Some questions for the helpful people here:
- in the last hand, Yumi will be East, yes?
- in a hand where no one calls anything, who gets to draw the last tile?
- extra tiles after a kong are drawn from the dead wall, which is different from the normal wall. So, to my understanding, a declaration of concealed kong shouldn't affect whoever draws the last tile at all. I'm asking because Four Winds reduces the amount of tiles remaining by 1 the moment you meld a kong, which would mean that it either draws a tile from the regular wall or disables a single tile for some other reason. Is this just an imperfection in the program or does a kong (concealed or not) really decrease the number of tiles left by 1?

1. Yes.
2. south, I think... (14 tiles in the dead wall, so...)
3. When any replacement tile is drawn from the dead wall, the current "bottom of the sea" tile in the live wall is moved to the dead wall to "replenish" the dead wall. The dead wall always has 14 tiles in it. So in any game of mahjong, the 70th draw will be the final draw. (136-13*4-14=70) (where you include replacement tiles as "draws")

Well, finally. The end is today. Koromo and Kana get a little pumped, however Saki keeps taking it easy.
Everyone remembers a little to not give up and what they are fighting for. Saki builds her winner hand, missing a tile.
Koromo is afraid, however Saki tells her that playing mahjong can and it's fun. Finally Koromo gives the tile Saki needs a she gets Yakuman'd by 32k points, thus Kiyosumi wins.
Every member gets cheered up by their own team, the last part of the episode everyone is coming back in the train sleeping.

It may only be episode 19, but it did have all the markings of a finale. Obviously the show's not over yet, but after all the hands on fire and Geass powers and girl love these past few weeks, having some episodes to unwind and just enjoy the colorful cast of characters is a-okay with me.

Such a fun show.

Ep 20 - End of team tournament, Kiyosumi in the pool.

Ep 21 - Individual tournament starts. New characters who didn't participate in the team tournament will make their appearances. Kiyosumi in high spirits.

Ep 22 - Second day of individual tournament. Mihoko, Yumi and others who shined in the team tournament slowly won their way up. A mysterious character from an unknown new high school appears.

Ep 23 - Hisa wasn't really concerned with the individual tournament, but because of someone she's facing, she decides to be serious about it.
