It was mentioned, Takanashi means No hawks, so if you combine it it's No hawks where little birds play, or something along those lines.

Cannon was disappointing IMO, for a "shooter" BRS couldn't shoot for shit. And when she did land hits on those skulls it didn't even leave a scratch. Pretty whimpy for a BFG.

10/10 Animation. Ordet did an amazing job on both the fighting scenes and the character designs.

10/10 Music. Other than the extremely bad and unfitting rock music ending, the background instrumentals and piano renditions were really nice and fitted the OAV nicely.

3/10 Story. It looked like the animators didn't really have a story to work around with, so the director probably smoked something and thought up of a schoolgirl friendship story to mix in with the action. It couldn't decide what it wanted to be until the last 3 minutes.

All in all, average. Overly hyped? Yes. But still a must watch for the great animation.

They should have used Black Rock Shooter as the ending song. God the rock song was grating to the ears.

its not the guns fault

its the producer

its supposed to shoot charged shots rather than rapid ones to do real damge

Watched the OVA... watched the MV for the song which the ova is based off of

Still see no correlation or have a clue what went down in the ova lol.

It feels like some generic slife of life drama with some random fighting in Tartarus spliced in to portray the emotions or what not. But then the ending seems to set it up for another eps...

It's a shame this came out after Inception because the directing feels extremely amateurish compared to Nolan's work. The fighting is good though, reminds me of Soul Eater if it was set in Persona 3.

Not the gun's fault BRS couldn't use it skillfully, and even then I wouldn't blame BRS entirely cause DM might've been quite the tricky target to hit. Plus who can say the skulls weren't made out of some very tough material?

Anyway, I'd like to see Insane BRS at some point if they continue the story. Explain how exactly she attains that form and the events that occur to make it happen. (Plus the gun she has in that form is roughly twice her size. =p)

The BRS and BGS merging theory isn't impossible, but seems too...cliche to me.

In response to above, please use spoiler tags for excessively large pics, and the film roll picture is fan made, showed up about a month or two ago. Who knows if the team will adopt their explanation of Insane BRS as canon material.

The same are said about Yomi and DM. IMHO, though, they aren't. I like to think of BRS and DM (and Saw and STR, etc) as "hero(in)es archetypes". Their existence is removed from the world, much in the same way as (wait for it) Gilgamesh or Cuchulainn of Fate/Stay night. However, heroes don't exist in a vacuum. They are tied to tales of triumphs and tragedies (especially tragedies). Because of this, our heroines --BRS, STR, and even DM-- need to meld with someone from the real world to make them tied to real people's real life story, to give them some meaning. But they can only meld with someone whose soul resonates with their raison d'etre. The psychotic DM meld with the jealous Yomi. The BRS who own BFG meld with the insecure Mato. And thus the tale of heroines begin anew. Just my 2 cents. __________________ If there's a Final Fantasy game that I must put my personal seal of disapproval on, it's Crisis Core. I mean, just look at how this Genesis Rhapsodos dude is raping the canon. It's bad. As in, fanfiction bad.
