Probably, depending on which canon you follow.
You know, it must be long since the last time I watched Saint Seiya because I didn't remember so much bling, they're a lot more colorful in my memories.

Or, the technology of that era was less good as nowday. And I plan that for the Magic World. Now, to modify them to suit the girls!

Funny! I just have got their craziest way to boost Ichika's determination: Making a professy about his and Madoka's child will be the Habringer, and then forced him to make between two choice: Killing the child, and thefore end Madoka's life. Or, giving up to Fate. And yet he still found the third option: Wiping out the Dark Tribal as soon as possible, in hope of creating a happy future for his child.
But again, that made him became more of an extremist, until someone slapped into his face and lecture him. Plus that the fact his Harem are also pregnant with him. With each of the girl who Ichika could choose, a certain Fate would be written for their child. But since he has made his own bridgate, so... |

Arc reactor is magic fusion, I.S. core... never explained, but they're more than simple power source, they're also CPU and all sort of hilarity (such as inertia canceller system)

Though at this point in time it's just evolving separately. I guess the main similarity is that it involves a dealer distributing illegal homebrew IS and cores, that the IS is depicted to be alive like an S2 engine, and is plucked from an fold in space artificially created by a mystery entity where Tabane is harvesting cores from ELS-like creatures for her own purposes. Those watching Valvrave will recognize other elements I chucked in there with regards to the world order and how the hell that fold in space came to be. No Karon and idols, original characters fooling around in a IS spinoff. Everything else is being chewed and ruminated over slowly.

The perfected Arc Reactor is just puts out an enormous amount of power but eventually, the element used in the fusion process will run out (its fusion - it just works like that) [FYI - Fusion joins together; Fission breaks apart]. Movie-wise, the first element used in the fusion process was poisonous to humans (Stark) so it was replaced with the 'new element' that he 'created' in the lab. The new element is called Vibranium in the novelization of the film.
Hooray for useless knowledge~ Out of the smartest guys in the comics: Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Dr. Doom, Lex Luthor, I think only Reed Richards and Dr. Doom would be able to follow Tabane without taking too long of a break in between her crash courses. Of course, Lex and Doom would just opt to steal the cores from her and kill her... Thinking about it, Tony would probably give up the Arc Reactor for an IS core to power/run his suits (at least until he could make the two work together and have the power of the Arc Reactor plus all the benefits of the IS Cores processing power and perks as well. He'd be unstoppable to anyone but elite IS pilots.

Indeed, normally fusion reactor can be supplied with constant fuel injection such as hydrogen or it's isotopes not unlike normal engines. Arc reactor use liquid metal core (so yes, FUCKING MINIATURE SUN) and will completely solidify much later, but their power output is massive compared to normal fusion.

Let see... I always consider IS to be a bit stronger than Kamen Rider (except the top notch one), and Kamen Rider better than Iron Man. So IS would beat Iron Man.
And what take Stark years to develop, IS just need less than a decade to change the reality. |

Actually IS needed only WK and one week to change reality...
... and now, I've hit my weekend slump. No writing from me until at least Sunday. :3 That and don't know if I should split my [Weekend] story between individual days or try to lump both days together in the same chapter...

-Awaken-
Her amber colored eyes fluttered open as the verbal command reverberated throughout her consciousness. The very first thing she realized was that...she was naked. The small gust of cool air against her bare skin was proof positive of that. She stood still, letting her eyes get adjusted to the dim light of the chamber. "How do you feel, Arkana?" The woman looked up sharply to her left, her hair falling in front of her eyes as she spied two figures partially hidden in the darkness, regarding her with a detached sort of air. The male of the duo coughed slightly and averted his eyes from her state of undress. The female that accompanied him was not amused by his show of 'decency'. "Please get over yourself, Commander," she said sternly, lightly knocking the young man on the back of his head. "For someone who scored the highest in the last ten graduating classes, your show of modesty is a bit old-fashioned." "I can't help it; she looks an awful lot like you," the young man replied, earning a much harder whack this time. "Yes, well, apparently I'm that popular," the woman crossed her arms and just like that, the newly awakened Arkana found the detached atmosphere that she was loathing just ... disappear. "C'mon, what are you doing. This is your new Commader, Shiro." "...Shiro... That's my name," she looked at the woman hard. "...you should only remember me vaguely Shiro," the woman spoke with a warmth that she had long forgotten but somewhere deep within, she knew this woman...intimately. "You were injured gravely and you only got healed up enough to be activated again." "...the Lowlands by the Glacier...the ambush..." "Oi, Commander, go greet your new Arkana already," she slapped the young man on the back with much more force than necessary. "...ow," he complained, rubbing his back as he walked down the three steps to stand in front of the cryo-genic chamber that 'Shiro' had just emerged from. "My name is Orimura - Ichika Orimura." With a quick motion, he pulled off his jacket and covered the woman's shoulders, which she ignored in favor of looking intently at his face. "Your name is...?" He glanced back at the woman, who made a show of sighing. "My brother, the idiot," she muttered to no one in particular and suddenly Shiro had a faint feeling that she also knew this boy as well from long ago...when he was younger... and had a far more innocent expression on his face... "She's yours now - she's not mine. You have to name her here and now." The young man looked back at the woman who had not moved from when he placed the jacket around her, also studying her features as well. "...I think... Setsura would be a good name." The uniformed woman behind him crossed her arms with a slight smile. "Yes, it is." "And in honor of your past service, your code name shall be...Byakkushiki." "...Byakkushiki," the woman tested the name on her lips. "Setsura...Byakkushiki." ~*~

Here Stratos, something to ease the headache:
*hands him a porn magazine* ERABE. Also, the latest sequel has me shaking in disbelief. So many things wrong with it, now extending to how the IS operates themselves!! Looks like I need to commence intervention with Vandam, or else I will never have peace!! D:
