Hm MAYBE Shizuma will stay another year perhaps, and be with Nagisa for the next year (in my country's school system, u can stay an extra year if u want); Indeed it is true that she will graduate, but do u all know what her career is? MAYBE her career is coming back to the school and be a teacher. All kinds of stuff can happen.

From looks of ep.23, it looks like Shizuma has an iq of -200 iq. Wth is she thinking not noticing Nagisa's feelings zom guts ==. Anyways im still rooting for Nagisa x Shizuma, cause it'd be a total waste of time and money just to focus on this pair and later separate them which i WILL not do if i the person making the storyline and the pairing.

@Xellos-_^'s prediction for ending: well now, that would be something very very interesting to see. Goal to dominate the whole school muhahaha!!!!

Uhm, yeah. It was meant as a joke. Generally, everything I say w/an emote like that can be interpretated as a joke.

*sigh* Am I the only person who feels this is getting severely drawn out? It's coming to a point where each episode actually gets me more disinterested in what may come. Still, I put up w/23 episodes of absolutely shallow, straight-forward and predictable presentation, so I might as well stick it out 3 more eps.


As for ep 23...

Amane falling off her horse and injuring herself, YEAH. Is that not the most PERFECT way for her to be out of the running for the Etoile election? This pretty much makes Tamao / her second be a shoe-in for Etoile, though Chikaru poses a challenge. And personally, I think people who concede that Tamao will/should be Etoile also indirectly support her being w/Nagisa, as being a second is practically synonymous to going official. So, yeah. Maybe I'm optimistic, but I still think Tamao-chan isn't completely out of the picture yet. We still have 3 episodes remaining. Minus the episode where Shizuma realizes how retarded she was and understanding how Nagisa feels about her (which I think is adoration, not love) makes it 2 episodes. That gives Tamao at least 2 episodes to do something. Not an impossible task. 1, if they waste time w/this Amane x Hikari crap.

Yeah. But then, I've seen so much anime that just has long, drawn out sequences like this, so I'm pretty tired that a series has mediocral writing such as Strawberry Panic has to do something like that to meet it's 26 episode criteria. There's a lot more the writers could be doing, but they're still sticking to cut and dry formulas that that practically makes something inevitable.

The writers could suddenly turn into complete pricks and have Tamao-chan and Nagisa start something, only to have Shizuma take her away in the last few moments of the show, sometimes during the coronation of the new Etoiles. That could be such dickery towards Tamao-chan, so I doubt they'd do it though. Tamao-chan might not be favoured to win, but she definitely doesn't deserve that, either.

I wish i could say im surprised about what happens to Amane but something like this was bound to happen to one of the lead charcters sooner or later it just happen to be her. Oh well at the least the horse is ok

Yes, she fell, and she's obviously unconscious, but that's all. I saw or heard no indication that she broke her back or anything. Those were generic "falling" sounds. In fact I'd be very surprised if she'd NOT make it to the Etoile selection (because that's the only way I can see to resolve the asymmetrical Shizuma/Nagisa/Tamao triangle without major cruelty).

Also, I disagree with Kuro. I've seen dozens of shows like this, and while SP's writing hasn't been exceptional or paramount, its turns surprised me often enough to keep me interested with ease. Some parts were actually really really good, and this episode certainly was among them. Strooong execution! Everybody plays very much in-character, and the resulting dilemma is both logical and touching.

Me already almost loose faith for Shizuma and Nagisa after episode 23. I'm sure there will be season 2 as Etoile battle won't finish (perhaps will never finish) since the plot are moving this slow. How can they move it slow? What are they thinking? 3 more episodes left and they made Amane fell off her starbright? And most annoying is Amane have not confess her feelings towards Hikari!!

If StoPani is adhering to the classic drama arc, we're perfectly on course for a fully resolved ending at 26. In the classic arc, this is when the heroes are on their knees and the situation seems desperate. And we just had that - Nagisa crying to sleep in Chikaru's lap, Shizuma losing it like never before and laying waste to her room. This is the destined pairing, and unless they pull a Canvas2, as Omni put it, they will finish together.

I'm only feeling pity for Tamao, who proved once more that even while she's stalkerish and weird at times, her care and support for Nagisa is very genuine. She'll be the one losing out in the end, and I just hope that the writers will come up with a twist not to leave her charred and empty-handed.
