Dike Gunhale: Male. Age 14. Flit and Emily’s classmate. He respects as well as envy’s Flit for going in and out of the military (moving in the military?) and has a (sense of) rivalry towards him.

Vargas Dyson: Male. Age 55. Emily’s grandfather. Although he’s a technical officer of the maintenance division at Arinston base and Flit’s superior, he’s charmed by Flit’s personality and abilities and associates with him like a friend despite the difference in age.

Lurgan Drace: Male. Age 28. Lieutenant JG in the Earth Federation Forces. Commander of the Arinston base maintenance squad Lurgan Team. Mobile suit pilot.

Wolf Eniacl: Male. Age 23. Lieutenant JG in the Earth Federation Forces. An ace pilot with another name in the army of “White Wolf”, he possesses animal-like, gifted and unmatched mobile suit piloting techniques.

GENOACE [RGE-B790CW]: A customized Genoace piloted by the “White Wolf”, Wolf Eniacl.

Those names are awesome, Wolf Eniaci has a really cool design as well.

I have to say, I'm liking the design for the Genoace already. Ebikawa really was the right man for the job.

So Wolf is an adult look-alike of Loran Cehack who pilots a mass produced Gundam Unicorn? Awesomeness.

Strangely enough, all the Earth Federation's character designs are quite appealing.

Not strange at all... They're Michinori Chiba's final designs, so basically Gundam 00 characters minus the shoujo-ness and plus a layer of 70's style camp...

That will depend if the Gafran are piloted by someone, IMO. If they aren't piloted by anyone. I'm thinking a masked villain isn't going to happen.

The masked guy isn't always the villain. Schwartz and Harry come to mind.

The initial designs are by Takuzo Nagano who worked on the Layton series, this is why they lack the Shoujo design that Chiba is well known for.

Have we confirmed that he designed the Genoace? It might be some of the other designers.

Most likely one will appear in time. It did not appear from the start in 00 either.

Would be awesome/interesting if one of the main characters become the masked guy, during one of their decendent's time period.

Chiba isn't well known for shoujo designs I think... Gundam 00 has Yun Kouga as the original designer and that's why they look shoujo.

My point though was that the final designs were done in Chiba's style. Nagano's art style is actually much different from those and even more "eccentric" as seen in Layton and Inazuma eleven.

You're right I was confusing Chiba with Kouga.

In terms of Character designs it kind of depends on how much influence the character designer actually has on the characters. For example Code Geass character designs seem to have as much influence from Takahiro Kimura as it does with Clamp, unlike FMA Brotherhood where the intention was to keep it as close to Hiromu Arakawa's original character designs as possible.

That's fine as long as he doesn't start wearing a goofy samurai outfit and starts claiming that his a one man army.
