Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Had a whole eight hours of sleep after a long time, so obviously I'm late at making the thread. Gomen na sai! To start talking about the episode, looks like Aizen-sama will be stirring in it. Highlights obviously will be covering his awesome hair do which he maintains by jellin' like a felon. I wonder how long Shinji will be able to entertain Aizen-sama before he catches boredom and disposes him with a swat. I'm also hoping Gin will start making his appearance at a more frequent basis. The talkative blind guy had his moment, so its Gin's turn now, right?
Enjoy the discussion. Absolutely no manga spoilers in any anime-only threads such as the weekly Episode Discussion threads. That means, no hints, or vague remarks about a future event from the manga, even within the spoiler tags. Inability to observe this rule will sresult in a BAN! |

Good episode on the whole - I enjoyed the fleshing out of the fight (in the manga it was too short and didn't show any advantage to Tousen's resurreccion).
However, there was something that confused me - Myo'o (Komamura's bankai) just seemed to disappear in the middle of the fight (although that just might be me missing something important) |

lol at the omake
Last episodes were suprisingly good. And OP13 is "Ranbu no Melody (乱舞のメロディ; Melody of the Wild Dance)" which is sung by SID. ED25 will be called "Last Moment" which will be sung by SPYAIR, and Jump magazine seems to have confirmed it will start on October 12th (episode 292). |

Was a pretty enjoyable episode minus all the flashback crap. I kept watching the end over and over again and comparing it to KLFireTears' rendition on youtube. He did a pretty good job with it. Anyways at the very end after the credits the segment "Illustrated Guide to Shinigami" was freaking hilarious.

so sakanade basically bends light, so much that it travels in arcs and front=back, up=down, etc. and it smells good too.
As for Tosen, I was a bit disappointed that the neither the anime nor the manga clarified exactly what happened to him. Did Aizen swoop down w/o anyone noticing and gut him? Did Aizen use some kind of kido? Or was there a remotely detonated bomb he implanted in Tosen? Or did T just die on his own, and Aizen had nothing to do with it? In any case, it was kinda appropriate that Tosen ended up as a splat on the pavement. Also: awwwww at Koma's friendship speech. yaoi moment! Kinda makes me wonder how they woulda made amends with Tosen if he hadn't been exploded. |

lolz for just now noticing this in the OP
the scene where we see the characters in HM, out of everybody's hair that's moving, Kenpachi's doesn't. Komamura proved he was a true bro. One thing that had me puzzled since that manga chapter...did Tosen simply just explode? or did Aizen kill him? Last edited by Mr. DJ; 2010-10-05 at 23:25. |

Nice episode.
I think tousen just kinda exploded "on his own". Cause he seemed shocked right before he turned into a pudle of blood. And there were no sound of kidou, and Aizen were facing Shinji's way when Komamura screamed. Although this is just my theory

it wasn't obvious to me from the manga, but tousen's ressureccion form had a gigantic slit in it that would presumably have had direct access to his brain... he might as well have stuck a massive light up sign there saying "insert sword here"

Kudos to the anime team for making this moment between Komamura/Tousen/Hisagi so touching! T_T
Koma-Koma is THE epitome of friendship, really Though I'm still shocked at the lack of censorship O_O; (not that I'm complaining =P) Yeah I know, you would say that the "bad" guys don't deserve it >.>

I'm pleasantly suprised. I thought Tengen Myou only had weak slash, strong slash and block. Seems like it's capable of a minor light show as well .
I'd really like Koma to have a s2 bankai with compact armour on him.
