For whatever reason, the CRC for ep 9 on the torrent is different than the CRC in the filename for Ep 9. It still works (should anyway) but I thought I'd let anyone that is reading this thread know. I don't think I've ever had BT do that to me though.

reading over random curiosity's summary pointed out an interesting trend in the anime. its a constant cycle of capture and escaping for toa, jin, g10. lol maybe there should be a poll on next time they escape.

Well, actually Kazuki/Gio works really well. The entire Resonance seems to be opposites in the pairings we've seen so far. Kazuki and Gio are like night and day or whiny loser and badass!

Dragons fighting in space... now THAT is what this show is meant to be about! =D

Was that new music during the fight scene? It was awesome.

I loved the scenes Jin was remembering/imagining from the shuttle crash....very nicely done, especially the silhouette...

I really am hoping that this will be the episode that turns this series around, rather than an anomalous good ep in an otherwise lousy show.... (All right, the first episode was good, too.) I have high hopes for Episode 10, it looks like it shouldbe most interesting. Is that Toa in a bubble, or another dragon? Hmm....

Good on Jin, and Gio. Does Gio need Jin in the cockpit to access his powers? If not then good chap as I think another bloke would have used that chance to show what a sniverling coward Jin could have been. Instead he took the time out to get Jin back on his feet. Now that was the right amount of angsting, just enough to make me feel sorry for the person, not sorry to be watching the show

I really liked how Gio and Jin saved the shuttle, it brought back memories of Xenosaga for obvious reasons. They could have snatched the pod out of the shuttle, but I guess they could be trying to not go against Toa's wishes.

Personally I say forget Toa and Jin, it looks like too much hard work, instead JinXGio ending

Hah Jin x Gio is more interesting to me..... I think it was nice Jin actually seemed to care about Gio, even after he agreed to give him up to the ISDA.

Good episode. Not great action, but still pretty nice. I'm kind of surprised Liner actually didn't do what I thought he was he was doing. It was played up since he's been introduced that he could possibly be working both sides, and have a more sinister personality then the rest. To me all signs pointed to him giving away the information for nefarious purposes. I'm kind of glad (for now) it's not entirely true.

Jin got over his issues quickly, which was good. Yeah, realistically someone would not forgive that easily, but I'd rather all this be over with quickly and start getting back into the real story. Toa being sorry and Jin being upset would just be boring. Being captured again didn't actually bother me much. I chalk it up to they didn't want to be separated from Toa and I imagine soon they will start working together. Though doing what I don' t know.

I had to LOL @ Kazuki once again. He just got his dumb ass saved by Jin and he whines about it. He's so ridiculous.

Overall, I'm still enjoying the show. I don't have many complaints. It's lots of fun.

Sounds like the basis for a drinking game! Every time one of them escapes or is captured... KAMPAI!

But then the Flight deck crew and anyone else on board would have died. I can't see Jin doing that given a choice. It's not unlikely Jin actually knows some or all of the flight crew as collegues of his father.

Though it does point out that Kazuki was being useless. I was expecting Liner to have him and either Gio or Widow get involved after the JA decoyed him off. As it was he appears perfectly willing to burn up on reentry.

Obviously even with Sakaki backing him up Liner doesn't think he's useful enough to keep informed.

I'm not sure Jin's over his issues with the shuttle crash so much as being willing to forgive Toa. I'd think that it still going to cause friction until there is more of an explaination as to what happend.

As for Kazuki. It is like he realised that he could have been a hero this week but didn't think of it until afterwards. It would have been easier for him and Widow to find an Airlock and EVA than for Gio to break both him and Jin free, snap Jin out of depression and EVA.

In regard to Jin's reaction over Toa's big secret...

Thank goodness for a person who can act a little mature and not need to loose something valuable to him in the present over something lost in the past.

Too many times have I beaten my head on my KB when the hero finds out some news about his new lover and then goes on an angst attack when she gets kidnapped or killed or whatever. End of the day him hating Toa will not bring his family back. I think Gio, the bracelet and some of the Right Stuff (TM) in his character allowed him to realise that, without the usual 10+ episodes of angsting and drama (and me pulling out my hair).

i dont think so...by now i think jin has managed to look at what is best for the situation. her sister is dead and no matter how emo he becomes that fact isnt going to change...whilst now toa is living and breathing, im sure after this ep he will doubt her less (until the next bombshell ^^)

What a crazy episodes...I liked it even though it had some incredible plotholes. Why the hell didn't Kazuki and Widow take part in the battle and stayed in the shuttle as it seemed to be plunging to their death? Why the hell didn't Jin and Gio escape once again in the end and why did Gio need Jin anyway, in the first episodes he did very well without anyone "riding" him? Who the hell are these Gillard Army fellows? Their dragons look like some cyborg Aliens. And the new Dragonaut chick appearing out of nowhere to save the day was pretty silly. OK, now I see that's a lot of complaining for an epsiode I liked but what can a man do.

It was nice to see Liner making a fool out of Garnet, even though later he himself fell for the totally obvious diversion like an even bigger fool. And it's about bloody time we hear some explanation from Toa what her agenda is, it seems this will happen in the next episode.

The battle was pretty nice, as was the initial capture of Gio and Jin in the beginning of the episode, this sure took me by surprise.

That said i was a bit disapointed with how quickly Jin got over Toa wiping out his family, i mean it's a huge thing and he practically just shrugs it off. I wasnt expecting long drawn out drama, but i was hoping for some tension and stuff.

The conveniently timed flashback sure helped Jin achieve that. But surely this issue can't be over, right? Toa will have to come up with some explanation for crashing into the shuttle in the first place. Though, considering he saw her naked in the flashback...maybe he is ready to forgive her just about everything.

Screw the Resonance, at least the above pairs have some real development. Yea Toa saved Jin some years ago, she kissed him, embraced him, goes around , flies around, but aside from the first one-liner "you are not alone" there's basically nil development between the two.

For Kazuki, I think he's already far beyond the emo state, he's more like the psycho villain now

But that's just not right IMO. Accident or not, the amount of despair they showed Jin in in the first episode can't possibly be just forgotten in few moments. the whole "what do you mean?" shit doesn't work either with a dump expression on the face.

When you say that losing something valuable in the present over something in the past isn't right, you are assuming that this valuable thing is still valuable in the present. An event where you discover that the reason behind the tragedy of losing your "WHOLE" family is the person you love could absolutely turn your love into pure hate and detest. You may say it's an accident but can you comprehend that so easily and quickly?

I think they should have made that anger span for few episodes (not 10, mind you ) since Toa is in captivity but wait! how can this work without Jin & Gio saving the day? and why didn't Gio just go and save Toa by himself and leave Jin behind since he has just chosen to abandon him recently? I mean he will still be saved if he stays in the shuttle which has Toa in.

And Widow? no wait, she shouldn't actualize while a battle is going on which could cost her life. Better stay next to her emo kid so he doesn't freak out (more).

Personally, I didn't like this episode. This whole thing of "forgetting too early because it's you who have to save the day or else" is just not right. The only thing I liked was the fact that Garnet was tricked.

With all this said, I still find myself waiting for the next episode!

Other than Gio the Earth born dragons tend not to be proactive. It seemed she was watching and waiting for Kazuki to come up with a plan. She can always wait to actualize until the shuttle starts to break up. Gio's shown us Dragons can survive vacuum in communicator mode.

Other than Spiritus eating people and Widow offering to become Kazuki's wings I don't remember major decisons from them. They tend to trail around behind thier riders waiting for instructions. Gentle teasing is about all they manage. To be honest they are all a bit doormat.
