The warez sites didn't host any illegal file, so it was hard to attack them. MU always quickly accepted to delete reported stuff, so they could pretend they were doing legit business. It was hard for the the authorities to prove people were downloading stuff. Sure they could measure the traffic, but I don't think they had to way to tell who was downloading what and when. And it's something they need to to back up their case in court. I am really surprised it was taken down in such a brutish manner. Rapidshare won in court and I guess they didn't want to repeat that, so they went all out no questions asked. Because I don't really see a difference between the two and if one survived, so would have the other if FBI did it the slow soft way. |

I can't wait to pirate and print out some Warhammer 40k armies. Though if this would be cheaper than even GameWorkshop's rediculous prices is doubtful. Then I would print me some anime figurines next... hmmmmm poor anime industry is going to get hit yet another time How much does 3D printing cost? Per unit, per volume, whatever is the deciding factor? |

I liked Mr. Ho's statement at the end of the video. "Initially you have no idea what you're doing. You just get started and then you find your roots(?) and go on. It gets easier and easier as you go on." I think this rings true for any explorer. I also think these young men have a bright future in front of them. Endless "What can't LEGOs do?" Soul

A satellite defense system based on quantum dot technology
"In January 2007, China successfully tested an Anti-satellite (ASAT) missile
system by destroying their own defunct LEO satellite, which generated huge amounts of space debris. This ASAT test raised worldwide concerns about the vulnerability of satellites and other space assets and possibility of triggering an arms race in space. In order to meet emerging challenges posed by such ASAT missile systems, military strategists and researchers are developing novel technologies to protect their space assets. In view of the above, Raytheon Company has developed a counter measure system using quantum dots to protect space assets such as satellites from missile attacks. They have developed a decoy consisting of quantum dots of different sizes and shapes that are engineered to emit radiation having a radiation profile similar to that of the asset." Rock Center Video about "Are Newt's plans for Moon Colonies plausible?" But more about how thing have changed in terms of how Americans think. We aren't reaching anymore, we just look at survival. (Neil deGrasse Tyson author of Space Chronicles)

If NASA ever got funding problems, they can always make a multi-tentacle-submersible-bathtub-sex-toy, Model Number IXO-5, marketing name Cetus. EDIT : Micron CEO dies in plane crash RIP. Death of another great man; he didn't give his life for microchips, he gave his life for FLIGHT.

This self-guided bullet can chase you down from over a mile away
Now all we need is a gun with an auto-tracker scope and a face-raping alien species invading us.
