So far, three levels down. And it appears we shall never know the answer to that question, for I went ahead and did some grinding before even starting on the first one.

I also unlocked and went through Mt. Ordeal, so as to get to the supreme ultimate end-all grind-map of ultimate awesomeness... Sweet merciful mother of Christ Ordeal 3 was frustrating. I mean, it was bad enough in the previous game where it basically just came down to spending a ludicrous amount of turns walking up an ungodly tall tower and hoping that by the time you reached the top you'd still have two humanoid characters left, (since one needed two characters capable of throwing in order to clear the stage) but this one was just cruel. I ultimately did manage to beat it, but by god was it a close call. And after that, I can now also unlock the Evil Symbol that will allow me to dual-wield Magichange-weapons... Just a shame it seems the Senate absolutely despises that thought since the approval rate for it is a mere 1%... And my attempts at forcing the bill have so far been unsuccessful.

Due to being at college for the past few years, I haven't even had a chance to play 3 yet. As such I think what I'm going to do is get it on Vita when it comes out (is it a launch title now? How awesome is that), and then just wait for 4 to eventually come out on vita as well.

One of the thing that I hate about D4 is that its release date was when college had started I mean, it's impossible to play this game when there are many assignment in college, right? ._.

Haven't reached there yet...can you describe what kind of stage was it? Was it something like D3 like you said or was it something else?

..I think I need to prepare a couple of high-level characters to beat that

In summary...
Freaking huge stage where practically the entire field is covered in "Silence" Geo-Panels, except for this enormous snake-statue thingy on the side covered in "Ally Move Damage"-panels. Said "Silence"-Geo Block is in a place where it's very hard to reach and considering how you can't use special-skills, it's also really hard to destroy since it has tons of hit points. Also, there are like 30 enemies on the stage, most of which can either paralyze, inflict amnesia or put their opponents to sleep with their regular attacks. Furthermore, on top of that enormous snake-statue thingy there is one single high-leveled dragon.

Incidentally, the strategy I ended up using was...
Spoiler for This::

...I feel like none of that truly conveyed how annoying this stage was.

Unless I'm mistaken none of the digaeas currently have full on multiplayer right? Like so you could play on the internet? That is the day I am waiting for. The day when I say goodbye to the rest of my life.

All that would end up happening is that the server would be swamped with hacked enemies who kill you in one hit. The game is designed to be imbalanced; which is fine for single-player. But going multiplayer would take all the fun out of it as then there would had to be far more nerfing.

Also, the PSP- and DS-versions of Disgaea 1 apparently had multiplayer... It didn't go very well. The battles basically just boiled down to "The one who gets to go first wins," or so I heard.

Mostly because Disgaea as a franchise love to tack on damage bonuses, but on the other hand give you horrible means of increasing defence. Leading to the point where maxing your defensive ability in every way still gets you killed in one hit. Doing damage to the millions is the norm.

I thought we can use pirating (item world) for online mode? Anyone have tried that?

So, the more and more I hear about this, the more and more I want it. I wonder if NISA misjudged how popular this game would be around here? Went to several different stores today and not one of them had a copy or even knew when they'd be receiving more.

I'll just wait around for it

Yes, I had to order my copy online. And said store only had 5 or so units.

Underrated.

hmm grinding for LOC is ugh in this game... admittedly D1-3 were just as tedious.

on the other note all my characters have rank 1 makai wars at level 300 +5 move and +10 jump so i'm doing damage in the upper millions now with everyone even newly created characters and they can run accross the map >.<; yah for easy duping.

Still need to go through the rank 40 weapons to hit the billions mark though.

What's the easy duping method everyone talks about? Can someone tells me how to do it?

To do it, you need a full inventory and warehouse. Then, go into the item world / reverse pirate the item you want to duplicate and break open a chest or something to fill up the extra spot that was made when you went into the item. Then, clear the 10th floor and choose to leave the item world (if you went through the item world; do not gency out) or just finish with the pirating and the item should appear in a Rosen Queen store to buy back.

At that point, go to the item in the store and make sure you choose "try on" (done by pressing square) and buy it that way. If you don't, it won't work! If you did this correctly, the item should be in the store every time you enter it. Just make sure to buy via "try on" every time and make sure to duplicate as much as much as you need to before reloading because if you reload, the item will be gone from the shop.

As a side-note, if you're duping a weapon, you could also equip it on a human character and then reincarnate into a monster-type or vice versa, so that said weapon won't be compatible with them any more. This will also send their weapon to the store if you don't have any room for it. I've used this method several times, not to dupe some perfect weapon, (I'm nowhere near the point where I'm ready to try Item-Perfecting... I haven't even accessed the X-Dimension yet) but to stock up on Specialists, mainly Statisticians.

So..let me get this straight. This rosenqueen item duping method make you no need to repeat the process several times like going to chara world?

Yep! The only time you'd need to actually repeat the process is if you reload your save or if you didn't do it correctly. Of course, this is just until they decide to patch it.

Doubt it, since 1.10 JP Version isnt patched.

I think the duping has the sole purporse of speeding up your game, since you know, people are way too busy nowadays. Besides, duping wont automatically mean that the game will be easy mode since there are very hard challenges.

When did that patch come out? Was it around the same time as the US one? If so, the glitch was only discovered the day before, I think. At least, the people with the US version discovered it then. I dunno if it was known about before in the Japanese community. Although, I can see them leaving it in too, seeing as how duping in the normal way is really time consuming in this game.
