Episode 4: We've seen other undines (and trainees) in the background before, but I think this might be the first time (or certainly one of the few times), we've seen others as foreground characters.

Unforgettable moment: The moment when Akari goes out on the Traghetto and the instrumental version of Undine starts up. That was just fantastic.

Wow, first to comment on the episode itself!

Having already read that episode on the manga, I found that making it span a full episode was a bit of a stretch and could not help noticing the "filler" (lots of scenery scenes) and the dialogue which dragged out forever. I was also rather disappointed the animation took out the manga sequence of events just before Alice-chan stopping by the parfait-shop. (She was doing her "personal rule", sees the shop, tells herself "Nono, stopping-by is prohibited" when her stomach growls!).

Alice-chan stalking and making up excuses on the run was good fun! It's also rare to see females order a double scoop ice cream let alone triple!

I was still smiling and liked this episode but found it painfully slow even by ARIA standards.

A major animation faux pas at 00:01 and 03:33 with the oar "disappearing".

Next Navigation should be interesting as it has some original material with an original character with grandma, since the special navigation about ARIA-shachou was rather short.

Just finished episode 06… very funny and heart-warming...

Alicia-san and Alice-chan were blushing towards the end…oh my… I didn’t know Alicia-san could blush as well. I will never get tired of clumsy Athena and her facial expressions. Arika was more forgetful and awkward than usual—hilarious indeed. Alice-chan has become really good at stalking following others, trying to satisfy her own curiosity in the process—so cute and yet hilarious with each excuse (I can lie much better though).

After watching this episode, I feel like eating ice cream for some reason…

Ahhh, episode 6...
Lots of dead air in this episode, - made it seem longer - though we're treated with some very neat and well done shots of Neo-Venetia.
Framing in the latter part of the episode kind of felt strange for Aria - almost SHAFT-like in quality.
As for the content:

Kind of strange giving this an entire episode to itself. Guess someone in production likes Alice, or as suggested earlier, episodes are following a pattern where our leading ladies have it all to themselves.
OP sequence was not too bad. It was nice to see more Alice and Athena. I felt kind of bad laughing at Akari's screw-ups. Alice's failed attempts at spying on them was quite fun, too - having to make stuff up when she was caught. On the exchange between Alice and Alicia, I guess we're given more of an insight on Alicia herself despite this being an Alice episode. Also, WTF with the cut-in 3D CG.

On a side note, I noticed the sponsor screen at the very end had the second track on the ED single. It would make for a very nice insert. Also, to comment on an earlier episode, seems we haven't gotten a new canzone from Athena yet. Or, rather, we will get a new canzone this season, but it's been reserved for -another person-. The thought of this excites me to no end.

a cute & funny episode. the sd scenes were great, and seeing clumsy side of akari (though played out a bit, for the story's sake) was nice. the athena x alice bit in the op was great too. and i loved the detailed scenery littered throughout the ep like the outdoor tap & bucket and the tiled roofs. next week = AA's episode, so can't wait

Highly, HIGHLY recommended for Alice fans. Some people commented that it's slow, and there are a few extended scenes, but I personally felt like they were intentional pauses that worked well (i.e. adding to Alice's awkwardness). Hirohashi Ryou was fantastic, and didn't sound one bit like Tama-chan.
