Frankly, it does matter how self-absorbed someone is to the rest of us. Frankly, Basara was like one of those gar manga heroes we've seen too much of (for every Basara, there are another 100 self-absorbing jerks), and frankly, that is boring.

As for his 'singing' hoping to achieve universe peace, well, for over 40+ episodes, that didn't work very well, did it? Never mind that whenever the so-called 'sound force' went out for a fight, an entire fleet had to accompany them on the journey for no other reason than to provide fire-support. Kind of contradicting with Basara's original intent, doesn't it?

Anyway, there is no need to beat around a dead horse. As indicated by myself and several posters here already, we are utterly unconvinced by your arguments regarding the 'greatness' that is Basara. You can like whoever the heck you want, but we don't agree. Sorry for the reality slap, but in your case, I hope it hurts more, enough so you can be brought into accepting that very fact.
