FL3: Takakamo Shizuno vs Uiharu Kazari vs Suehara Kyouko vs Chino
Shizuno is a strong Saki character but is not among the elite Saki characters. In a straight match she might be able to beat Uiharu but I don't think she can do it when held back by split votes. I have Uiharu taking first and Shizuno in second. Similarly due to split votes, I have Chino beating Kyouko. Chino might have been stronger anyways but I think I have a habit of underestimating Kyouko so I guess we'll see what happens. Vote: Uiharu Kazari Predictions: Uiharu Kazari Takakamo Shizuno

Waiting to see what the final results look like in match #2. Apparently Alice has already proven that even Saki is not immune to vote eliminations. Now it looks like Saki has to worry about opponents getting a vote recovery. If Alice was still at 73 instead of 80, Awai still would have advanced. But with Alice advancing, she already guarantees at least one non Saki/non PMMM rep in the top 16.
Maki is trying to advance as well, and from what I'm seeing (all votes combined - no fakes or suspicious votes removed yet) Maki actually has a temporary lead. It would be interesting to see if she holds on to 1st, or at least 2nd. |

First of all, I couldn't access the files in the admin thread for some reason, which means no early unofficial results for now.
Second, I'll leave the future announcement of results to Hachiko and FractalFusion. I'm not able to be around online at the time they announce official results (and god knows when they would announce that since the time is not fixed).

Latest unofficial result is from the official admin thread:
Quote:
Prior to post deletion, Maki was leading at 224 over Nodoka's 190 and Ryuuka's 148. The process of counting votes officially is basically this: - The main admin, ◆RUN//AoUpI (also known as RUN), will post some time after the match (possibly a couple hours after) that he has finished deleting the posts, and asks for everyone to reload the data. This is no longer a question of if. - All data/results posted before this announcement are completely unreliable. - Only data/results posted after this announcement are possibly reliable. RUN and a few others will generate results independently. After agreements in match results are obtained, generally nothing else happens until RUN or some other person posts the results in the voting threads. - Although agreement can be reached very quickly (maybe a couple hours after the match or so), posting the result in the voting threads can be many hours later. Posting on the official AST 2014 site may take even longer than that.

Assuming the unofficial results are valid. I'm pretty happy with the results this time. To my surprise not only does Ryuuka not get bussed, she manages to beat Yuu and Maki to take second place and advance to the next round. I really do wonder what happened to Love Live since they looked a lot better than this before. Every single Love Live character seemed to tank at the start of Round 3. I'm also surprised that Yuu got killed so badly. That's some pretty impressive coordination by the Saki fanbase to abandon such a strong character so thoroughly. Although as much as I like Ryuuka, I'm not sure if this was the right decision since Yuu probably is stronger than Ryuuka. I guess Saki has character slots to spare so it isn't a big deal if Ryuuka advances over Yuu.

Ryuuka is strong, as expected of a certain Saimoe champion's BFF.
Anyway, taking a quick look at 2ch, today's winners will be Shizuno and either Kyouko or Chino. Uiharu's votes are unexpectedly scarce for some reason.

Railgin and LL! looked like they might go somewhere, but ever since the vote deletions have been enacted, they've had nothing. Railgun will completely evaporate this round. Just watch. |

FL4: Matsumi Kuro vs Syaro vs Jindai Komaki vs Yukinoshita Yukino
Kuro should be a fairly safe pick for advancement here. Even with the split vote I think Kuro can get first. It's hard to decide who will advance among the other three. Gochiusa characters are decently strong and Syaro might be the strongest of the group but I'm not sure they can compete at this level. Yukinon is also pretty strong herself. Komaki is probably stronger than Yukinon and Syaro but once again has to deal with split voting. For this reason I have her coming in third. I think I'll go with Yukinon in second but I'm really not sure. Vote: Matsumi Kuro Prediction: Matsumi Kuro Yukinoshita Yukino
