Cruz thinks so (and when has Cruz been wrong before, lol...). I'd have a better idea if we could read the last 3 pages of this chapter, but that mark on his hand and the way it was drawn on the bottom of page 26 seem to be evidence to support that theory.

Here's a summary of the last bit of the chapter:

Cruz thinks back to Mengroze when Saten asks him where it was he met him before. Cruz remembers the mark and wonders if it was Stigmata. He then debates whether to tell Saten about it because Saten might tell Simeon about it once they get back. Cruz doesn't want to sell out someone who helped the resistance and he doesn't want a powerful Needless to fall into Simeon's hands. But, if he doesn't tell Saten, Eve could die.

I wonder where we'd be without you js06. You're like the Second who appeared before us when we were all confused and clueless and used your powers to guide us. Hopefully you don't end up like he did though...

I wonder when we'll see another distorted memory again. We saw Kafka, so I'm wondering if we'll see someone like Kurumi appear. It's too bad we won't see Uten (Blade never did meet him), since he had a very interesting fragment.

Mengroze saved Yamada's life once, so it makes sense he wouldn't let someone who helped the Resistance before fall in Simeon's hands, and less if it turns out Mengroze holds the Stigmata. But if he doesn't, that will be the end for Eve.

He must take a decision, and fast.

And about the distortion of the memories, Saten said the shard that stabbed Yamada had fragments from Blade's memories about Kafka, wich makes unlikely we'll see more characters from his memories.

If it was the memory with Kafka then maybe we'll see Cruz in this memory? Wouldn't that be interesting with Yamada meeting Cruz? Then Saten would have to protect both of them lol.

Ok, according with js06 summary, Cruz now has the key to save Eve. Put it bluntly, another development from the past changes.

Wich means his brief encounter with Mengroze took place way before the current events from the past if Saten asks him when did he meet Mengroze before.

So now Cruz is the only one who can convince Mengroze to help them and save Eve.

which page it is that Cruz knows who Mengroze is... I saw the panel with Aruka in the doorway, but since I only saw a body and not the head, I didn't know if that was Cruz or not... and due to having the Japanese skills of a toddler, I could only find a few simple phrases which I knew

I'll bet we'll see more about what happened with Cruz, Aruka, and Mengroze in the next chapter or couple of chapters. Mengroze is a pretty important link between Blade and Cruz and what happened there in that hospital room is going to be important. Cruz needed to have an IV line put in him, so it must've been a pretty bad injury. Additionally, I wonder why Mengroze always shows off his tattoo to people. Perhaps it's part of his fragment or something?

I bet the plan with how they get Eve help is to have Blade "Pretend" to join Overlord like Voras and "Papa" wanted. For either an exchange to help Eve or to distract them while they sneak into the lab.

While Gido, Saten, and Cruz go to help Eve, Blade gets his "Lolicon Training" lol

Also about why Men might not heal his own eye could be due to how he got his fragment. If the eye was injured when he got it, than reversing the time on his body before the eye got hurt would result in him losing his fragment as well I assume

Gido says transplanting Blade's brain into Eve would kill him, and Saten suggests transplanting only the part of his brain dealing with Doppelganger. Saten says Gido should be able to do it because of his knowledge from the Adam Project. Gido says that even if Blade survives the project he doesn't know what kind of "effect" it could have on him.

Actually, Cruz meeting Mengroze would take place after these current memories. We figured that because of two things. First, Cruz remembers Mengroze was in the Resistance with him and Aruka. Secondly,during these current memories, Blade, Eve and Gido are all visibly younger. When we see Cruz's memory (despite it being one panel), we see Aruka wearing her normal attire while she was in the Resistance. She appears to be the same when Blade rescues Cruz in the sewers. So that might be a more visual point of reference.

I'm going to wait on Mengroze being the one who saved Cruz in the Third Shelter since we have no idea where Mengroze is in the present. He could've died when the Resistance was slaughtered. My hunch suggests that the one who saved Cruz the second time in Third Shelter wanted him dead the first time, so maybe someone who's working with Saten on doing stuff to Cruz.

I hate to spoil your fun, yes Aruka was there and Cruz was on the bed. Why didnt he remember this before? 2nd Aruka who was standing there...wouldnt she have wasted that guy a long time ago if he was aiding the resistance? Or at least report him? Even tho she was wearing her resistance clothing its possible that something happend like (Cruz got hurt she brings him to the best doctor she can find (wich is this wacko) and that he has nothing to do with the resistance. And its possible they used something on him to make him forget this.
