I actually find that gold is actually very useful, and not overly plentiful, is one of the best things about this game. Vast majority of games gives you oodles and OODLES of gold, but nothing to spend it on. In here, you can't afford everything; heck, in order to afford everything for your main 4, you have to scrounge up every copper by selling practically everything you have AND you have to be very picky in what you buy.

When typing in the cheat, is the shortcuts suppose to be active as well? like pressing m opens up the map still?
Edit: cause even ignoring it and continue to input the cheat, nothign happens.

you have to alter the .ini file also to enable console, see the below to more exact directions
Spoiler:
the console is fun but screwing with it to much can corrupt the game so make sure you save before you do anything. Honestly it's fun for messing around and the gold limits makes alot of things easier (aka buying bags and class books as the lack of chest unless you get a mod or buy a dlc is retarded).

OMG! The difficulty from easy to normal is huge!!! I barely keep my party alive in normal.
BTW, why the hell does the melee chars have blood splatter after combat? Man! I can't stop laughing at them. It's so damn funny.

pretty sure it's intentional... i mean there's alot of blood splatter in the game... if you ever use blood magic it's so excessive it's like a fist of the north star scene... aka erupting blood spouts etc..

I had to turn it off for a while because it was just so distracting. I turned it back on after a while and now only my melee character gets blood on him, which seems to disappear after a while anyway. Which is better.

actually the blood only disappears when you load into a new area. I left my game on for a few hours once cause I had to run to the store and came back and the blood was still there. But once I went into a house the blood automatically disappears.

Well... you finished beating some bad guys and then you talk with someone right after. You will them covered with blood. It's so distracting. Their faces have blood all over it, even in the lips.
