No, EP5 is great now, apparently.

It's more that the spoilers I've read do honestly make it look as though the other shoe has finally dropped, and I've been waiting for that to happen for a very long time.

The near-confirmation of some of the fandom's stupider and more popular theories, ones that I have also endorsed, is not helping. It's almost a disappointment, when reading a mystery, to figure out that you were right.

First, almost 95% of the people in /jp/ not even have read the actual EP.

Second, how the near-confirmation of some theories is a disappointment? Mystery is about that... and it's not like you figured the whole mystery, only some key-points.

I would actually prefer to have some of my ideas be correct, because it means I managed to understand the story and follow some proper logical paths toward something. A complete mystery that perpetually puts the reader in the dark for the vast majority of the tale makes me feel like I'm just tagging along for the ride and waiting for stuff to be handed to me on a silver platter rather than giving me the space to figure stuff out for myself.

And what is rather ironic about the theories is that, even if the statements are right, not a lot of the people who made them understand 100% how they got there in the first place. Another part of the fun is finding out the missing pieces to your theories along the way to make them fit, as opposed to being told outright "Hey your theory is right and this is why blah blah".

If you're talking about the Shkanon, seems that the whole "confirmed" is not really true at all.

If you're talking about the bomb and the pony... well, that were ones of the most logical theories floating around the net. And if we can be sure about something, it is that - a) Ryuukishi loves OVER THE TOP stuff (Rena's bomb in Tsumihoroboshi) - b) Ryuukishi loves cheesy stuff (the power of friendship, the power of love).

And really, when EP5 was released, almost everyone was complaing at how Erika was a Mary Sue and whatever... And at the end that turned to be total bullshit. Too much drama here.

It installs everything to a new directory. To go directly to Ep6 you have to unlock it because it sort of assumes you haven't played Ep5 (this volume includes 5 and 6).

So the writer Ange and Amakusa was interviewing (I call her Chijou as the parenthesis read) was the one who wrote End, Alliance and Banquet, or did I misread? Apparently we can make some sort of link to how this writer made her workand how the evnts were shown to have occured on the island itself?

It is just that my japanese isn't that good and I think I might have misunderstood one or two. (and before I start making theories (although I already have) I wanted a list of the red truths I can trust).

1. The survivors split into groups because they think the servants might be the culprits and would be dangerous if they were all together?
And one not so important one since it's a magic scene but I still wanna know.
2. About Jessica's fight....was she possesed or not? I mean her eyes were strange, behaviour was off etc. but she still seemed to know what she is doing? .... The power level for example...(which was hilarious) So did she draw power from that demons or was she completly possesed or somethig. I understood that she used their powers. I mean after all she also used her jealousy towards Geroge and Shannon etc. that wouldn't work if she was possed right?

3. Which truth did Battle confirm during the group parting scene. "everyone's" or "Jessica, Rudolph, Krauss, Gohda, Kanon and Genji's" That scene confused me a bit...

Episode 6: Dawn of the Golden Witch.

Spoiler for Ep6 summaries:

This section is the begginning up until Ange's meeting.

Episode 6

- Game begins in the trial cathedral filled with lights. The light is described to trail around in brilliance. There are flowers and a red carpet. A marriage cathedral.
- A blue heaired girl and a red haired girl dictate a wedding with Shinto prayers. Bern is saying the marriage vows to the "to-be-weds". Erika is wearing a wedding dress and is, yes, getting married to someone. The bridegroom's face is not seen.
- The attendees are composed of goats, witches, nobles demons etc. Lambda seems to chide Bern's officiating. Bern asks the bridegroom's vows, who does not respond. The bridegroom mutters something. Erika and the witches start to laugh at the bridegroom, Battler, who is said to have grayed-out eyes.
- The blue and red haired demon-girls MC for the attendees. Tjhey declare the part where rings are to be exchanged. Battler's ring is a one-wing eagle while Erika's is a diamond with the label "eternal bonds". Erika says this marriage is a success to "subdue" Battler for all eternity as a "detective". Crowd cheers her. Erika says he is trapped, and as husband and wife she will be there forever to watch his agony.

Intro Movie (which is awesome!)

- Narrator describes waking up feeling drowsy in a gloomy room. The room is nearly pitch dark save for the window. Narrator feels like crying and wants to go where "everyone" is. The narrator says this room feels like time has stoppes somewhere and wants to get out. Narrator goes out the door.
- The door is chaines shut. Narrator recalls hating chained doors in childhood. Narrator notices the chain is there but without a chain lock on his side. It cannot be opened from his side. Narrator struggles without the door and gives up. He can peer through to the corridor, tries to shout for help but apparently the sound cannot get out as well.
- Narrator begins to freak out.
- Ange and Amakusa are waiting for someone in an elegant room. Ange seems half asleep (just awakened?) and unsure what they are doing. Ange reintroduces herself and Amakusa. She restates how it is 12 years after the events of Rokkenjima, after Eva had died. Ange and Amakusa are here to meet with a lady.
- Literally, her name is "Eight Castles 18". In the parenthesis reads Chijoutoo. Amakusa initially thought this person was a man. She says her editorial department arranged for it. Ange and Amakusa are talking to her about a book she apparently wrote. Ange calls her Eight Caslte-sensei.
- Side description says she's a mystery writer who recently git into the news and won some awards under a pseudonym. She apparently gets more hype being a mysterious identity writer.
- They talk about her 0576 writing name (?). Her total writing "handle" would be 11019960576. Ange suggests the value of 11,019,960,576. This value is 18^8. Eight castles of 18. Clever...
- Some suggestion that Ange wanted to talk to her as a fan? In fact she wants to talk to her about something other than that after she found something on the internet (?). This has something to do with the message bottles being made by a fake writer.
- Ange describes about fake messages in the bottle popping up after the events. Apparently about trying to distinguish whether the bottles are truth or faked, having supposedly written by Maria. There is supposedly a claim for a 3rd and 4th bottle written by Maria. She thinks the fakes are merely literary fiction based on the writer's interpretation of the events. The witch hunters apparently dislike these. These bottles are getting a lot of attention.
- Ange says "End of the Golden Witch." Chijou apparently wrote (?) End, Alliance and Banquet. Side scene describes some minor details of the book End, that 7 people died. She apparently based them on the message bottle letters (?). Ange seems to find the works rather distasteful since it's about her relatives.
- Ange says that, by basing it on the messages, it goves some sort of "credibility" to her work. Chijou claims her truth and this gets Ange angry, saying she isn't Maria to begin with.
- Chijou thinks she didn't really come to vent her anger at how she wrote her book. Ange is pissed and wonders how she arrives at such a truth. Chijou uses the Ptolemaic theory (sun revolves around the earth) to suggest the concept of truth. She suggests that, if people stopped believing in Ptolemy, does that mean that the sun stops revolving around the earth?
- Ange states that regardless of what people believe, truth doesn't change.
- Side scene describes how people who believed Copernicus were considered heretics. It just so happened that it was hard to prove at the time. It would not change the truth that it is the earth that moves around. Ange asks if truth stays regardless of proof.
- Narrator describes the relative difficulty in getting a meeting with her arranged. A strange flashback of the events leading to Sakutaro's revival in Ep5. Memory is hazy and painful for Ange. Ange is somewhat confused.
- Ange is in a state of confusion regarding a black back, Niijima, meeting the boat captain etc. Amakusa doesn't seem to comprehend her ramblings (?).
- Chijou stares at Ange intently. Chijou describes how she revives her relatives and kills them again as per the witch's power, killing by "love". She takes out a manuscript titled "Dawn", which Ange knows is her new book.
- "Dawn of the Golden Witch." Ange apparently refuses to believe she ever met this writer, but asks what "horse" she will be this time (?). Chijou laughs. The room begins to distort for Ange.
- The room shifts. Amakusa is no longer there and Chijou looks different. Ange seems to remember dying after revealing her name to Battler. Ange's monologue describes the events of her Ep5 involvement.
- Chijou describes herself to Beato's kakeras, seeing them through Battler. She wants to know what will happen now that Battler is GM. She doesn't think the truth has been arrived at yet. Ange likens it to a picture book, saying she's not obligated to follow it.
- Ange says she just wants to find the truth and isn't obligated to her. Chijou references Sickness unto Death (Soren Kierkegaard). She seems to request that Ange read the manuscript aloud. The narration after this is hard to understand. Chijou will respect (?) what Ange decides.
- Only now does Ange give her her name. There is succeeding talk about Rome, Augustus, auroras, feather line respect and such. It'll take too long for me to decipher everything they said here so I'll have to omit sorry. Chijou entrusts Ange with the 6th story.

Basically if you can understand Battler's mentality you'll love the episode.

There are a lot of awesome moments this episode that are so great because it feels as if Ep 1-5 were building up to them
