I thought it was that she was making sure the girl didn't have the tattoo, but...it was really creepy still.

I was blond when I was born and my hair now changed to a super dark brown. A lot of babies are born blue eyed and blonde. Isn't that a common thing? I don't think I changed from being blonde and blue eyed until about two months or so and then I was brown eyed and brown haired. I think Jumbo figured that Michiko might have taken the wrong girl seeing as though she'd never seen Hatchin save for a picture of when she was a baby.

Thanks. I'm familiar with most honorifics, but forgot about "chin". Interesting nuance regarding delinquents--ironic since Michiko's the delinquent

Umm... don't forget that Michiko called her a pervert because apparently Jumbo had sexual intentions toward her. I thought that skirt lift was not entirely in the line of duty, being held a bit long and initiating a bit too much interest on Jumbo's face.

That is true, it was implied Jumbo was a pervert and she does seem somewhat obsessive about Michiko. The look on her face was kind of creepy to me too. Oh and I can't remember her name like ever, so I'll just call her Jumbo all the time now.

Hey, now that gal might have been hot back in the day. People change, girls get pregnant, gain weight etc. Sometimes after pregnancy have trouble losing it, and of course as the years go by...

Still, I definitely agree, giving up Michiko... Not a smart thing to do.

Hey! You can get the weight off at least if you keep up a healthy lifestyle, maybe eat healthy and go for a walk every once in a while. It just takes a lot of patience and time. He looked confused to me. Did he even recognize Michiko or Hatchin?

No reason he would recognize Hatchin, but as for Michiko, it didn't look like he recognized her. He had to have heard what Hatchin called him though, I think that was the reason he was staring at her for so long.

After watching the subbed version, I have to admit, I really think that was him. Wonder who Hatchin's mom is though, if it really isn't Michiko.

I'm surprised it appears they ended the Hiroshi plotline so early. I wonder what they're going to use to drive the plot from here on out.

Wow. That episode was so well done but also so cliche. I totally knew the old woman's predictions will come true (it ALWAYS does. Or doesn't, hilariously. Either way).

I guess the one funny part is that Michiko probably saw herself as a fatter, child-raising woman and maybe she didn't fall in love with that kind of portrayal.

Other than that... that was anime 101. The psychic is actually a psychic. whodathunkit.

And don't forget that they grow up! That tattoo is going to look extremely distorted by the time she is an adult.

And just think what would happen to her tattoo if Michiko ever gets pregnant!

you got it right. We will confirm it in episode 4. If Michiko stops looking for Hiroshi in episode 4, then that guy was Hiroshi for sure.

Question

If they do confirm said whatchamacalit, then the writers will gain huge props from me.

Either way, as long as they don't do anything REALLY stupid with the plotline (which is flimsy anyways) the show rocks merely due to the strength of charisma, both from the characters, and overall execution.

Oh yea I LOVE the seiyuu here
