You're from Interbasket forum, right? (I'm a lurker there.) Never thought I will see you here.

Nice story.

Yes, sir, I am. What is your handle there?

Now that I have the inspiration (again lol) to go back to this novel project of mine, I will consider basing the teams in my story off the senior men's teams of the recently conculded 2015 FIBA Asia Championship, excluding perhaps Japan (because my story is set in Japan).

My Hero Team is basically like this:

Spoiler for Third Years:

Spoiler for Second Years:

Spoiler for First Years:

Thoughts?

Spoiler for Extra 02 - Why You Should NOT Be Distracted With Bad Calls By The Refs:

One "oddity" (for a lack of better term) I see in b-ball fiction is that the refs' calls are always perfect, ostensibly to avoid complicating things which would make b-ball too realistic for a viewer's taste. Thinking of play-by-play scenes is already one thing, adding bad officiating to the equation would just hurt the head of any aspiring sports novel writer like me.

I wonder what can one do to show how bad calls by the refs can disrupt the game plans of any team, especially in fiction where calls by officials are impeccably perfect.

Any thoughts?

Almost out of hiatus now. Will update the next chapters as soon as I am able.

Questions first, though.

I have decided on a 5v5 scouting (for a lack of a better term) match between the freshmen (including the MC) and the senior members of the hero team (3rd year backcourt, 2nd year frontcourt).

Should I let the freshmen win out of sheer luck or should I let the seniors win anyway but will be impressed enough with our heroines to let them join the team?

For reference, look up at my character list at post #22.

Many thanks.

I am hereby discontinuing this writing project to give way for its rewrite and a new title.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Thanks everyone for taking their time to read and critique my work.

I am hereby requesting the mods to lock or delete this thread.

I have revived this writing project AGAIN, and hopefully I don't get bored ever again and this continues for a long time. Stay tuned for an upcoming thread.
