The episode has apparently leaked out of TV Tokyo ahead of episode 168 which doesn't air for another 8+ hours or so. I'm watching right now. Screens in the following:

Naruto overpowering Nagato with the Kyuubi chakra was done better here. Having the Kyuubi rear up like that really made it stand out.

Finished watching it. The episode relies heavily on flashback from all over the series. There are few scenes that I didn't recognize which I suspect we will see in episode 168 in few hours. It still weighs heavily because of how well the somber atmosphere is captured. You really had to feel for everyone in there including Nagato.

The episode ends when Nagato is about to start telling his story of the past and what transpired to change his overall perspective: the need for imminent change regardless of the cost and how it is brought upon.

Here in the following is a highlight of things in chronological order:

- Naruto defeats the last Pain with a rasengan.

- HINATA IS ALIVE. Sakura-chan was able to heal her.

- Naruto acquires the location of Pain by infusing his nature's-chakra with Nagato's from one of the metal rod inside of the last pain. Naruto decides to go by himself.

- Naruto is intercepted by Shikamaru's and Ino's dad. When Naruto stated he was going there by himself because he needed to talk to Nagato, Ino's dad went off.

- Naruto locates Nagato's hide out. Nagato shoots one of those rods which pierces Naruto's abdomen so he can control Naruto with his (Nagato) chakra. Naruto projects back his own chakra from Kiyubi and the mixture of Nature-energy into Nagato. This is pretty much the best portion of this episode to highlight the high strung emotion that rules the content.

- Naruto engages pain in a conversation after he restrain himself to punch his light out. Naruto pretty much tell Pain, "Why did you become like this? You were the disciple of Ero Sennin. I understand you guys are unlike the other Akatsuki members who are more in it for the fun. And yet, I don't know anything about you guys. So I've come here to talk to you, know about your circumstances and give my answer to your question accordingly." *Rough translation. Don't hold me to it.*

- Nagato is about to venture into the story of the past. The episode ends.

Gave into the temptation. I also think I didn't miss out on much considering the previous episode most likely stay on at finishing up the fight while trying to poke into each other's, Naruto-Nagato, philosophical differences. Naruto's inspiration is, of course, going to be Yondaime though his presence there adds more to his legend. I suppose he envisioned something similar to take place, so he left an avatar of himself as the final fail-safe switch to prevent Kiyubi to tempt his host from breaking the seal.

The one thing about Naruto series I like is that I can follow the story. Kishimoto doesn't try to do too much and prefers to keep things as simple as possible. As a result his story tends to resonate with the fans more than average. The stark contrast would be Kubo Tite.

Wrong section to indulge into such topic, so a brief one-time off-topic post: We can't say his story is elaborated because we are still struggling to figure out where exactly he is going at. In fact, KT is all over the place with his story where the focus of grand-scheme-of-things outweighs his ability to tell a consistent story. He pretty much exposes his own weakness as a story teller as a result. I'm afraid Kubo's ambition surpasses his own ability as a story teller. The producers aren't helping either to milk the franchise, so I'm sure Kubo is given plenty of monetary incentive to persist with Bleach.

lol... glad you like it, but the credit goes to the Media Player Classic which took the screenshots for me automatically at a specific interval. Tsunade-sama's boobs were lucky enough to be in those intervals of snapshots.

Well, its no more illegal than usual , and the fact that we get the manga a week in advance means there is precedent for illegally viewing these materials well in advance. But, it feels wrong, like I'm cheating or something (especially since 169 came out before 168). Sorry, I can't give you a more legitimate (logical) answer than that...

Gotcha. My thing is that I don't want to bring our site under any ill-informed scrutiny. I like this place too much for that. I'll raise this topic with the other moderators to see if we are missing anything, and/or if there is any need to take any precautionary measures without overreacting.
