Animal Yokocho

Are people still interested the adventures of Iyop the Rabbit, Kenta the Bear, Issa the Empathic Panda, and the little girl into whose lives they have thrust themselves?

And what's this I heard about the series only being twelve episodes? That seems like far too few for a series of this type.

Silly fact: Accorind to the notes in the animal Yokocho manga, "Kenta" the bear is named after...... "Kentucky Fried Chicken"

Yup.

Considering the fact that twelve episodes have already been aired and there's a preview for next episode in the end of the twelfth episode, I find it quite hard to believe that there will be only twelve episodes...

Interesting silly fact! Now for a silly question. In the OP, one of the lines is "born in London". Is this a "Hello Kitty" reference by any chance?

I'm still interested in this show. My undying hope that there are more fansubs on the way is the only thing keeping me going from day to day.

Same. I thought I was the only one who loved this series. I've watched the old subs over and over, laughing each time at the antics and gut busted dialogue. Sigh. RAWs would be nice.

Got to downloading a.f.k's subs after listening to the OP mp3. I was not dissapointed. Its simple and fun humor wrapped in a cute atmosphere. Another refreshing anime to see if you appreciate that stuff.

Art reminds me of a toned down kodacha.

Actually, I take that back, Kodocha is a bit more sloppy in animation compared to Aniyoko. Its the zaniness that is toned down a bit that I meant.

But anywho, I cant wait for ep 8. (but I am patient)

Unhappy

There hasn't been a sub from a.f.k for a while lately
I'm not sure if any other sub group wants to do Animal Yokocho

It's another great series ditched by subbers (i.e. Kaiketsu Zorori)

The translator/timer/typesetter/encoder/editor is currently "a.f.k.". (I know he is around, but havent heard a word from him.)

P.S. Zorori is unsubbed because it is just plain bad.

Zorori is VERY popular in Japan (He's having a movie bundled with Keroro Gunso's movie for crying out loud!)
How can it be "Bad" as you described?

The way a.f.k. works is basically Strato (aka T3) does whatever the hell he wants. So unless you can see into his mind, we may never know. I tried asking E2 whats going on but he just told me "You lose."

Although I have just watched one episode of Animal Yokocho (due to lack of time and despite the fact that Animal Yokocho is at the very top of my priority list ) - thank you a.f.k. for continuing to sub it!

Personally, I also got that "Kodocha"-feeling from this anime... it is so funny in such a crazy way *_*
