Yeah it was pretty short. I read through that volume quicker a lot quicker than I expected to.

I take it that fruit Yatora fetched from Seishukudera will be playing an important role in the future.

I also wonder what Seimei meant by making amends. I'm also confused about whatever Natsume heard about there no longer being any incense.
I remember the ritual she did with incenses in volume 11 symbolised the soul. So, perhaps it's an indication she's running out of time?

Anyhow, it's funny because Ohtomo was right. The kids should have done nothing. Had they done nothing, things wouldn't have gone so wrong.

That's the important question, but then again, let's not forget that 'what a soul is' is not really defined in this series, in fact the general Onmyou doesn't actually recognize the existence of souls simply because they don't know what is a soul and how it works, sure, there are plenty of rituals of souls, but not an actual 'scientific' explanation of what it is. It's been that way ever since the first volume.

Yes, indeed 'half' of her is currently being anchored by Hokuto, because when Harutora went to sacrifice half of his lifetime to bring her back, it didn't work.
The Taizan Fukun Ritual was a failure.
Lacking explanations of why it was so and other solutions... and here is what I think happened: he took the wandering soul of Natsume that was still in the world and 'forced' it back into her body, chaining it with Hokuto's power (remember what Yashamaru said back when he talked the first time with Harutora?: Natsume died without preparations, so to bring her back the time limit was of only one night. Miyachi also said that Kyoko and the others could only see Natsume's corpse in the morning, with the excuse - even if it was also the truth - that Natsume could become a spiritual disaster. It was all to keep her away in the case that Harutora agreed with Yashamaru and the price was for them to resurect Natsume - they couldn't have any witness that the Agency was breaking its own rules). So instead of being properly alive, Hokuto is the 'generator' that allows Natsume to function/move/speak/live. But this is only a temporary solution, it only delays Natsume's death, so it serves as a hiatus for Harutora to fix the problem.

Now I'm also assuming, because Natsume has another soul that wasn't in the world - a part of her that (maybe) moved on or something else completely diferent - Taikan Fukun couldn't bring her back, since she wasn't 'complete'.
And since she still isn't complete, its only a matter of time before her connection with Hokuto breaks and Natsume dies/rots/become unable to be resurected again (Harutora was particulary anxious in volume 13, because Natsume's times is really ending, and no amount of 'cheating' will save her this time, Harutora has to fix the problem for real or he loses her. There's also the theory of yin and yan that he didn't want to disturb that can be a 'possible' solution, but since he only wanted to used it as a last resort, the 'resurection' via this may be worse than death itself).
Hence why Haruto is so agitated, not only he can't figure a way to 'complete' Natsume, but because of the currect situation with the god calling of Takiko, the spiritual situation of Tokyo will also destroy the currect 'distorced/incomplete' Natsume, shorthening the already small window of time he has to act. That was what I took from the last 2 volumes.

Oh, and I'm not sure the voice that Natsume hears is the 'other her', I was with the impression (because it wasn't yet directly revealed) that Hokuto the one speaking and grounding Natsume to her body when her soul 'merges' with the world and loses her self consciousness. But I can be wrong.

Confused is a nice word to recent events. Don't know yet what the fruit is going to be used for(wasn't revealed), although Harutora said that was extremely hard to make it bloom, so Sen did a awesome job.

I take the incense part

was something that actually helped a lot to keep Natsume grounded to her body, so without incense, she may experience those out of body experiences more often, and Hokuto may not bound her again if this keep going on for long.

About Seimei, we better wait for the next volume, because his words were so vague it could mean anything: Harutora making amends with Natsume, or with Souma; or maybe the one who has to make amends is Natsume herself. Its a huge pool of theories we got here, and the man didn't speak that much. Leave it to a thousand year old figure to mess things even more

I also though Kogure was amazing, pity he got captured. I wanted to see him defy the Agency and fight against them more.

The bad part of being a fan of Novels, they take a long time to come out, still its better than some book collections I'm following, they only release 1 book per year.
So if we get lucky we might get a glimpse of the cover and a couple of spoilers before christmas, I'm just crossing my fingers that the chinese translation is put up fast after the release. Lygo is a genius, but without chinese trans, we are left to dry.

Well now, I just finished vol 12 and despite the really REALLY abrupt end it was a great read.

I am definitely happy that I decided to wait until this vol 13 were fully (well at least closet it) translated before I started. Definitely made up for all those months of not getting anything. This probably the fastest I've seen Lygo translated something and it being incomplete is probably part of that.

I'm still grateful for all the hard work, but I hope the other missing parts will be added soon.

There was quite few things that happened that I didn't expect chief of those being that the Full Moon being Akino (what the hell Sen...) and as well as Temna essentially being disowned by his grandparents both for protect and so that he couldn't be held back. Guess like everyone else they going crash with Touji and Amami. That's one crowded basement coming up.

Anyway gonna dive into vol 13 pretty soon.

Sales have been really constant and hasn't dropped since the anime aired year and half ago. Which really going for the reception and longevity of the series. If things remain like this another adaption isn't unlikely.

I read some comment from KissAnime on the Tokyo Ravens(dub) page that season 2 is official and that "they have officially taken the thought of making a season 2 and it is coming out end of 2015 or beginning of 2016" and apparently the source was from "3 different websites all from some of the crew. ".

I hope what that commentator said is true.
