It's honestly just internet people internet-ing and from what I can see the overall sentiment towards Mamare (and LH) is still positive. (Volume 11, the Re:Fraction event, and the S3 reveal all got a lot of positive reception.) But for the past few years, the Mamare-related threads I've seen on 2ch only attracts "tax evader" "needs to be in jail" "scum" "this series still exists?" kinds of comments.

(His last tweet was in 2014, his last activity report on Syosetu was in January 2015 to preview volume 10, then the scandal came to light April 2015.) His decreased online presence might be for completely unrelated reasons and it coincidentally timed up this way.

Edit: Unrelated, but the official anime twitter has gone with "Destruction of the Round Table" as the English translation of the season/volume title, hence "DORT". (I've previously gone with "Collapse".)

To be honest, the less work Mamare has to show => less work-related stuff folks can comment on => idle and unimaginative people focusing on stuff that's easier to gossip on.

With scandal, it may be best to pour out so much quality work that you can slap the critics/gossips down

When he decides to strap up and face Indicus, he views it mostly as an inevitability. He also hopes to clear the air after the mess that was the Tea Party's disbandment, though I'm not sure whether he's aware that Indicus always hated him.

Last I checked in the LN, he just got around to being in the same room as her so we haven't seen them interact directly..

They were fighting Susabo, the Genius of the Ocean Boundary. May or may not be fighting alongside Raynesia's group that was sent to find Krusty. Meanwhile Krusty can't leave the Eured region so he should be heading towards Mount Kunlun in the Prison of Time in order to fight Bucaphi, the Genius that cursed him.

Also, according to the latest @loghorizon_DORT tweet, S3 ep1 is titled "Raynesia's Marriage", which is from the first chapter of volume 12. Seems like they're gonna do what S2 did and change up the order of events to make more narrative sense, instead of doing a direct chapter-to-episode adaption. (What with S2 starting with volume 7, then mix-and-matched volume 6 and 7 content since they occurred at the same time in-universe.)

I'm fairly confident volume 11 will get adapted, considering Krusty's abode in Fairyland is DORT's header image. (I initially thought it was a screencap from S2, but it was pointed out to me that it isn't.)

Nope. Honestly feel like at this rate, we won't hear anything new about volume 12 until S3 releases (or is close to releasing).

The Amazon page for volume 12 is technically still down, but its preview (which you can still see through Google search preview) lists March 31, 2020. (Which was the last updated publication date after September 2019 eluded us.) Naturally, that should be taken with a hunk of salt since Kadokawa has nothing on that front.

If you ask me, it hurt Log Horizon and took it "off the map"...

No novel updates lately, but the mobile game is now celebrating its 5th anniversary. One day they'll add a new build for the Bard class... it's been 5 years and it hasn't even gotten an intermediate build...

But with how COVID-19 is affecting the anime industry, it's best to expect for it to be pushed back. I'd rather wait for the production staff to take their time and work in a safe environment to turn out a good product, instead of risking their lives and rushing to make the Fall 2020 season. And rushing usually results in a poorly done product.

I don't want that with Log Horizon. Especially with how Season 2 was handled.

So there's still nothing about Volume 12?
