Yep that is the story of Siegfried. There's also a lot more though, he kills a dragon named Fafnir and baths in it's blood, rendering him invulnerable. However during his bath there was a leaf on his back, making a blind-spot where he could be stabbed or shot to death. This is also where he got the nickname Siegfried Dragonkiller, and makes him a natural enemy to dragon-blood creatures, like Arturia for example. What happens to Sigurd after this is what Flinch said.

I think I am in knowledge with the majority of the story with the exceptions of some minor details, as I am Norwegian it's natural to learn about him in school, as Nibelungenlied derives from Völsunga saga and the tale of Sigurd (Siegfried's Nothern-Eruopean name: Sigurd Fåvnesbane [Sigurd fafnsbane or something]), where he is a Norse hero, (Norse = Scandinavia.)

His sword Gram that is forged in the Volund smithy is from Norway (I think) in lore, also where his father pulled it out of the tree Branstokk (similarities to Caliburn) , it was destroyed, and then reforged in Siegfrieds time, where it got the name Balmung. It's also a possibility that Siegfried is Beowulf if we compare Nibelungenlied to the poetic Edda.

He also ate the heart of the dragon giving him wisdom. I remember there being a direct reference to sigurd in beowulf

Fate Apocrypha’s leak magazine scan from Type Moon Magazine.

Release date confirmed: Around mid-date December 2012.

Information about Ruler:

As one can see, she looks quite confident and fearless – not to mention, quite well-endowed as well. Her vestments seem more elaborate that those of Saber in terms of physical protection.

And a final feature to mention, her roleplay is familiar among “Anti-Hero” archetype.

Jeanne d’Arc’s servant class type is now actually three, based from her fighting style: Saber, Lancer and one biggest part of important of her, Ruler.

“In the name of Joan of Arc, I command you, fourteen servants. - Ruler.

Written by Yuichiro Higashide.

illustrations by Ototsugu Konoe.

Now, maybe if we get Kana Hanazawa to voice jeanne, she would be a grown up, medieval armour Charlotte Dunoa. xD

Considering Chiwa Saito's up to her third role in Fate spinoffs alone (Extra Caster, Kuro, Misaya), I don't see why Kana Hanazawa can't get a second character.

Don't forget Hiroki Touchi (Twice H. Pieceman of Fate/EXTRA and Daisuki Akimi of Kara no Kyoukai), Mamiko Noto (Bedeviere of Fate/stay night and Fujino Asagami of Kara no Kyoukai), and Ryotaro Okiayu (Berserker of Fate/zero and Satsuki Kurogiri of Kara no Kyoukai)

I wonder if they ever Ufotable ever filmed the voice actors voicing their lines because it's going to be fun watching Joji Nakata doing his Kirei lines. xD

And I am also hoping that whoever voices Jeanne may learn some "broken" french for lulz. xD

So, Jeanne is three classes in one, including both a whole new class of her own and the buttjoke class (being Jeanne certainly is suffering, after all), and she'll be somewhat of an anti-hero? This deserves a Caster reaction image, but I'm not sure which one.

This sounds like such a mess, yet it just makes me want to know more. Honestly, this whole project has me excited, mainly because it seems like some crazy experiment to check if the fate franchise can hold its ground with only the concept of the grail war and without any of the characters we've come to know and love.

The irony is.........Jeanne as Lancer is make sense if she use La Pucelle to commit suicide (According to Fate Material info) and she use flag as weapon (In very lancer-ish).

As for "Anti-Hero", i think she was actually final boss? Come of think it, she is "Ruler" after all. Unless there is another reason she is really anti hero like Berserker Stay Night (Hercules) who suppose to be Hero but instead as villain.

Speaking about hero, was there info about Jeanne will have partner since last few weeks? I won't surprise if she really does (Pretty much standard for Type Moon, opposite sex of two protagonist like Saber & Shirou, Tohno Shiki & Arc, Ryougi Shiki & Mikiya, Saber Proto & Ayaka).

It just my wild guess though.

This is just mistranslated. Correctly is that she can be summoned in these three classes. Saber, Lancer or Ruler.
