And they got a surprise in the end? Like you said he might be revived by the gods. And C.C realize that Geass has blessings once you do great things with it.. that is why she said that line "Geass will bring you solitude.. I guess that's a little wrong.. Na Lelouch?"

Cmon if Sunrise really wants to make Lelouch 100% at his grave. They could've showed Nunnally at his grave. And they wouldn't have to make the cart driver covered up. They could have just showed an old man.

You will continue to think he's dead. But it's open.. and anything can be looked upon for now it's 50/50 in my book. Sunrise purposely left it at that so we can speculate and think. I personally find all these theories interesting. I have been comparing the dead/alive theories whole day lol.

I don't know how long this will take until there is final confirmation about Lelouch's well being...
(But as long as people are enjoying themselves discussing about that I think it'll be OK.)
I'm not counting on numerology or subtelties (in chara.designs or lines) because I believe it's more a matter of marketing.
And seeing how fans are disappointed at such an ending, further explanation will come for sure.


Worst situation:
People are having fights on this issue, some of them getting banned,
Eagerly following any material of CG
purchasing Artbooks and DvDs for supplementary materials...
and after a good year and half we still get no outcome, and finally accept that he IS dead...

i sure as hell hope not.
I think it would ruin the whole open ending.
Because people would be all sad if Lelouch was dead.
I would be like wtf was the epic death scene for if he's alive.
People would lose out if we got confirmation.
I think the open ending lets the majority of people satisfied.

Most companies would not intentially kill their main character, they can leave it open to satisfy all the opposing views in the otaku community..

They can come up with any reason later on if they want to create another series or season in the future by leaving the possibility open.

I could imagine one possibility of Lelouch coming back because some new enemies or terrorist organization showed up and the world needs another savior. I'm sure they can bring Lelouch back to save the world and redeem his name again.

There's no hard evidence that suggest either Suzaku or Lelouch are both dead.

My understanding could be bad, but it sounds like the power of his geass grew up (double geass) and that now he was able to geass it.

Well since the World of C is a place were thought becomes reality it could happen. I don't see how making someone immortal would be any harder than killing someone who is immortal.

Maybe the World of C can forsee the future and decided that Lelouch needed to stay dead for a while before he could be brought back to life, in order to guarantee he had a future.

However on the other hand its like the saying goes "tomorrow never comes".
