so we re-did a lot of the UI to look better at these resolutions.

And I had the pleasure to discover yesterday that my pre order got cancelled because my bank card needed to be updated. So I'll have to wait for Saturday before buying Sui for real this time. Probably won't get it before at least a week.

I am waiting for sui to be cheaper and await what others might think of it before I buy it. I am still playing super heroine, which has been engaging enough to afford the wait.

I bought an automatic mahjong table today, so my Otaku fund is tapped out now for two months but I am superhappy

The price has gone down for it actually. I saw it for like $80+ on PlayAsia and now its like $60+ (PS3/VITA)

A first screenshot comparison.

The ps3's is a screenshot of a video (same for the followings), so obviously, the quality is under what it should be.

But damn, they really improved some backgrounds. Some of them are mostly untouched tough. They mainly reworked on the shadows, trees and clouds from what I saw for now.
