Well, at least you found the anime first and not the manga- you didn't have to spend several hours worth of time ripping out your eyes and screaming in agony and pain of what the anime did to the manga
and I personally found this series by doing a search on Baka-Updates for superntaural and romance... saw the volume 1 cover, loved vampires, and after 10 chapters (which fortunately were all scanlated, along with many more), I was hooked

Yahoo~hoo~! Page 800!! *does a dance*
....*ahem*.... I don't even remember how or when I found Rosario+Vampire... It seems as if it was that long ago. When I saw that the main female lead had a personality change along with turning into a white-haired vampire, I was sold...XD And I experienced the same pain along with Magin when viewing the anime.

I guess I found it relatively recent then. To Love Ru had just finished and I was looking for a replacement. I must have seen someone mention Rosario as a similar ecchi-type series, and when I looked it up, I liked what I saw. A wimpy (early on) male lead who meets a pink-haired nonhuman and then develops a further harem was welcome familiar territory, considering what I was looking for. And it's definitely exceeded what I wanted.

I may not have been here long, but I was on the Franky House R+V threads since it was just getting into the triple digits, and it was also around the time that the scanlations for the the first season were being done weekly and season 2 was just months away from starting.

Unfortunately, its AnimeSuki, so we'll have to cope with one giant thread. Unless of course they make a new anime series that's good enough that the series has a lot of discussion to warrant a subforum.

Well in my case I accidentally stumbled upon the R+V manga and it seemed interesting so I gave it a try, after that I have been hooked on it.
Regarding the anime, well truthfully I never managed to bring myself to see it, after I heard how they messed up it is, especially considering what they did to Tsukune's character development, since his development from a typical harem naga protagonist into someone who deserves the attention he is getting from his harem into what kind of guy he currently is, is one of the things that managed to get me hooked on this manga . Also it was one of the things that made R+V evolve from a typical harem manga into what it currently is and since the anime completely butchered that part of this manga, by keeping it mostly with fanservice ... and didn't fallow the manga at all, it made me seriously disinterested in watching it. (Well I like fanservice and echhi content since I'm a guy after all and the girls in Tsukune's harem are pretty high class after all, but if it's something that the plot is all about it seriously makes me lose interest in watching that kind of show. So unless they make a complete remake of the anime, which at the moment doesn't seem likely, I doubt I will manage to bring myself to watch it at all. I would probably reread the entire manga again, compared to watching the anime at least once. |

Well i discovered the anime first, and decided to give the manga a try, the manga was my drugs, i got "hooked" on it
Tsukune's character in the manga was a hell of a lot better, than in the anime

We can all say that for now since the anime was more fanservice.
But if they followed R+V manga storyline(anime I mean) I think it'll be a different story. Hope a new studio gets R+V again and do a "RE-VAMP" which most of us here wanted. Quote:
The ghoul chapter REALLY needs to get animated.
