Since that's a very bad choice. Also maybe japan is the peacemaker in this novel. But maybe you may imagine lelouch with his DAMOCLES weapon. He can threaten every country. And other nation or everyone will be his enemy. |

I don't think he cares either way. Whether or not he lives a life of peace or a life of power doesn't matter to him unless it becomes a question of what Miyuki wants. If Miyuki wants him to rule over the world or be in a position of influence I don't think he'd mind. And I think Miyuki wants everyone to know just how great her onii-sama is. Also, I'm kinda equating the Seven Sages with the Saptarishis and those guys are kind of under Shiva. So...maybe? |

I know he likes his normal everyday life. I know he likes peace. But, I also think Tatsuya won't mind being in power if that's where Miyuki wants him to be. If he's ever given an opportunity to become someone in a position to change the world--Miyuki might urge him to take it (unless of course, she thinks its too dangerous even for him.) And with his logic, if changing the world means making it safer and happier for Miyuki he'd find a reason within himself to go through with it on his own will.

Of course it isn't. This is really just me trying to look for possible developments, that may be related to something I'm also interested in. It was just that there were also Seven Sages in one of the Shiva stories so I was thinking maybe Tsutomu might tie that into the story in some way. But not completely, the only thing those guys had in common with the sages in Mahouka is the title (and there were no female sages amongst the seven for one thing), and yes, having these many similarities between the two figures doesn't mean Tsutomu's going to incorporate everything. Just what he needs. Granted yeah, even I think I might be going on too much about the heavy Shiva influences...it isn't the only thing this series has(and I'm just as fascinated with Tatsuya's Devil symbolism) but I couldn't help it...I grin like a moron every time I discover more about the two, and from a shipping standpoint...the more similarities the better. So I try to look at the story from two angles: on one hand is me looking at the story on it's own merits and trying to guess what may happen based on what has been revealed so far, which could be anything since who knows what the future has in store. And on the other is me, having fun with the similarities and trying to predict the future from what I know from the myths. But I apologize...if I might have been annoying people. But I thought it might have made for some fun discussion. ^_^ |

Since we're talking about Miyuki wanting Tatsuya in a position of power I have a question.
What exactly keeps Miyuki loyal and attached to the Yotsuba? I get she was bred, raised, and learned as a Yotsuba through and through, so there's that, It's her family and her family responsibilities. But that sort of doesn't seem good enough lately? She seems to not really like then, not really trust them, not really concern herself with them anymore than we have too. It's stated (or implied? I don't recall exact words) That if Tatsuya ever turned against the Yotsuba she would likely support him. However it's also stated she would never leave the Yotsuba. making it seem her loyalty to Tatsuya equals her loyalty to the Yotsuba, even though a lot of the story leaves a strong impression that nothing equals her loyalty to Tatsuya. So why? is it because of her own reasons that I missed in reading? or is it that Tatsuya himself keeps her attached to the Yotsuba as it's the safest course of action? I really feel like I missed something. |

It's been highly implied that her mother also used mental interference magic to make certain that Miyuki never betrays the Yotsuba. I forgot what volume it was but at the end of volume 7 or 8 miyuki had certain rebellious thoughts of the yotsuba and all of a sudden she forgot what she was thinking about.
