haha. yeah.
but at least we get to know her better.. i really like her strong character.. she reminds of the saying, "the difference between a smart man and a wise man is that a smart man knows what to say and a wise man knows whether to say it or not". she is the wise man. if she was given more air-time i guess i could have liked her more than ami. for me she is great for she knows what she is doing and where she is heading. i personally like that in women. ^^ although sometimes, her actions are a bit, hmm.. careless? and bossy? i can't think of a better term.. with her manners and words. but i think she's not a tsundere. and also. why do you think she has the nickname "big brother"? it makes me remember about the reality game show with that title.

... well... #1 ... I don't think typhonsentra has a copy of the script. If he has a reference, linkage would be good.
#2 Sumire *is* graduating this year so yeah, she's moving on in some fashion. But yes, love the character - I'm hoping she will get the same sort of illumination and revelation as the other characters even if not as deeply. Not particularly counting on it though...

Missed my point. Knowledge of the novel does not predict how or when the anime will adapt it (and in how many episodes).
Do you have an episode title or something that implies what you're speculating?

Ah.. didn't know that they'd released the episode titles for the second season yet.... I often find it very odd when they do that since it frequently telegraphs the plot.

well... he's having what we used to call a "Peter Pan" moment in the States ... he's not ready to grow up. Its actually a psychological condition many young teens go through (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puer_Aeternus).
But this thread should focus on Sumire.... episode 15 had her being particularly uninformative and uncooperative with the teachers. Don't know if that's been her modus operandi in general with them or if that's something unique to this situation. The teachers seemed rather helpless.

She is a strong minded girl with her own pride. She is an equal to Tiger in terms of intensity and deviousness that will rival Ami. Brains that is superior than Kitamura.
In ToraDora! universe, she is the Alpha Queen. Only she did not have detachment like Ryuji or humor like Minorin.

Not only strong minded, but pretty darn heartless too. Gives you the impression she'll trample you to the ground if you stand between her and her goal.
Spoiler for Novel reference:
I still don't quite understand why she was so cold to Kitamura; I thought she liked him too. Perhaps she had her own pride to protect? Last edited by wistfulloner; 2009-01-20 at 08:25. Reason: Sorry! |

Aye... I'm half suspicious that the main cast was kept to five for lucky-number reasons rather than something logical (five is lucky and even numbers are unlucky) .... Sumire really seems half-in/half-out and would have made a fascinating main character.
