Up to IIRC 14. The Konoe arc is anime only, as is the last arc of S1.

I am trying to get into Shana but I don't where to start, do I go with the novels, anime or manga? I need some suggestions and advice on this.

Anime is the most easily accessible, but novels are the original storyline. They are only available in Mandarin or Japanese if you want the complete set.

I am mostly an anime fan, So i would suggest the anime :P
But, i love the novels to so i guess if you like reading, they would be better(I don't really like reading but loved it anyways)

I'd say the last place to start with is the Manga, as it only covers to Novel 3 of currently 17 or 18 at the moment and is currently continuing. The Manga as of today has the least amount of content available.

Just a question, im currently watching the anime series, and I just reached Season 2 Shakugan no Shana episode 21, and I know there are 3 more episodes left until I finish the whole entire season. But I heard of additional episodes as well. Just exactly how many additional episodes are there including the OVA's? I looked at animenewsnetwork.com and the data just seemed to confuse me, since it listed (special) on some and then (sequel), so if anyone can help, I am currently perplexed at exactly how many OVA episodes their are, and special episodes.

I only know of a movie that retconned the first arc for the first season to better match the novels, and of an OVA episode that happened chronologically in the middle of the first season.

Augh, but I need to know about the additional episodes such as the OVA's and specials. I heard that there are additional episodes after Season 2, and I am currently hoping that I have enough to watch on my anime list, including all the additional episodes of Shakugan no Shana. I just need to know the amount of additional episode there are.

I think there's only one OVA (the hot springs one), but there's a bunch of (hilarious) DVD shorts which range from 5 to 10 minutes, the Shakugan no Shana-Tan ones. MAL says 4 for S1 (and the movie) and 2 for S2...

Apparently. The creators did say as much concerning the series in some convention or something. I don't know the details... anyone else do?

I don't think there are any details out yet. Just that it's coming. I'm guessing that it might come out this October based off of previous air dates, but we'll have to wait and see.

If you read the novels thread there's heaps of what happens next in the novels, so it should be around the same as the anime

given the popularity of Shana I reckon the chances of a third season is high. I mean if ZnT gets a third season..

I agree with that, if the popularity of the second series is anything to go by, then it's a certain yes
