Well after lurking moar since about page 300 I thought I'd attempt to contribute something to the thread.

I got lured here originally by Satashi waxing lyrical about the wonders of this forum and this thread on Fanfiction.net (there's another story regarding how I found out about Satashi's fanfics ) and decided to investigate and since then I've spent many a day at work trawling the thread in search of new shiny things.

I'm not going to attempt a review of the last 250 pages so you can breathe a sigh of relief.

I also bring my first fanfic attempt ever.

It's a bit dark and probably cliched so be aware.

It had happened again.

The one thing that still haunted her nightmares had been born to reality again.

They had been tasked with investigating ancient ruins on a distant planet that had shown signs of harbouring a lost logia. A standard mission, no different from the countless others they had worked together, and certainly no challenge for the Ace of Aces and herself.

It had happened too quickly.

She had been unable to react in time as the droid, which had seemed no different from the rest that they had mown down, had fired a barrier-breaking blast which had caught her companion off-guard. Magical Shields, Barrier Jackets and anything else in it's way had been ignored as the blast had continued it's unwavering course to it's destination of the wall on the other side of her close friend.

The lost logia-equipped droid had not stood a chance after that, it was dispatched instantly and emotionlessly as she raced towards the wounded, hoping that she would be in time.

This was the reality she was faced with now.

As she cradled Nanoha in her arms, she could only stare in horror at the scene before her.

No. This was just a dream, another nightmare like before.
No. This was impossible.
No. It had happened before, it would be OK just like before.
No. It wasn't like before....

Uncountable tears already covered the charred and bloody Barrier Jacket that lay before her, she could not remember how long she had cried for, too long it seemed.

A twitch.

She could only stare as Nanoha's eyes twitched open and watch on in hope as a small smile appeared on the face of the one she had admired for so long. "I'm sorry for scaring you like that, I guess I got careless again" Nanoha's voice came haltingly "This seems strangely familiar for some reason, it's like we've been here before." A cough racked the remains of Nanoha's chest as thick red liquid stained her lips. "I guess I'll have to let you take it from here, and I guess I've got more rehabilitation time ahead of me" she attempted to giggle but only managed another racking cough, staining her jacket further with red. "But first I think I'll take a short nap, it's been a long day...". She could only watch in horror as Nanoha's eyes closed once again.

"No!" she cried "You can't sleep now!" for she knew what the result would be if she let those eyes close again. She shook Nanoha, she had to keep her awake until help came. No response answered her efforts. "No! You have to wake up! We have to get you to safety!" but the body in her arms only response was to relax. "You can't die now! I never told you I loved you! Stupid!" Her final cry echoing through the ruins that day as she wept over the body of her lost loved one.

She could never tell if her eyes had been playing tricks on her that day, but she was sure a hint of a smile had reappeared on that serene face below her just before the end. To Vita, however, it would be a smile she would remember for the rest of her days.

If anyone wants to R&R it would be greatly appreciated, I don't think it's that good but it'd be nice to know what I can improve.

Man, that thing was Epic!

You should know that I'm the fan #1 of Vita, and by saing this, I mean that I'm very selective with fics based on her, and this short of yours is just a jewel

Yes, with pencil, I work shades, lights and bariaton of thones, but a single page of comic drawed with pencil takes me like 1 hour and 30 minutes, while one with pen (example, NROTU) just takes like 30 minutes, big diference, don't you think?

To resume, taking my times in school and work, plus when I add text on the computer, if I had worked the chapters of NROTU with pencil, at this time, I would be still working on chapter 9 lol

Two bright lights clashed in the distance sending vibrating sounds around the cold metal corridors. Two figures approached and crossed blades, before retreating in their defensive stances. Yellow met red. Red met yellow. The sound of swirling blades echoed through the void beneath them.

"It is useless to resist." The purple clad man spoke calmly. He was wearing large dark purple armour and his head was covered by a matching coloured mask.

His opponent didn't answer. Her concentration was at keeping her ground against the assaulter. One ill-matched move and she was on her rear, the red blade at her throat.

With much effort she brought her own yellow blade against the crimson threat and deflected it. Her whole body was weary, but she forced it to stand up and defend against her enemy.

The man effortlessly parried her every move and counter-attacked without any difficulty. A few steps later he had her pinned against the edge of the platform.

The woman tried deflecting the blow, but it was too late. The blood coloured blade passed through flesh and her right hand tumbled down into the abyss below. She let out a pained scream and almost collapsed.

"Join me. Our combined strength can end this conflict! We can bring order to the galaxy!" the man moved his hand towards his defenceless opponent in an offering motion.

"No." She spoke slowly, body stiff from pain. She was already standing at the farthest point of the platform, no place left to go to.

If he would not have had his head covered, one would say that the man had chuckled. "Fate... I am your father!"

She couldn't believe her ears. "No. No. That can't be!"

"Come with me. It is the only way!"

Fate stared for less than a second at the man in front of her, Jail Scaglietti... and then let go of the pillar she was holding herself to.

Keroko returned to that park and found that the gang of bullies, and quickly realized what a mistake
she had made; simply put, there was no way that she could possibly hope to fight these people and
hope to live. They were bigger, tougher, and meaner than her by a long shot. But that upswelling of
anger that she felt as she watched the Big Kids pick on the Little Kids began to push her. Her
impulses got the best of her, and she found herself marching toward them with all the anger a five
year old could muster and getting up in the Big Kids’ faces before her logic caught up.

“I told you once before!” She shouted at them, point-blank. “I will protect these kids! You will not hurt
them as long as I’m here!” She made an angry sound and balled her fists. “Get away from here!”

The kids laughed. “Oh, so the little girl is here to be the big bad defender, huh?” One of the kids
laughed again. “What is it that you could possibly-”

There was a red flash that blinded everyone in the area, and when the light cleared, the one taunting
Keroko lay on the ground, unconscious. A period of deafening silence filled the air as Keroko
gasped, took a full step backward, and stared down at the gaping hole in the boy’s shirt. The skin
underneath was blackened but unhurt otherwise, and a static feeling in the air caused hairs to stand
on end.

Keroko, unable to even comprehend what she had just done, fell to her knees, staring. Likewise, all
eyes present turned to look at the girl, mere fractions of a second too late to notice the tell-tale sign
of a magic sigil disappearing into the ethereal space betwixt dimensions to know that, not for the
first time in her life, Keroko Georashi had cast a spell. Indistinct murmurs arose as both the Big and
the Little Kids backed away from the red-headed girl, the Big ones dragging their friend away, and
left her alone. In the future, this exposure to magic would be something that would be scarred into
these children’s minds, but to Keroko, it would only be the start of something that would lead her
to something else entirely...

I liked hearing Keroko's history, looking forward to how your going to weave this into the main timeline.

Anything you like, but OCs belong to the OC thread and not the fanfiction thread. Unless you've fic written about OCs, but then it can still stay in OC thread...

Either make a new post in OCT/FFT, it doesn't really matter, unless you want them analyzed, then OCT is your choice. However, you say that they are old and then I presume they have already gone through the initial busting.

Either way, make a new post if you don't want to spend endless hours looking for your original post.

Not necessarily. The OCT is, imo (concerning OC's), for haxxbusting and the more technical aspects of characters.
Posting OC's in FFT is to my knowledge perfectly acceptable if they add to the story and the author wants to introduce them or add more information relevant to the readers.
That's what I currently do with my Reapers or HAVOC (which I consider an OC actually.)

I'm with Atomic on this one. If you cannot find your character on the index in the OC thread, just repost them. However, if they are fresh characters and you feel that they may or may not sit within the Nanoha-verse well, then post it in the OC thread instead so that they can take a look at your character and give it a thorough review and give their opinion on the characters.

Otherwise, just post it here.

Not necessarily. It can go in either thread, except that it's preferred in OC because then that's were all the character-busters are who actually take characters and disassemble them for any kinks or errors that shouldn't be there and the like.

As far as I'm concerned, they can be on here if the posters want to do it. Just as as long as it's a reasonably balanced character that won't have everyone freaking out or something or another.

Yea, I'm not saying that OC-related stuff belong only to OC thread. After all, PS!Vivio and Kagerou's Black Order fics both include OCs. Fics including or focusing on OCs in the FFT are fine to me.

Though, I do think OC profiles all belong to OCT, and not on FFT. Putting them here would undermine OCT's existence.

Syn grinned lightly when her knock on Vivio's door was answered almost at once. The smell of crab cakes came at once and her stomach growled rather loudly from it. "Um, hi." She greeted the blond, who was trying to repress a smile. "Something smells good."

"I thought it might be easier to talk over dinner." Vivio closed the door behind the girl and helped her take off her coat before hanging it up in the closet along with the long green scarf that followed.

"You love food don't you?" Syn went to the kitchen and inspected everything. "Every time we've gotten together lately it's been with something to eat."

Vivio hummed while thinking on it. "True, but you're the one who loves food, Miss Chef."

With a grin, the blue haired girl handed Vivio a spatula to flip the hamburger sized creations that were pan frying. "So, you sounded pretty eager to have me come over tonight to talk about things?"

"Mmmhmm, but it can wait for now. How was your day? I want to hear about this new job of yours. The... third one since we met?"

Syn blushed at the words. "Well, in my defense, I was only fired once. I quit my second job because I was scouted for this one."

"Scouted?" Vivio began to plate the finished food and offered one to Syn. "What do you mean?"

Taking the platter, the girl walked to the living room to sit on the floor across from each other at the coffee table. "Someone heard about the new menu at Wanyuu's and came to test it. They always scolded me for changing their recipes but it turned out good for me. I was offered a job right then and there. Now I make about double what I did before... It's nice, I actually have money to blow on things now."

"Congratulations." The proud tone made the blue haired girl avert her attention to the rapidly diminishing meal. "I'm proud."

"Thanks." Syn stuffed her mouth and was about to ask for a drink when Vivio sat back down with the glass offered to her. "I didn't even ask."

"I know. You're a weird person who eats first and then drinks."

"Anyway," Syn gulped down half of her drink at once and sighed out when done. "About you now?"

Reaching over, Vivio took their plates and placed them into the kitchen before sitting next to Syn when the couch was claimed. "What do you want to know about it?" When Syn looked hesitant, she gave a soft smile. "Just say it. Really, I know you're not trying to offend me... Right?" The girl felt a small bit of happiness at Syn's hesitance to speak before thinking.

"Right." Syn nodded. "Bluntly, how often do you have sex?"

"Depends. No, really," She waved off the look. "Sometimes I don't do it for an entire month and sometimes it's every day for almost two weeks. It just depends."

"You've been in that many scenes?"

"No, it's... how to explain... You see, it's not actual sex. It's acting, as in they shoot a section of it and if they don't like it, you re-do it."

"Why wouldn't they like it?"

"My hair gets in the way a lot. Or if my arm blocks the view of my breasts, sometimes they want me to moan more."

Syn blinked. "Seriously? They make you stop and re-shoot for that?"

"Oh yes. Sometimes it can take almost three hours to do one scene, and sometimes we do it multiple times to do different angles. My last DVD had four different angles in it, so in order to not have cameramen in the background I actually had to do the scene four different times. It took about two weeks."

"Why not do it all in one day?"

"You try having sex for more than three hours and lets see how eager you are to do it again." Vivio groaned. "It's work, Syn. Really. It doesn't feel good, sometimes it actually hurts to keep going. your joints get stiff from positions and let's not even get into oral scenes. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to stop for the day because I just couldn't go on."

Syn face palmed. "You know, I could have gone the rest of my life not knowing you get lockjaw from sucking too many-"

"Syn!" Vivio blushed darkly. "I'm trying to be serious here." Reaching over, she took both of the girl's hands. "Please. Look at it from my viewpoint. Can you see that it's work and not fun?"

"I... guess..." She sighed. "I just... I know that I will have to see it to fully understand it but I can't watch you like that..."

"Want to start smaller?" Vivio asked softly, getting a small nod. "Sit here..." She gave the hands a squeeze and went to her bedroom. After a few moments she came back and sat down with a flash drive. "Here..."

"What's on it?" Syn took the small device and looked it over. "One of your storage drives for work?"

"No, I keep those organized by month and for personal/home. That is... the backup of all my home recordings."

"What do you mean?"

Vivio gave a lopsided smile. "I have a webpage, and I record myself for them. A few of those...well a lot actually... are me with guys but there are a ton of me solo."

Syn looked at it. "What are you doing in them?"

"Name it."

"Seriously?" Syn blinked.

"Er, yeah... but." She retook Syn's hands. "I want you to see it. I want you to see what I do. See that I do it as a job, that I don't just go mindlessly..." She lowered her voice and said a word that started the letter "F", as if she was going to be scolded for saying it by someone. "So... watch some?"

Syn shifted in her seat. "I don't really know if I'll enjoy seeing you do this."

"I hope you do." She grinned, trying to make it less awkward. Getting a smile back, she leaned forward and hugged her. "Syn, please try to understand me. If you can get used to this-"

"I'll try." Syn hugged her back, pulling her closer. "I can't promise you anything but I'll look at some of these... But please understand that it might-"

"Push you farther away, I know." Vivio leaned away and smiled as best she could. "I want you to know that I'm waiting to sign a contract to farther my career."

"Why?"

"I'm hesitant."

"Why?"

"Because of you." Syn opened her mouth to respond but Vivio kept going. "I know, Syn, I know. But I can't help but hesitate. I want to do everything I can to try and make this work. I won't put all of this on your shoulders, I will work at it as well. I promise."

Syn felt a warmth seep into her and pulled Vivio to her once more. "Vivio?"

"Yes?"

"...Your hair smells really nice."

"...Thank you." Vivio closed her eyes and smiled.

Syn brought her knees up and wrapped her arms around them, placing her chin on the kneecaps while watching her laptop screen. She was on her bed, watching a video of her ex girlfriend with a mixed look of interest and something that she couldn't quite place. A small sigh escaped her lips as the video ended and started auto playing the next scene. 'It's so strange...' she thought to herself while the blond on the screen began an oral act on someone she didn't know. 'I'm not disgusted but at the same time...' She could feel that her face was blushing so much that even her ears felt hot. 'I'm not really MAD but...' Syn moved to lay on her stomach, cushioning her head onto her arms. 'I'm... a little bit aroused but... at the same time I'm not... Vivio doesn't... have that look in her eyes that I'm so used to seeing...'

A sudden ringing of her cell phone made the girl almost scream out, hastily closing her laptop down to cut off the loud sounds coming from it. After allowing herself a moment to settle down, she picked up the phone and flipped it open. "Hey Mom."

"Hey sweetie, how are you?" Her mother's voice came sweetly through the receiver.

"I'm... a little confused honestly."

"Oh, why is that?"

Syn fell onto her back and looked up at the ceiling. "Remember that girl I told you about?"

"The pornography actor?"

"Yes, her... Well... I kind of started talking to her again." Her mother stayed silent, seeing what would follow before she gave her advice. "You see... I'm..."

When her daughter seemed to be struggling, Elena spoke up. "You still like her?"

"No, yes, I don't know..." Syn looked at the closed laptop. "I'm... I feel... angry. Sad, but not like before. It's... I just don't know, I want to strangle everyone who looks at her."

"You're jealous." Syn stayed silent a moment so the mother went on. "Are you mad at Vivio or the profession she's in now?" Syn opened her mouth but closed it before licking her lips to clear her mind. "As sweet as you told me she was," Elena continued, "I would assume she keep her personal life away from her professional life. It is the same way in the military, fighting and killing and then coming home to hug your little girl."

Syn felt the connection in her mind click. "Yeah, but... People with her-"

"Syn-sweetie, are you mad at her or not?"

"I'm..." She looked down. "I'm not mad at her anymore... I don't think I've forgiven her just yet but..."

"So you like her as a person."

"...Yes, mom, I really like her. I wouldn't put myself through this if I didn't." A hand went to rub the bridge of her nose. "I just..."

"Can you seperate her pesonal life from her job?"

"I honestly don't know."

"Have you ever heard 'Jump in cold turkey'?"

"What weird saying are you using now?" Syn rolled her eyes.

"It means to go in head first, to go all or broke."

"What are you telling me?"

Elena smiled. "See if you can deal with it before you go through all of this. If you get there, freak and spaz out, and can't do it, then you can call it quits. If you go through all this emotional stress and worry over it, only to accept her back but not be able to bear her profession, would you be happy?"

"...No."

"Then see what you can do. Find out what separates her from her job."

"... Thanks mom." Syn shook her head. "I'm sorry, I went off on my own problems, what are you calling for?"

Elena's voice suddenly got really happy. "I found the cutest dress and I wanted to see if you would wear it-"

"No. Goodbye mom." Syn smiled and flipped her phone shut as her mom laughed. "I swear, I'm not a dress up doll..." Her hand went back to the laptop before stopping to hover above it. 'Maybe... I should watch these with her. To see how comfortable we are about it.... Yeah, I'll do that.' Her phone was opened again and she pressed Vivio's speed dial, only to get her voice mail. 'I wonder where she is?' Her phone was closed without leaving a message. 'I'll go out and get dinner and then call again.'

Syn made her way to her door, grabbing a jacket and putting it on before stepping into the outside world. A small envelope in the mailbox next to her door made her stop briefly to pluck it out. 'What? It's from Vivio?' The letter was opened and she had to catch a large shining purple ticket that fell from it. Her vision went to it first, reading it in her mind. 'Special V.I.P. guest pass from Eyes.' She blinked and looked at the letter.

I'm working on Watersday this week at a club known as Peaches. I'll be pole dancing and stripping as well as private shows in the champagne room. I was going to ask if you wanted to come watch me work but I thought asking in person might pressure you into saying yes so I mailed this. It would mean a lot to me if you came to see me. I want you to see my job and let you know what I do, how I work. This ticket will get you past the line at the door, just show it to the bouncer and you'll be brought to the stage side seating. Free drinks and even food, just show this ticket. It's at seven at night.

Syn re-read the letter and groaned. 'That's tonight, that stupid girl.' A look at her watch made her realize that Vivio's act would start within the next two hours. 'I don't even know how to get to that club.' The letter was re-folded but she stopped when she say a map drawn on the back of it. After staring at it for several long moments, she let out a pleased, amused smile. 'I'd need a GPS navigation system to understand this map...

Yes, you can put the link to your OCs and works under your sig, many people does that

"Depends. No, really," She waved off the look. "Sometimes I don't do it for an entire month and sometimes it's every day for almost two weeks. It just depends."

Syn looked at it. "What are you doing in them?"

"Name it."

"Seriously?" Syn blinked.

"Er, yeah... but." She retook Syn's hands. "I want you to see it. I want you to see what I do. See that I do it as a job, that I don't just go mindlessly..." She lowered her voice and said a word that started the letter "F", as if she was going to be scolded for saying it by someone. "So... watch some?"

Syn shifted in her seat. "I don't really know if I'll enjoy seeing you do this."

"I hope you do." She grinned, trying to make it less awkward. Getting a smile back, she leaned forward and hugged her. "Syn, please try to understand me. If you can get used to this-"

"I'll try." Syn hugged her back, pulling her closer. "I can't promise you anything but I'll look at some of these... But please understand that it might-"

"Push you farther away, I know." Vivio leaned away and smiled as best she could. "I want you to know that I'm waiting to sign a contract to farther my career."

"Why?"

"I'm hesitant."

"Why?"

"Because of you." Syn opened her mouth to respond but Vivio kept going. "I know, Syn, I know. But I can't help but hesitate. I want to do everything I can to try and make this work. I won't put all of this on your shoulders, I will work at it as well. I promise."

Syn felt a warmth seep into her and pulled Vivio to her once more. "Vivio?"

"Yes?"

"...Your hair smells really nice."

"...Thank you." Vivio closed her eyes and smiled.

She was on her bed, watching a video of her ex girlfriend with a mixed look of interest and something that she couldn't quite place. A small sigh escaped her lips as the video ended and started auto playing the next scene. 'It's so strange...' she thought to herself while the blond on the screen began an oral act on someone she didn't know. 'I'm not disgusted but at the same time...' She could feel that her face was blushing so much that even her ears felt hot. 'I'm not really MAD but...' Syn moved to lay on her stomach, cushioning her head onto her arms. 'I'm... a little bit aroused but... at the same time I'm not... Vivio doesn't... have that look in her eyes that I'm so used to seeing...'

A sudden ringing of her cell phone made the girl almost scream out, hastily closing her laptop down to cut off the loud sounds coming from it. After allowing herself a moment to settle down, she picked up the phone and flipped it open. "Hey Mom."

It is the same way in the military, fighting and killing and then coming home to hug your little girl."

Syn felt the connection in her mind click. "Yeah, but... People with her-"

"I'm..." She looked down. "I'm not mad at her anymore... I don't think I've forgiven her just yet but..."

"So you like her as a person."

I should watch these with her. To see how comfortable we are about it.... Yeah, I'll do that.' Her phone was opened again and she pressed Vivio's speed dial, only to get her voice mail. 'I wonder where she is?' Her phone was closed without leaving a message. 'I'll go out and get dinner and then call again.'

Syn made her way to her door, grabbing a jacket and putting it on before stepping into the outside world. A small envelope in the mailbox next to her door made her stop briefly to pluck it out. 'What? It's from Vivio?' The letter was opened and she had to catch a large shining purple ticket that fell from it. Her vision went to it first, reading it in her mind. 'Special V.I.P. guest pass from Eyes.' She blinked and looked at the letter.

I'm working on Watersday this week at a club known as Peaches. I'll be pole dancing and stripping as well as private shows in the champagne room. I was going to ask if you wanted to come watch me work but I thought asking in person might pressure you into saying yes so I mailed this. It would mean a lot to me if you came to see me. After staring at it for several long moments, she let out a pleased, amused smile. 'I'd need a GPS navigation system to understand this map...

I got lured here originally by Satashi waxing lyrical about the wonders of this forum and this thread on Fanfiction.net (there's another story regarding how I found out about Satashi's fanfics ) and decided to investigate and since then I've spent many a day at work trawling the thread in search of new shiny things.

I'm not going to attempt a review of the last 250 pages so you can breathe a sigh of relief.

I also bring my first fanfic attempt ever.

It's a bit dark and probably cliched so be aware.

It had happened again.

The one thing that still haunted her nightmares had been born to reality again.

They had been tasked with investigating ancient ruins on a distant planet that had shown signs of harbouring a lost logia. A standard mission, no different from the countless others they had worked together, and certainly no challenge for the Ace of Aces and herself.

It had happened too quickly.

She had been unable to react in time as the droid, which had seemed no different from the rest that they had mown down, had fired a barrier-breaking blast which had caught her companion off-guard. Magical Shields, Barrier Jackets and anything else in it's way had been ignored as the blast had continued it's unwavering course to it's destination of the wall on the other side of her close friend.

The lost logia-equipped droid had not stood a chance after that, it was dispatched instantly and emotionlessly as she raced towards the wounded, hoping that she would be in time.

This was the reality she was faced with now.

As she cradled Nanoha in her arms, she could only stare in horror at the scene before her.

No. This was just a dream, another nightmare like before.
No. This was impossible.
No. It had happened before, it would be OK just like before.
No. It wasn't like before....

Uncountable tears already covered the charred and bloody Barrier Jacket that lay before her, she could not remember how long she had cried for, too long it seemed.

A twitch.

She could only stare as Nanoha's eyes twitched open and watch on in hope as a small smile appeared on the face of the one she had admired for so long. "I'm sorry for scaring you like that, I guess I got careless again" Nanoha's voice came haltingly "This seems strangely familiar for some reason, it's like we've been here before." A cough racked the remains of Nanoha's chest as thick red liquid stained her lips. "I guess I'll have to let you take it from here, and I guess I've got more rehabilitation time ahead of me" she attempted to giggle but only managed another racking cough, staining her jacket further with red. "But first I think I'll take a short nap, it's been a long day...". She could only watch in horror as Nanoha's eyes closed once again.

"No!" she cried "You can't sleep now!" for she knew what the result would be if she let those eyes close again. She shook Nanoha, she had to keep her awake until help came. No response answered her efforts. "No! You have to wake up! We have to get you to safety!" but the body in her arms only response was to relax. "You can't die now! I never told you I loved you! Stupid!" Her final cry echoing through the ruins that day as she wept over the body of her lost loved one.

She could never tell if her eyes had been playing tricks on her that day, but she was sure a hint of a smile had reappeared on that serene face below her just before the end. To Vita, however, it would be a smile she would remember for the rest of her days.

If anyone wants to R&R it would be greatly appreciated, I don't think it's that good but it'd be nice to know what I can improve.

Taking the platter, the girl walked to the living room to sit on the floor across from each other at the coffee table. "Someone heard about the new menu at Wanyuu's and came to test it. They always scolded me for changing their recipes but it turned out good for me. I was offered a job right then and there. Now I make about double what I did before... It's nice, I actually have money to blow on things now."

"Congratulations." The proud tone made the blue haired girl avert her attention to the rapidly diminishing meal. "I'm proud."

"Thanks." Syn stuffed her mouth and was about to ask for a drink when Vivio sat back down with the glass offered to her. "I didn't even ask."

"I know. You're a weird person who eats first and then drinks."

"Anyway," Syn gulped down half of her drink at once and sighed out when done. "About you now?"

Wise words from Elena. I like how she tried to get Syn to dress up. Good chapter to see where Syn is at in this whole ordeal and how she's slowly accepting it. Almost two hours passed before Syn finally pulled into the parking lot of the strip club stationed a few towns over from the city they lived in. Neon purple lights were everywhere, matched with other dim lights that gave enough room to see everything but still seemed to offer a little privacy from everyone around.

Despite the club being packed to the brim, Syn found herself comfortably alone on her side. A few others were nearby on their own love seats but had two girls on each of them, doing things that Syn wasn't sure about the legality of it all.

When the music suddenly got louder and lights focused on the stage, Syn felt her jaw drop at the sight of Vivio walking out. A voice came over the speakers introducing Eyes to the crowd- which was sudden flocking to the stage holding up bills. Allowing her eyes to take it in, Syn stared at her friend. Sparkling body glitter was barely applied to the girl, showing off the parts of skin that was exposed around the extremely short school girl uniform. A brown skirt with a white top covered by a vest was what was worn, completed by white thigh high stockings.

Vivio grinned at everyone and grabbed the main pole with her left hand, swaying her body around it to a loud beat of the song. Twirling, she put her back to it and wiggled her hips while sinking down with her legs parted. One hand went to the best and unbuttoned the top clasp, licking her lips as people started screaming louder. The second button was undone and the vest was discarded. Vivio took the pole in her hand again and held on as she bent backwards to flash her panties.

Syn swallowed thickly, eyes locked onto the girl and the slow removal of clothes. The shirt was ripped open when the song got louder and the lights started flashing to the beat. A white bra was revealed and the torn shirt was thrown on stage. After a moment, Syn finally got off the couch and walked to the empty section of the stage, by the secluded pole, and watched. Her friend was moving faster as the song sped up, now sporting several bills in her stockings and skirt falling to the floor. Syn reached into her pocket and pulled out a bill, folding it in half longways like everyone else, and took a breath. "Hey, Eyes!"

Vivio seemed to pick out the voice at once, looking over at Syn's area quickly. To the VIP's surprise, a sudden true smile came on the dancer's lips. Green and red eyes seemed to shine more as she swayed over to the side pole and swung around it. Her body moved to the beat while her vision stayed locked on her friend's face. The movements were made quicker now, mouth open in a happy smile and small laugh. Finally she moved over to Syn and leaned down, spinning in front of her and reaching for her panties, wiggling her rear right in front of her. Sparkling happy eyes looked back at her and she beamed as Syn slid the bill into her stockings. The panties were removed and tossed on Syn's head before she waved happily and moved back to the center stage, finishing her song with enthusiasm. This may be the best line of the entire story so far. This is, after all, the entire point that Syn and Vivio's relationship depends on. If it's the emotional tie that's ultimately significant, then they're all right. If it's the physical act that marks Syn's emotional line in the sand, then they've got problems--but at least Syn is now seeing for herself that there really is a difference between those two things. Syn's mom, intriguingly, seems to be on Vivio's side in this, maybe because she really does understand and maybe just because she could see how happy Syn was during that time.

It makes me wonder just how knowing that Syn is in the audience will affect Vivio's "private shows" at Peaches...

Syn grinned lightly when her knock on Vivio's door was answered almost at once. The smell of crab cakes came at once and her stomach growled rather loudly from it. "Um, hi." She greeted the blond, who was trying to repress a smile. "Something smells good."

"I thought it might be easier to talk over dinner." Vivio closed the door behind the girl and helped her take off her coat before hanging it up in the closet along with the long green scarf that followed.

"You love food don't you?" Syn went to the kitchen and inspected everything. "Every time we've gotten together lately it's been with something to eat."

Vivio hummed while thinking on it. "True, but you're the one who loves food, Miss Chef."

With a grin, the blue haired girl handed Vivio a spatula to flip the hamburger sized creations that were pan frying. "So, you sounded pretty eager to have me come over tonight to talk about things?"

"Mmmhmm, but it can wait for now. How was your day? I want to hear about this new job of yours. The... third one since we met?"

Syn blushed at the words. "Well, in my defense, I was only fired once. I quit my second job because I was scouted for this one."

"Scouted?" Vivio began to plate the finished food and offered one to Syn. "What do you mean?"

Taking the platter, the girl walked to the living room to sit on the floor across from each other at the coffee table. "Someone heard about the new menu at Wanyuu's and came to test it. They always scolded me for changing their recipes but it turned out good for me. I was offered a job right then and there. Now I make about double what I did before... It's nice, I actually have money to blow on things now."

"Congratulations." The proud tone made the blue haired girl avert her attention to the rapidly diminishing meal. "I'm proud."

"Thanks." Syn stuffed her mouth and was about to ask for a drink when Vivio sat back down with the glass offered to her. "I didn't even ask."

"I know. You're a weird person who eats first and then drinks."

"Anyway," Syn gulped down half of her drink at once and sighed out when done. "About you now?"

Reaching over, Vivio took their plates and placed them into the kitchen before sitting next to Syn when the couch was claimed. "What do you want to know about it?" When Syn looked hesitant, she gave a soft smile. "Just say it. Really, I know you're not trying to offend me... Right?" The girl felt a small bit of happiness at Syn's hesitance to speak before thinking.

"Right." Syn nodded. "Bluntly, how often do you have sex?"

"Depends. No, really," She waved off the look. "Sometimes I don't do it for an entire month and sometimes it's every day for almost two weeks. It just depends."

"You've been in that many scenes?"

"No, it's... how to explain... You see, it's not actual sex. It's acting, as in they shoot a section of it and if they don't like it, you re-do it."

"Why wouldn't they like it?"

"My hair gets in the way a lot. Or if my arm blocks the view of my breasts, sometimes they want me to moan more."

Syn blinked. "Seriously? They make you stop and re-shoot for that?"

"Oh yes. Sometimes it can take almost three hours to do one scene, and sometimes we do it multiple times to do different angles. My last DVD had four different angles in it, so in order to not have cameramen in the background I actually had to do the scene four different times. It took about two weeks."

"Why not do it all in one day?"

"You try having sex for more than three hours and lets see how eager you are to do it again." Vivio groaned. "It's work, Syn. Really. It doesn't feel good, sometimes it actually hurts to keep going. your joints get stiff from positions and let's not even get into oral scenes. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to stop for the day because I just couldn't go on."

Syn face palmed. "You know, I could have gone the rest of my life not knowing you get lockjaw from sucking too many-"

"Syn!" Vivio blushed darkly. "I'm trying to be serious here." Reaching over, she took both of the girl's hands. "Please. Look at it from my viewpoint. Can you see that it's work and not fun?"

"I... guess..." She sighed. "I just... I know that I will have to see it to fully understand it but I can't watch you like that..."

"Want to start smaller?" Vivio asked softly, getting a small nod. "Sit here..." She gave the hands a squeeze and went to her bedroom. After a few moments she came back and sat down with a flash drive. "Here..."

"What's on it?" Syn took the small device and looked it over. "One of your storage drives for work?"

"No, I keep those organized by month and for personal/home. That is... the backup of all my home recordings."

"What do you mean?"

Vivio gave a lopsided smile. "I have a webpage, and I record myself for them. A few of those...well a lot actually... are me with guys but there are a ton of me solo."

Syn looked at it. "What are you doing in them?"

"Name it."

"Seriously?" Syn blinked.

"Er, yeah... but." She retook Syn's hands. "I want you to see it. I want you to see what I do. See that I do it as a job, that I don't just go mindlessly..." She lowered her voice and said a word that started the letter "F", as if she was going to be scolded for saying it by someone. "So... watch some?"

Syn shifted in her seat. "I don't really know if I'll enjoy seeing you do this."

"I hope you do." She grinned, trying to make it less awkward. Getting a smile back, she leaned forward and hugged her. "Syn, please try to understand me. If you can get used to this-"

"I'll try." Syn hugged her back, pulling her closer. "I can't promise you anything but I'll look at some of these... But please understand that it might-"

"Push you farther away, I know." Vivio leaned away and smiled as best she could. "I want you to know that I'm waiting to sign a contract to farther my career."

"Why?"

"I'm hesitant."

"Why?"

"Because of you." Syn opened her mouth to respond but Vivio kept going. "I know, Syn, I know. But I can't help but hesitate. I want to do everything I can to try and make this work. I won't put all of this on your shoulders, I will work at it as well. I promise."

Syn felt a warmth seep into her and pulled Vivio to her once more. "Vivio?"

"Yes?"

"...Your hair smells really nice."

"...Thank you." Vivio closed her eyes and smiled.

Syn brought her knees up and wrapped her arms around them, placing her chin on the kneecaps while watching her laptop screen. She was on her bed, watching a video of her ex girlfriend with a mixed look of interest and something that she couldn't quite place. A small sigh escaped her lips as the video ended and started auto playing the next scene. 'It's so strange...' she thought to herself while the blond on the screen began an oral act on someone she didn't know. 'I'm not disgusted but at the same time...' She could feel that her face was blushing so much that even her ears felt hot. 'I'm not really MAD but...' Syn moved to lay on her stomach, cushioning her head onto her arms. 'I'm... a little bit aroused but... at the same time I'm not... Vivio doesn't... have that look in her eyes that I'm so used to seeing...'

A sudden ringing of her cell phone made the girl almost scream out, hastily closing her laptop down to cut off the loud sounds coming from it. After allowing herself a moment to settle down, she picked up the phone and flipped it open. "Hey Mom."

"Hey sweetie, how are you?" Her mother's voice came sweetly through the receiver.

"I'm... a little confused honestly."

"Oh, why is that?"

Syn fell onto her back and looked up at the ceiling. "Remember that girl I told you about?"

"The pornography actor?"

"Yes, her... Well... I kind of started talking to her again." Her mother stayed silent, seeing what would follow before she gave her advice. "You see... I'm..."

When her daughter seemed to be struggling, Elena spoke up. "You still like her?"

"No, yes, I don't know..." Syn looked at the closed laptop. "I'm... I feel... angry. Sad, but not like before. It's... I just don't know, I want to strangle everyone who looks at her."

"You're jealous." Syn stayed silent a moment so the mother went on. "Are you mad at Vivio or the profession she's in now?" Syn opened her mouth but closed it before licking her lips to clear her mind. "As sweet as you told me she was," Elena continued, "I would assume she keep her personal life away from her professional life. It is the same way in the military, fighting and killing and then coming home to hug your little girl."

Syn felt the connection in her mind click. "Yeah, but... People with her-"

"Syn-sweetie, are you mad at her or not?"

"I'm..." She looked down. "I'm not mad at her anymore... I don't think I've forgiven her just yet but..."

"So you like her as a person."

"...Yes, mom, I really like her. I wouldn't put myself through this if I didn't." A hand went to rub the bridge of her nose. "I just..."

"Can you separate her personal life from her job?"

"I honestly don't know."

"Have you ever heard 'Jump in cold turkey'?"

"What weird saying are you using now?" Syn rolled her eyes.

"It means to go in head first, to go all or broke."

"What are you telling me?"

Elena smiled. "See if you can deal with it before you go through all of this. If you get there, freak and spaz out, and can't do it, then you can call it quits. If you go through all this emotional stress and worry over it, only to accept her back but not be able to bear her profession, would you be happy?"

"...No."

"Then see what you can do. Find out what separates her from her job."

"... Thanks mom." Syn shook her head. "I'm sorry, I went off on my own problems, what are you calling for?"

Elena's voice suddenly got really happy. "I found the cutest dress and I wanted to see if you would wear it-"

"No. Goodbye mom." Syn smiled and flipped her phone shut as her mom laughed. "I swear, I'm not a dress up doll..." Her hand went back to the laptop before stopping to hover above it. 'Maybe... I should watch these with her. To see how comfortable we are about it.... Yeah, I'll do that.' Her phone was opened again and she pressed Vivio's speed dial, only to get her voice mail. 'I wonder where she is?' Her phone was closed without leaving a message. 'I'll go out and get dinner and then call again.'

Syn made her way to her door, grabbing a jacket and putting it on before stepping into the outside world. A small envelope in the mailbox next to her door made her stop briefly to pluck it out. 'What? It's from Vivio?' The letter was opened and she had to catch a large shining purple ticket that fell from it. Her vision went to it first, reading it in her mind. 'Special V.I.P. guest pass from Eyes.' She blinked and looked at the letter.

I'm working on Watersday this week at a club known as Peaches. I'll be pole dancing and stripping as well as private shows in the champagne room. I was going to ask if you wanted to come watch me work but I thought asking in person might pressure you into saying yes so I mailed this. It would mean a lot to me if you came to see me. I want you to see my job and let you know what I do, how I work. This ticket will get you past the line at the door, just show it to the bouncer and you'll be brought to the stage side seating. Free drinks and even food, just show this ticket. It's at seven at night.

Syn re-read the letter and groaned. 'That's tonight, that stupid girl.' A look at her watch made her realize that Vivio's act would start within the next two hours. 'I don't even know how to get to that club.' The letter was re-folded but she stopped when she say a map drawn on the back of it. After staring at it for several long moments, she let out a pleased, amused smile. 'I'd need a GPS navigation system to understand this map...

Almost two hours passed before Syn finally pulled into the parking lot of the strip club stationed a few towns over from the city they lived in. Despite a small flurry of snow lightly coating everything outside, a long line of people were standing next to the building waiting to get in. 'I've seen lines at clubs before but never strip clubs... But then again, most strip club I've seen from the outside were crappy little run down joints...' Following the line, she ignored the people staring at her and found the entrance where a large man who was almost twice the size of her was standing. "Excuse me?" Syn asked politely, getting glared at hard. "Ah... I was told to show you this?" She produced the brightly colored ticket and was quickly treated with much more respect. A person was called over to her and she was ushered inside the club.

Allowing her jacket to be taken to a special closet, she blinked at everything around her. Music was playing in the background but wasn't overpowering like most places. She was shown to a cushioned leather couch and before she could even say anything someone came to ask if she wanted a drink or something to eat. Although she was a little shocked by it, she still got a bottle of an alcoholic malt beverage brought to her by a topless girl wearing only a thong. "Whoa..." She took the bottle and the girl sat down next to her, fawning over the blue haired one. "Um, hi."

"Hey there sexy," She replied, getting closer. "So you're here for Eyes, huh? Sure you wouldn't want me to keep you company?" The girl grinned and put a hand on Syn's leg.

"Ah, well, haha..." For the first time she was actually at a loss for words. "I'd... rather see Vi,er, Eyes." She got a pout but a nod anyway. "She is about to be on stage." The girl smiled at her and winked. "If you want to have fun later, call for me."

Syn coughed and straightened her shirt, blushing as her eyes looked around to take in everything. Right in front of her was a long stage, complete with three poles. The main one was in the middle and two more were off to the side, one of which was only a few feet from her seat. Neon purple lights were everywhere, matched with other dim lights that gave enough room to see everything but still seemed to offer a little privacy from everyone around.

Despite the club being packed to the brim, Syn found herself comfortably alone on her side. A few others were nearby on their own love seats but had two girls on each of them, doing things that Syn wasn't sure about the legality of it all.

When the music suddenly got louder and lights focused on the stage, Syn felt her jaw drop at the sight of Vivio walking out. A voice came over the speakers introducing Eyes to the crowd- which was sudden flocking to the stage holding up bills. Allowing her eyes to take it in, Syn stared at her friend. Sparkling body glitter was barely applied to the girl, showing off the parts of skin that was exposed around the extremely short school girl uniform. A brown skirt with a white top covered by a vest was what was worn, completed by white thigh high stockings.

Vivio grinned at everyone and grabbed the main pole with her left hand, swaying her body around it to a loud beat of the song. Twirling, she put her back to it and wiggled her hips while sinking down with her legs parted. One hand went to the best and unbuttoned the top clasp, licking her lips as people started screaming louder. The second button was undone and the vest was discarded. Vivio took the pole in her hand again and held on as she bent backwards to flash her panties.

Syn swallowed thickly, eyes locked onto the girl and the slow removal of clothes. The shirt was ripped open when the song got louder and the lights started flashing to the beat. A white bra was revealed and the torn shirt was thrown on stage. The red and blue eyed girl felt her breath catch as Vivio jumped on the pole, looped one leg around it, and twirled down only to stop near the floor and go into the splits. Crawling slightly, she grinned at some of the people by the stage and took their money, slowly moving her body up to show them her bra as she undid the clasp. Now topless, Vivio moved back to her pole and swayed with the song's rhythm, dancing in perfect harmony despite the cries and pleading from the crowd.

After a moment, Syn finally got off the couch and walked to the empty section of the stage, by the secluded pole, and watched. Her friend was moving faster as the song sped up, now sporting several bills in her stockings and skirt falling to the floor. Syn reached into her pocket and pulled out a bill, folding it in half longways like everyone else, and took a breath. "Hey, Eyes!"

Vivio seemed to pick out the voice at once, looking over at Syn's area quickly. To the VIP's surprise, a sudden true smile came on the dancer's lips. Green and red eyes seemed to shine more as she swayed over to the side pole and swung around it. Her body moved to the beat while her vision stayed locked on her friend's face. The movements were made quicker now, mouth open in a happy smile and small laugh. Finally she moved over to Syn and leaned down, spinning in front of her and reaching for her panties, wiggling her rear right in front of her. Sparkling happy eyes looked back at her and she beamed as Syn slid the bill into her stockings. The panties were removed and tossed on Syn's head before she waved happily and moved back to the center stage, finishing her song with enthusiasm. The pole was slid around, grabbed, twirled around and finally rubbed against in an erotic manor. One more round was made around the crowd and several more bills were collected before Vivio looked at Syn one last time and gave her a truly happy smile before swaying off stage.

Syn flushed and sat back down on the couch, looking at the innocent white lace in her hands. Despite herself, she couldn't help but smile. A small, lopsided grin paired with a chuckle. 'That was... rather funny actually.' She put them into her pocket and took a long drink from her bottle while waiting for her friend to come back to her.

I'm not exactly sure what to say about this part. Syn actually gets to see more of Vivio's profession and she seems to be enjoying herself for the time being. Yet there is something about the whole atmosphere that makes me believe that it won't be continuously smooth sailing from now on. Nothing comes out of speculationg, so I can't wait to see the next part out.

I always thought Hayate being far more suitable for Palpatine's role. Controlling the Republic (TSAB), issuing a clone (cyborg) army, all just to finish her evil mastermind plan of creating her Empire (Harem). Yet then we're left without Han Solo... Nevermind.

Precia=Padme works perfectly, since not only were both Jail and Precia responsible for creating Fate, but apparently before Alicia's death Precia wasn't the complete nutjob we all know and want to shove a scythe through.

I vote for Regius Gaiz as Palpatine. Not only was he (with the Council) behind the funding of Jail Scaglietti/Vader, but I believe the StrikerS-edition Jail was actually cloned at the behest of Gaiz and the Council, completing the metaphor for Palpatine seducing Anakin to the Dark Side...And if you ignore the Expanded Universe stuff, then Vader turning on Palpatine in Return of the Jedi parallels Jail turning Zest and Due loose on Gaiz, although from considerably less pleasant motives.
