I've nothing to do right now so here it goes.
Considering that Suzaku will become Yuphie's knight and based on all the turmoil it can cause among the people (the army too but they'll just have to obey orders) do you think they will make Suzaku to wear a mask in order to hide the fact that he is japanese (eleven) ?

That would require Suzaku to break free of the illusion that he is a "warrior of justice" first...

...And if he does, Suzaku would become more insane than Mr Orange, I would wager.

He doesn't just spoil summary preview like magazines, he also spoils minor tid-bits like C.C riding a motorcycle while wearing a goth-loli outfit (episode 14), so most likely, he's an insider in Sunrise, instead of insider in an anime magazine publication.
thanks for the info. I read his post. It sounds like some insider.. he even set up some weird Q&A spoiler which happens to be quite accurate..

3 japanese characters long? Suzaku ;p. Euphemia, Cornelia, Nanali, etc etc etc.

edit: man, talk about being a broad prediction. We already know that one of them is likely to bite the dust.

If the original statement had been made in kanji, then the answer should be obvious. We're talking about Japanese characters here (as I don't see why he'd suddenly revert to Roman alphabet each time a name is mentioned). So we've got to consider people whose names have three syllables or can be written in three letters/sounds.

文字数は適当です(ルルーシュが死をあたえるというxxxについて

Considering the original quote is this, it could be 3 kanji or 3 katakana/hiragana. Either way. But it's still kinda vague since there are a lot of chars. like that.

No.
"文字数は適当です" means, the number of xxx doesn't necessary match.
He's saying that three letters is NOT a hint.

適当、in this context, doesn't mean suitable, etc.
It's used to mean like random or thrown together randomly, or arbitrary.

Yes, I know your Japanese-English dictionary probably only list "suitable" etc, as its definition, but it's one of those words that dictionary traditionally has been lacking in stating the actual common "use" of the word, and insist on only listing one way of its use.

You can ask 100 other Japanese and you'll get the same answer as me.
適当, in general, is used to mean arbitrary or randomly.

Oh, extra info.
Code Geass on 2/16 is likely to be another summary episode.
The TV guides aren't assigning episode number to it....
so likely, it'll be episode 17.5
(since the following episode is 18, and previous is 17)

Hopefully this isn't the case, but unfortunately, very likely.

I think they postponed it a bit, based on ep 8.5 I thought they would give us an ep 16.5 and then an ep 24.5, well since this is a 25 ep serie I say we may have an ep. 17.5 then an ep 25.5 and maybe an ep 26 (extra) which will be available only on dvd's.

At least this time the recaps were requested by the audience and are not part of the plot. "Flashback'em-all" Morosawa isn't for anything here, if you see which show I'm referring to. The plot is moving faster than that one, hence the need to summarize certain things from time to time so as to give the fans a well-deserved breather. It's aggravating, yes, but it can't be helped.

Only the purist faction is actually serious about purging the army of honorary britannians so it shouldn't be too big of a deal And now they are pretty much dead. Especially if it was under the orders of the Royal Family. In this case, Euphie shouldn't have too much of a big deal forming her own battalion around Suzaku. .

There's obviously going to be some who'll voice their concerns but that's about it. Cornelia's soldiers haven't treated Suzaku any different.

My beef with those recaps was that it took up episode slots but in this case they are only the 1/2 point between two episodes right?

requested by the audience? O.o where did you get this from? :3 well i dont mind that much as long as its done well and we get 20 odd minutes of CC soothing voice
and if it is the end of mao's arc then it will serve as a well timed breather to get our thoughts together ^__^ (expect something shocking to conclude the arc...i already have a mental picture of what can happen but it may just be a bit too crazy ))

Well, the first recap (8.5 IIRC) was at least an unforeseen one, but born from the audience's feedback. Shortly after its airing there was an official statement (on the official blog) from the staff, voicing its concern about the fans fully grasping the progression of the plot and the various events seen so far - which makes me think that the recaps weren't originally planned but they eventually caught on the idea from the audience's request and then added a new recap for those who started watching the series even later on.

EDIT: okay, found the transcript on the Code Geass LiveJournal.
It's as follows:
Quote:
"...The next episode, 8.5 (recap) will be an organized look back at what Lelouch has done in the episode 1-8 and his past.

We've received a lot of requests from viewers who started watching in the middle about what sort of story happened before and that they wanted to see it. We've assembled this recap episode to answer this request. We hope our viewers who did not start from the middle would have more enjoyment of the later episodes as a result.

As for those who's been our viewers right from the beginning, we'd like you to think of this episode as a reaffirmation. If you'd like to bring your friends to watch it with you, it would make us very happy.

Thank you in advance for your support of [Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion] from now on.

*Stage 8.5 will not be counted among the episodes on the DVD, but as a special selection programme. For further information, please check the official site."
