I just don't see what's so great about Tsukune. He spends quite a bit of his time getting pushed around. And his fights aren't that impressive either.

And Simon was Gar enough to champion a whole world. What's Tsukune done that even compares?

I don't understand it either TigerII, so I 'll try to diver tthe thread with some speculation.

I speculate that some more "field trips" are in store for tsukune and co. that might link to what occured in the last couple of chapters of Season II. You know. Something like assaulting the hideouts of local bad guys, i.e. thieves, murders, creatures who have succumbed (sp?) completely to their bestial instincts.

It seems like the Exorcist wishes to aid Tsukune in controlling his powers, but why? Perhaps he wants to shake-up the old style class system/hierarchy that has existed thus far, or perhaps "gasp" he has reason to suspect that various elder beings that long for the old days when monsters dominated the human race to come back and he sees his task as training people like Moka and Tsukune to stand against them. Or something of that nature.

As for the GAR discussion well Guts and Alucard are the most GAR characters I've read of so far. I don't think Tsukune is GAR or Gay so much as being a decent guy who won't stand for girls getting hurt and doesn't look like a wimp standing up for them. "Readies shield"

for comment about what this has degenerated into... tis a common occurrence when people run out of things to talk about pertaining to the manga, or the same stuff has been discussed to death

But to continue with a few points that valerian brought up-
When it comes to what the Exorcist has planned, no one can be sure of that exactly. He's the founder of the school, which the original idea was to integrate the two worlds. Tsukune may be a step in doing this, because he started out human, got into the Youkai school, and is now a mixture of the two races (yet he hasn't been confirmed as a dhampir yet... I wonder if he ever will get that classification), and one of the strongest races at that

As for SII... what I'm currently wondering about is how Kokoa and Yukari are going to deal with the ganging up + no age pills? Will Kokoa get a moment to shine, or will it be Big Sis to the rescue, as it usually goes? I just hope we get another arc against some dark organization, as those always prove to be quite entertaining

And here's some more food for thought- we know that Vampires are merely among the strongest, but aren't at the top of the food chain. So, what demon(s) do you think might be at the top? We also know that the fox (Youko) is pretty high up there, but there's probably several more S or S+ (or any other variations of the S rank) demons... any guesses as to what they could be... obviously, we've probably got Dragons somewhere in the mix
