Higurashi has so many arcs...

Onikakushi-hen, Watanagashi-hen, Tatarigoroshi-hen, Himatsubushi-hen
Kai: Meakashi-hen, Tsumihoroboshi-hen, Minagoroshi-hen, Matsuribayashi-hen
Rei: Saikoroshi-hen, Batsukoishi-hen, Hirukowashi-hen
Manga only: Onisarashi-hen, Yoigoshi-hen, Utsutsukowashi-hen
PS2 only: Taraimawashi-hen, Tsukiotoshi-hen, Miotsukushi-hen
Anime only: Yakusamashi-hen
Light novels: Nekogoroshi-hen, Kuradashi-hen, Hajisarashi-hen

(taken from Wikipedia)

A little question: was Renas speech about Oyashirosama to Miyo somehow related to the time stop in the game?
Did she know that Hanyuu = Oyashirosama?

I don't understand what you're saying. xD Rika knew Hanyuu was Oyashiro-sama, but I think Takano was just thinking that Oyashiro-sama was fake, and that she made herself the 'god'. ^^; And from what I know about the time stop, it wasn't in the anime, but Rena's speech has nothing to do with the time stop from what I know. lol. (could be wrong though?)

the problem isn't about Rika, but Rena only.
the purpose and reasons of her speech are rather obscure in the anime version.

that's why, it is a bit hard to tell if Rena keeps going in her weird belief, or if she sensed hanyuu.

considering how she quickly made her way to hanyuu after the events, it is safe to say she knows about her.

She thought Hinamizawa syndrome was Oyashiro-sama.

The climax to this arc delivered on me huge dosages of adrenaline rush, as I was witnessing with tension all over me if the Hinamizawa Scoobies would make it out alive or not.

Spoiler:

Note: I really loved the music played when Rika was brought gagged to the Furude Shrine, waiting to be dissected.

On which soundtrack that track is featured? It's sort of a mix of fear and sorrow.

Takano is just a Kira wannabe. Too bad she doesnt have what it takes to beat L.

Oh and Mion x Kei FTW

Considering that she has manages to pull of her plan successfully in practically every world that Rika has been to, I'd say that her success rate is significantly better than that of Light.

Agreed. I didn't say that she was always successful but even excluding the ones where she failed, that probably still leaves hundreds of worlds in which she succeeded.

This series is great, but will makes me think of a Saturday Afternoon Special about friendship. Keiichi beats people on the head with a bat, but he and the girls are beating the viewers with a friendship life lesson. At least, that is what I perceive it.

Man this episode hit me on so many levels. But even though we had to watch our lil un's get killed it showed promise for the future. Rika and now the rest of the group have even more information than they did before and Rika was determine to remember in the next world. What I loved was watching everyone standing their ground together. Rena was fucking cool she actually pissed off Takano and that laugh made me think about the old Rena.

Takano is just screwed up and im sure its due to her past anyone who claims to be god needs so special attention. It took me a while to figure out why everyone was their at the end with Rika and why they could see Hanyu but i got it after a bit. My hope is that everyone can see Hanyu in the next arc and Rika does remember that Takano is their true enemy.

Oh and K1 was seriously GAR till the very end even after getting shot, A cast as likable as this one i see why Higurashi does very well. I honestly thought my last bit of hope was going to be stomped out this time but there is still some hope left as we move into the finale arc. I dont think i can take watching my pretty Mion get killed again well that goes for everyone.

Of course I gave it a 10

Another great episode, I can't wait for episode 14. Hmm with that I wonder how they will adapt the other arcs.

This is how drama should be done. After 39 episodes with this cast we've come to love them, care for them and feel as if we are among them. The character web is as thick as it can get as are the ties that bond them. The best part of this episode is near the end though and embodies the essence of gar:

Whew!
I finally got around to finish Minagoroshi... I rather am late.

I am surprised most people called Mion's last stand as a heroic thing to do though. From the way she hugged Keiichi's blood on her hand in the last bit, I thought it was more a "if he is gone, I am going too" kinda thing.

Depsite of not playing the game, I have to admit... the deaths were somewhat less dramatic without the game selection of music (according to the videos I have watched anyway ). I think they could had done a lot more with Mion and Shion's deaths too.
