@ Stratos - So far they seem to be shaping up to be the main antagonists. They attacked Ichika and co in V5 and V6. They seem to do a lot of behind the scenes villainy.

even without flash back, we already know White Knight incident is Orchestrated by Tabane (by hacking missile silo to fire to Japan air space) and Chifuyu forced by her to show the capability of IS ...IMO....more like one morning Tabane show some smile at Chifuyu and ask her to fly with her IS to take down a rain of missile or Ichika will fry to the death by them (this explain how harsh Chifuyu treat her in the sea side arc when Houki receive her own IS)

But Phantom Pain is like some spec ops unit under Logos. From what we know, Phantom Task is just a multinational terrorist/IS jacker group.

Oh, the black market thing was a joke lol. (mostly drawn from Resident evil/bio hazard) where the main villain(s) usually make a biological weapons (T, G, don't know if their research led up to the Y virus development lol) and sell them to the black marketing, and that's how they get their funding.
