Even though he could take care of her for the rest of his life by simply marrying her, that would be a different form of love and he probably has doubts as to if her feelings would change if she knew the truth. Clearly he doesn't want to ruin what he has right now. Or maybe the bastard really plans on making a harem with the rest of the girls The doubt is implied on part of Akito imo. A picture is worth a thousand words and while Akiko is looking at Akito one can only read "I love you no matter what, always and forever." on her face.

Well, after finishing the series, I can say I definitely enjoyed this one. The Harem aspect of it was pretty meh, and I've seen better. But luckily, this series had me in tears from all the laughing I did overall, so it easily makes up for it.
Didn't really have a favorite girl, none of em really appealed to me highly, but I'd say its a tie between Akiko and Ana of overall entertainment, both had be dying from their crazy jokes. I'd give this a solid 8 out of 10, and would watch a second season if it ever came to light.

I'll give this series 7/10, I enjoyed it for the fun happened in the series, and another thing catch my attention is the OST, it is good at least for my kind of music , anybody know who arrange/where the OST came from ? and other series that use the same arranger?

Last episode still had some nice stuff. I especially liked Ana kissing Akiko
I'd say that's proof that Ana also swings both ways, just like Arashi, and that she's attracted to Akiko. She doesn't call Akiko "bishoujo" (beautiful girl) for nothing. After she kissed Akiko, she stopped holding her skirt down, and as expected, the wind flaps it up, and Akiko gets to see below it. I think that was fully intentional by Ana, to say to Akiko: "Look what I have to offer. This could be yours!" Quote:
If she knew they're not blood related, she'd most likely hit on him much more aggressively The main reason because he doesn't want this is because he's gay. He never showed any interest in any girls, and there's really a broad range to choose from: age-wise, from the loli to the older women, blone, brunette, black-haired, small breasts, medium breasts, big breasts... So he doesn't want her to hit on him more aggressively because being hit on by girls makes him uncomfortable. He talks about protecting her from all factors, including him, because if she hit on him more aggressively, he would have to repulse her more aggressiley, and he might even lose it and actually hurt her in doing so, and he doesn't want to risk that. He still likes her like a little sister, even if they're not related. About the writer avoiding taboos - I see it quite the opposite. This series not only has one, but even two girls who are at the very least bi, but I think they're even lesbians. Arashi seems to think that if she pretends to aggressively pounce on males, no one will think that she's actually a lesbian. However, she's all talk, but never actually acts on it. When she gets to be alone with him, with the others outside, she doesn't try anything, but does that tea ceremony instead. Ana has never shown any attraction to Akito in the first place. She seems to think of him as a nice plaything, or someone that is fun to have around, but never tried to hit on him or anything. Her kissing Akiko in the last episode and intentionally letting the wind expose her lower parts to her but not holding her skirt down were a clear sign as well. Akito finally is the first gay main character in such a series I can think of, and being gay is even a much bigger taboo than being lesbian. As said above, he isn't attracted in the least to any of the girls. He's ok with simple friendship, but that's all there is. That makes three homosexuals, in a single show. That's quite a lot. Finally, I really do hope that there's a second season! I need more Ana! Sounds good. I'll really have to watch it then

@Shimapan
You are to much into gay/lesbian thing. No one is total gay/lesbian in this show, Arashi may be swinging both ways, Ana is just doing *high class girl play*. Akito is straigth. But whatever swings your boat if you want the whole cast can be gay for you. However untill you post true proof (novel spoilers where characters such as Akito say themselves they are gay) you are just shooting fireworks at birds.

Just finished the series.
Storytelling was very ordinary - it was the characters that carried the weight. Who would think that a 15 minute conversation between Akito and Anastasia could be so entertaining? Looking at it all, the anime would've been a lot better if it just followed the LN faithfully... Spoiler for LN comparision:

I doubt she is a lesbian nor ojou-sama's.. This is fan service anime and such "events" should never be taken literally. She has only one interest and that is Akito and the other's just for play.... |

Bizarre but interesting series. And I must say, as if it's not bad enough that she's a sleep-stripper who likes to sneak into the hero's bed at night, just look where she's got her hands hooked... All I can say is AriShiteru.
Also, does anyone really believe that Akiko's good morning flash was unintentional? Considering her character, she made sure her bra was showing before she said a word. |

This was the show that made me laugh the most this past season (shame on the shows that were supposed to but didn't).
Things I liked: 1) Self Producer, 2) Life ru is Love ru, 3) Anastasia, 4) Akiko (I hear her seiyuu is a rookie. Good job!) Otherwise, some things I had a problem with: 1) very belated OPs, 2) some episodes ended very abruptly, 3) besides the late arrival Arisa, Arashi unlike the other girls got next to no backstory, 4) I think a bit of the story should be straightened out rather than having super long flashbacks that straddle episode splits, 5) Ginbei needs more presence, because right now she has very little contribution. 8/10. Considering how the show left with "We're not really blood related," I guess I'll follow if a sequel ever shows up. I really wish Silver Link would go back to doing shows with their semi-Shaft art style though.

I'm still amazed as to what they do with Arisa. Strangely, she gets more action with the girls than with Akito... Well, it's most likely for moral and double standard reasons.
Now all that's left is waiting for the specials, they already look tempting. |
