No, that's not it. A few years ago, there was a voice patch released that took the higher quality voice acting from the PS2 version and placed it in the PC version.

There are several websites out there that have the pages from the visual fan book for the original game. Unfortunately for me, they're all in Japanese. Is there anyone out there that is willing to take a shot at it?

Isn't the fanbook just a summary of the events of the game mostly? I don't know how worth it it would be for anyone who can read moon to translate it :/

This will be "a bit" late for me to answer, but oh well.

neutralvoid, you can find all my patches (including voice, x360bgm and Russian translation) here.

Question: Is there a team working on the Xbox 360 or something? I mean, it has quite a bit of changes from the original Ever 17 right?

No, because not only does no one want to go through the nigh impossible effort of making a patch for the Xbox 360 game, but the differences are so vast that no one really wants to bother with it anyway. If it had a PC release, maybe, but as it is now, I highly doubt anyone will do anything with it.

Not like the remake had any of the original writing staff or anything, so it's not a big loss or anything.

It still feels like a missed play for me at least... I mean, it's Nitroplus doing it, right?

No, Nitroplus wasn't involved with it at all.

It was 5pb.. 5pb. Games is an independent company with some former KID staff (though none of the infinity writers if I'm not mistaken), though for their first two original VNs Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate (5pb. Games is mostly a porting company; 5pb. as a whole does all kinds of stuff) Nitro+ was their publisher. These days they have very little to do with Nitro+ at all, though.

Anyways, X360 Ever17 is practically a completely different game from the original Ever17, and with the chronic shortage of VN translators it seems very unlikely someone will translate a less-popular remake of an already translated VN rather than a VN people are genuinely interested in and don't really know yet.

While this thing is sort of alive again, what happened to the manga, did it have the whole "find the rest in the VN" end or what?

It didn't continue after the end of Tsugumi's Route, so yeah, pretty much.

Well I noticed it didn't continue, I was just kinda wondering if anything was actually ever said, did it even say "end" on the last page or anything?

I've finished my retranslations of Episode 2 and 3 of "After You've Gone".

Wow, going back to these makes me realize just how bad of a translator I was back in the day.

Good work!

BTW, I cant believe this thread is still going - we are now closer to 2017 than we are to 2006 when this thread began.

So the old posts are retranslated then? Any word on how that putting the words over the video thing was going? Because that'd be the best way to see them by far

*Shrugs* I don't know how to do that. I have virtually no video skills.

Huh, I thought someone was doing it, guess they gave up or got bored, maybe one day I'll learn how to use videos like that
