I very much agree. Must find out the artist of this manga, because their portrayal of Sheryl is spot on.

From images and texts such:

Sheryl's manga is subtitled Kiss in the Galaxy. This manga will revolve around Sheryl's past.

Notable things:

- Sheryl's father and mother are called Abel and Sally.
- Sheryl sang Aimo.
- In whatever-Minmei-related audition (probably like Ranka's in the anime. Or whatever), she sang Ai, Oboete Imasu ka.

I have nonexistent to negative understanding on Chinese so I only read the Japanese texts 8D;; Minmei's audition is probably like Ms Utahime/Ms. Minmei's audition or sth, I care less on the name of the audition >_O

Sally? Now where have I heard that name in the Macross franchise? Well, I guess it can't be the bridge bunny of Battle 7. Sheryl would've been born by 2042, while the events of Macross 7 hapened by 2045-2046. Would it mean Sally had the hots for Captain Max Jenius while already married?

Well it's already stablished that Sheryl is the granddaughter of Mao Nome (from Macross Zero), so Sally must be the name of Mao's daughter.

My question is if this manga will follow storyline from the movie or the series because

In the series Sheryl doesn't know anything about her parents but in the movie i think she knows and about Mao being her Grandmother too.

But it will be interesting, maybe we will know more about Sheryl's first boyfriend that has been mentioned sometimes.

Sally clearly must be the dominant person in the marriage if they're using the name 'Nome' and not 'Kour' 8D. Or maybe they weren't married when they had Sheryl, who knows? Dammit! I want to know what Sheryl's dad looks like. D'8< He surely must be a bishie!

Steshin from LiveJournal shared the news and now we have a translation for the last chinese part (credits to lavender88)

A manga with Sheryl as the main character, it's official title being 「Sheryl～Kiss in the Galaxy～」. There'll be 60 pages for the first chapter, then increased to 80 in the next.

Sheryl's family members are all beautiful people, like models.
Her mother is called Sally Nome, and her father, Abel Kour (tentative romanization).
There'll be an original character named Lilith who resembles Alto-hime. Therefore, it is said that she is the female version of Alto.
A lot of the readers from Area 11 thinks that this female version of Alto has a personality like Sheryl, and is very conspicuous in the manga. Although she died at a young age, she was very manly. Instead, the Sheryl back then was a shy, cute person with a personality which reminds one of Ranka's, but not to the point where she only thinks of herself.
The two of them (Sheryl & Lilith) went to see a kabuki performance starring Yasabura. In reality, Lilith's family views the Saotome family as enemiesm so there are all sorts of......( Some say that Alto & Lilith's mothers were sisters, some say that Lilith's father used to be in love with Alto's mother..but anyway, there is no love lost between the two families)

Sheryl gave the earring to Lilith, and through that earring, she can feel Lilith's emotions/thoughts and finds out that Lilith is in love with a senpai
To protect Sheryl, The femaly version of Alto - Lilith died in a fire. In the last scene, Sheryl's expression was one like the one we see now.

Although the drama CD and novels clearly said that Sheryl's parents were assassinated for opposing the impant, at that time the Boat G-Group's impantation technology was at its initial stage of development. But in the manga, it was said that the assassination attempt was directed at Sheryl.

The Sheryl who was drifting in the streets seemed to be violated by a bald man (it is suspected that after her parents were murdered, Sheryl was left to wander on the streets).
Sheryl never went to music school or school.

The supervisorr of the Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~ film made it clear that Alto experienced the power of the gemstone to convery thoughts earlier than Sheryl did
But Sheryl received thoughts from Lilith and was able to respond

But a big "WTF?" to many of the things in the translation above. Namely:

I told you guys that if there is some sort of flashback to Sheryls past, it'd feature Alto or his family. Well, I thought it'd be in the second movie, though. ^^

Why the hell would the assassination attempt be directed at Sheryl? Graces first clumsy try to get revenge, before she came up with a better plan?

Sheryl violated as a child? Ugh. Just... ugh. Totally unnecessary.

How exactly was Alto able to get "feelings through the gemstone" before Sheryl? And what is that with Sheryl sensing Lilith?

Before I get sued, I must revise one of my comments here-Kiss in The Galaxy might not only revolve around Sheryl's past only (but chapter 0 does revolve around that as we can see), but Sheryl as a whole, based on Itsuwari no Utahime movie to be precise. The quote that I was referring Kiss in The Galaxy story might be for only one chapter and I didn't realize that possibility XD;; So we might see some scenes that is in the movie from her POV.

And yes, being based from Itsuwari no Utahime nulls any view from original anime (at least contradicting ones) (Must. Pimp. This. To. Manga. Thread. Seriously D: )
