really REALLY good first chapter,

i love this "humanity slept for thousands of years" concept a lot

i can smell a potentially VERY interesting series

PS: the MC was in stone for around 3721 years

EDIT: does anyone also have the wish to see this becoming a survival story with superpowers?
the setting is in the jungle and the world has no civilisation, perfect for different camps fighting each other

ok that was fast, the two already managed to get a cure for the stone-thing...

to be honest, i wish for some superpowers and a battle shounen, but right now this is quite un-fantasy-like with some info-dumo here and there...i give it until ch10, if than there is no sign of this becoming a battle shounen i will probably drop it

PS: the muscle-one of the team can even grow a beard...that is the first time i see it in a WSJ manga

I expect a lot from Boichi and Inagaki but the problem is the theme is out of ordinary for special themed manga and it's hard for me to imagine for Inagaki to handle this. That guy is good in writing a slice of life, school, sport manga and this area definitely new for him.
Boichi is no problem for me, his art is good he only need to struggle a bit to adapt his style in shounen series.

edit : I think we need to wait for a bit...around 10 chapter to see the real essence of this manga, it taken a several chapters for me to get used with to you immortal manga so this also will work.

the MCs want to awaken the heroine, but lions attack out of nowhere,

they run away and it is revealed that the MC cant fight for sh*t, he is a tank,

so they wake up the highschools strongest student who one-shots the lions,

and now they have "the brain", "the tank" and "the one who attacks",
all in all a good chapter, somehow i fear that if this series will not introduce supernatural stuff that i will lose interest...this series reminds me on neverland so im not that interested in this kind of storys....
exspecially since superpowers would fit perfectly into this series

Senku representated the readers worry, my credit for him.
At least this confirmed the author aware the third man troublesome potential.

It's kinda unfair to call Tsukasa "primate" when Taiju is so much dumber than him. He may not be a genius like Senku, but he looks like has at least above average intelligence.

I wonder what kind "sandwich" Inagaki ate few week ago, the pace horribly fast.
He made Tsukasa fought duo too early.
i knew it Tsukasa should never been introduced at early chapters, early chapters should focused on world building first.

So the recent chapter ended with Senku going to Kohaku's village.
Tsukasa really is the antagonist of this series aye. Maybe the next time we change from Senku's story to Taijuu/Tsukasa story, Tsukasa may have already build a empire lol.

Volume 1 sold out quickly due to popular demand. So you needed to preorder it if you wanted to get it and not wait for 2 weeks for the second batch.

Wait. The magnetic north's always been off from the geographic one, so what are they on about?

We got the magnet for the dynamo, he gotta build the rest for it to work. Still cool to think so early on electricity, if others under Tsukasa hear about this they might want to change sides as well.

They're still a long way from any electrical devices, but Senku's definitely going to build them eventually, compared to Tsukasa's caveman society. Senku's been getting away with a lot, but the village leaders probably won't let this go on for much longer.

They need technology to survive the onslaught aganst Tsukasa. Magma even can't defeat Tsukasa in one on one combat. I should say that the villagers should put their faith on Professor Senku for this once they realize that Tsukasa wants to dominate them and kill those that opposes him. Rules are rules but sometimes it needs to be broken in order to establish what it means for survive because Tsukasa are not going to follow rules so easily.
