Talking Everything Burns

Nobuna's predicaments in vol 4 make me want to post this :P
Quote:
Once Zhuangzi dreamt he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering around, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn't know he was Zhuangzi. Suddenly he woke up and there he was, solid and unmistakable Zhuangzi. But he didn't know if he was Zhuangzi who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he was Zhuangzi. Between Zhuangzi and a butterfly there must be some distinction! This is called the Transformation of Things. (2, tr. Burton Watson 1968:49) wiki

This is a simplified version. Better to read them in the original language. I like Akechi adding "Desu" at the end of her sentences.

Oh btw, when Yoshiharu came to save Akechi at Kiyomizu, she thought that she was dreaming because of Matsunaga's black arts

If Akechi dies, Yoshiharu will wear a mask and a red suit and go "Juubei is the woman that could have become my mother." :P Jk

Nobuna said that she wanted to share her dreams of Tenka Fubu and crosses the seas with Yoshiharu and Akechi. Suddenly the girls are BFF

Watched episode 6: loved the episode. Had a really large feeling of disappointment when Nobuna couldn't make it to Sunomata though. In the end, they still lost Sunomata Castle, so... yeah. Uh oh.

Also, all their faces when Goemon pulls a Frankenstein. So lulz. And didn't that one worshiper over there get hit by a flaming arrow? Now that we mention it, didn't he get hit at Nagara too? Is that one worshiper immortal??!!?!?

I can't wait for the next episode, vol 3 starts. The preview showed Date Masamune and Louise Francis. It is going to be an interesting one.

dude that snake snake snake... seriously nailed dosan forever.

lolol....

I honestly question monkey's inteligence to read the outside surroundings.
He has to be smarter then hanbei at times.
Internally, yeah, he's a mess, however the bigger picture is legendary.
As proved by snake snake snake at the end.

also i just realized a parody.
Didnt zenki get shot by a cannon to cover up saru's death?
So if a cannon cant kill him, how does a matchlock?

Then you would try the last two Nobunaga's Ambition, and RoT IX or XI, they are pretty awesome. RoT VIII and X plays more like Taiko Risshiden games, I personally likes VIII more even though the RPG element in X might be more robust.

I may be mistaken but isn't desu like a period? Just signifying the end of a sentence.

Usually "desu" is used to signify politeness in speaking

Somehow I can't pinpoint the feeling, it sounds like a novice would write, or a bit cluttered thought process. I wasn't really the humanities/literature type and usually only read scholarly articles so I maybe a bit wrong. Besides, I don't read too many Japanese LNs in their raw form unless absolutely necessary.
Someone already said to me that if he wrote a story with the language at the same level as a LN in high school, he'd fail his term. There are often short and simple sentences, the figures of style (metaphor, etc.) aren't much present. There are not much interesting words neither.

Dunno, but it could "sound goddamn kawai, desu yo".

I wouldn't put dense and tsundere together. She's more the former, from what I've read. A tsundere is more someone who is overly shy and doesn't want to admit it. While Mitsuhide is more the kind of "Why, why does my heart be so fast" girl.

Sorry about that, when I think of Tsundere, the image of Louise from Zero no Tsukaima and Taiga from Toradora! comes to mind. Still Akechi from the anime, does not speak politely, more like a mocking manner. The anime does follow the Light Novel pretty good so many Akechi is the same way in the Light Novel.

As I wrote in Kokoro Connect: The term tsundere has been abused to the point it no longer has much meaning.

Yeah. Nowadays shy girls = tsundere. But well, I won't launch a debate on that.

Reading volume 3. Btw, do you guys know who are they talking about when they mention "a genius/young prodigy equal to Nobuna"?

Hmm, there were some characters introduce in that volume, but I got no one in mind. Maybe it is the Miko.

If it's V3, it's probably referring to Date Masamune, the world's first known chuunibyou patient...

She was show to have accepted western culture (though in a chuunibyou way) like Nobuna and is in a similar situation as well with her troubles within her own clan.

In vol 3 Date was lacking confident and had family issues because of her being mix blood or something that came out of an affair that her father did. Which Sagara fixed her up. It was pretty vague of Date's ability off the summary. Though it does make sense that she would rival Nobuna since she isn't tied down by Japanese traditions and pick up western ways. The only other person that I think truly is a rival to Nobuna is Takeda Shingen, but she was introduce in vol 5.
