Haha, so I wasn't the only one who thought of the AT series when the concept of diving was brought up.

Ah, the subbed PV is getting me hyped all over again. xD

Not really a spoiler, as the first post in this thread already explains what happens to players if they lose.
And those that can understand japanese (or saw the subbed PV), already know it too.

As for me, I read the first few novels, so I already know what'll happen (unless they change some stuff for the animation).

I'm excited about the animation, yes. But there'll also be a game, right? I wonder how that one will be like

Usually games of series like SAO, they're either about playing as the protagonist, or introduce a new character (You) to play as you interact with the original cast.

PSV? Eh, I wouldn't mind, but I'd certainly prefer if it were on the PS3 instead. I'd kill for a SAO RPG but a fighting game would be pretty cool, too.

I wonder if it'll get announced sometime after the AW game releases?

I with you RPG or fighting style would great . On PSV or ps3 would great but it can also be great if it was for the Wii or Xbox.
Now that I think about on which of the current consoles would a RPG be better on ? And for a fighting style game the only consoles that sort of game would be good on would have to PSV,PS3 and the 360.

Man how long will we have to wait till we have full dive and the virtual reality technology?

Because Sword Art Online was already announced to have a videogame adaptation (alongside Accel World), I would say PSP and PS3 are the most fitting consoles for the RPG game of SAO.

Ah, alright. I'm going to hold off on getting a Vita for now. What makes you say that, though? I guess releasing the game much later would reduce or even eliminate any unnecessary competition that the AW games might generate?

If the platforms the AW games will be released are anything to go by, it's unlikely. Also, neither the SAO nor the AW games use motion so the Wii is out, even if it is popular in Japan. As for the 360.. well.. there's little to no love for it in Japan. I'm guessing they'll probably either on the PSP and PS3 or on the PSV and the PS3.

20-30 years, perhaps? Who knows, haha.

just watched the trailer of SAO... goosebumps all over.

I cant express my happiness they ll be making the series with the vol 2 short stories plus Aria of the Starless Night in a chronological order.. it adds the deep that sometimes was lost in the LN until you read those extra chapters. Specially the chapter 4 of VOl 2, its very dark and dense... If the anime ends being kind of dark mooded i ll be very, very satisfied.

But no idea how many chapters it ll be, if its just 12, then no way all the first arc will fit in there, unless compressed and bad told. So if they split in 2 12 chapters it ll be ok... better if its a 24 chapter run.

no, no, no it's not that she's not receiving love. It's people way of trying to forget the sad past and now you remind me of her I need to brace myself when the anime entered her arc

Mhm, that's borderline spoiler territory. You might want to remove some bits of that post just to be on the safe side. :x

Even so, completely forgetting about her is absolutely not the way people should be going about it. She's adorable and deserves the attention that I hope she'll get once the anime airs.

I didn't reveal any information or scene about her but just brace yourself for her.

While it's true that you didn't, I wouldn't be surprised to see some people get upset over the warning.

As for myself, I read that SS so I know all about it. I'm actually looking forward to that arc.
