There's something called suspension of disbelief. It's okay to have unrealistic things now and again. For example:

Irish takes a tentacle from Arachne, remains standing and still had the energy to fight. Later on, a bunch of thugs knock him down with one punch. I just use the suit as a flimsy handwave.

Well, my belief is that the looser the suspension the better. Of course that' just my personal preference.

The closest thing to suspension of disbelief would be the guys ability to control I.S., each of which has different process but the same essential element of origin.

You're worried about the suspension? Uh, might wanna check the story.

That's why I'm not keen of pulling yet another one without explanation. For one rule of cool and wizard stuff I have to pull wall of text, and I enjoyed every second of it.

The more explanation, if acceptable, the LESS suspension of disbelief it caused. If there's any mistake, then it's a fault of my flawed philosophy.

@Zero: what do you think would happen when setsura's charged claws come in contact with plasma charged fist of the hypothetical 2nd shift of Shenlong?(the one we designed a few hundred pages ago.)

If you're talking about barrier void claw, then it'll pass through the fist like paper (unless it has anti-beam mechanism). However in case of Reiryaku Byakuya (explicitly different ability) it'll only neutralize both.
