Personaly i like Ranka and Michel.

It is strange to see Alto as the second most favorite character in this forum.
I did not liked Alto he had the emotional range of a teaspoon (

) and as a pilot he was nothing special

He actually had quite a lot character, its just that he was subtle about it. Well, when he wasn't screaming his head off in his cockpit.

Which is actually a welcome change from the "I'm an instant ace!" breed of mecha pilots.

I love Ranka, and I like Sheryl, I’m not on a side at all.
Why?
Because I do not like Alto. I find Alto as a male lead to indecisive and lacking too many good qualities. He gets so wrapped up in who ever he is with at the moment, that he forgets everyone else who care about him. I don’t support any pairing with Alto.

The fuss over episodes 19-22 was just pathetic drama drug up by some fans. I though Ranka was being a tad bit childish and naive, but that is Ranka and that's what makes her kind of cute to a lot of people including me (also her face has a childlike charm). She’s cute and sweet girl in my opinion.

The comments said that they was really surprised at Sheryl's presence on the 8th place out of 346, specially since she is like, the most recent heroine out of all the "legendaries" there. (C'mon, even Gundam Seed is at least 5 years old already!) Sheryl actually surpass Miyazaki's character like Chihiro and Kiki and... List all Miyazaki's works plox. (They are actually pretty close in after 10th rank)

And yes, I have to admit, 8th of 346. That's pretty much a big accomplishment there!

It really is a wonder how Cagalli came out of nowhere and took a higher spot than Lacus, who, as I said, has been on Newtype for ages.

Nice to see a recent chara like Sheryl on the list too.

Cagalli was a pretty pathetic character IMO. When Kira bitch-slapped her, I cheered. We won't even talk about how much fail she was in GSD...

And yes.. Misa should be up there as she's been one of the best female characters in anime history(again IMO).

Cagalli got killed by Destiny.. it butchered her character... IIRC I think she was ranked higher on Newtype than Lacus during original SEED or they were very close... Lacus is a fairly "placid" character.. though I'll always love that image song of her's when Athrun confronted her.. At least Cagalli had some life in her.. Gundam SEED S.E Movie 2 shower scene ftw too.
